Great nightlife spot with Latin rhythms. Drinks are priced as in any other nightclub in River North. We visited on Friday and they had free cover for ladies. By midnight it got really packed but we still had enough room to dance. I highly recommend if you are looking for more mature crowd.

Those who know, know. this is not your typical latin club, the dj was ok, the sound system lacks thump. They need to invest on some lights. $20 a person they do make some cash at the door but they can't keep the patrons in to spend more. They lack variety when it comes to the music selection. It has potential maybe... We left after 20 minutes of noise
Nacional 27 was the venue for our rehearsal dinner, and we could not have been happier! We had amazing food & drinks for one thing. We did our own seating arrangements but were given the room layout in advance which was helpful. We also had music and salsa dancing (including a short salsa class), and my brother-in-law was able to be the MC for speeches later in the night. The staff were friendly (I personally appreciated our waiter who gave our table a round of tequila shots when we asked for them... I don't think he was supposed to but it helped with my night-before-wedding nerves haha). The food was so good, and it was served family style so each guest could try a variety of dishes. Apps were passed as guests arrived as well, and then we had an extensive dessert bar. It was such a fantastic start to our wedding weekend, and so memorable for all of our guests who were able to attend!

We had our work party here and it was a blast. The food was incredibly good, the music was great, and the space is really nice. The drinks were high quality, and the dance floor was a nice touch. We had karaoke and a photo booth set up and everything flowed really well. I would be very happy to come back here.
I love the food & enjoyed their outdoor sitting area. It is well covered with beautiful Ferns which too me is very important when you're ddining outside. Other restaurants needs incorporate this look when setting up for summer outdoor dining.
It's a nice cozy place for entertainment. There's a cute bar plus a romantic restaurant behind. You can enjoy the music and if you love dancing you can join their free salsa dance lesson for half an hour on Wednesdays.
But they have lack of service at the restaurant. I wish they care more about their clients even the price was a little expensive.
If you are looking for great music, a good time, and amazing food, then Nacional is the place to be! The food here is amazing and the drinks taste wonderful. They are very accommodating and have some of the best staff of any place I have ever been to! If you have a craving for tacos the fish taco here is one of the finest in the city!

The employees are rude people at the end of the night they start screaming at you to get out there's no air circulation and it get gets really smelly

The pitcher of mojitos was a great value, and strong enough. The appetizer sampler was good, not great. Too doughy for my tastes maybe. (think empanadas)

We came here for the free Wednesday evening salsa lessons. This was so much fun and good exercise too! After lessons we had great dinner. Lots of great sharing options on the menu and tasty margaritas (you can order a pitcher).
I use to go to National 27 all the time I could not believe how busy it was. I was annoyed by the amount of glasses that were broken on the floor. I don't understand why people can just put it back at the bar when they are finished. One last thing that almost made my night the DJ started to play Rock in Spanish and he cut the music off at the best part. SMH GRRRR

I took my gf here for her bday. It was absolutely fabulous! We both enjoyed the food and atmosphere. She was quite surprised when they cleared the floor of tables and chairs. It then became a club playing Latin music!

Came here on a Saturday night around 6pm with my boyfriend, it was dead but picked up by the time we left at 9pm. The ambiance is very cool, kind of a Cuba vibe, with low lighting and leafy potted palm trees. They mistakenly told us Happy Hour was 5-7 that day on the phone, even though it's only during the week, and were gracious enough to honor their word upon our arrival, so we enjoyed 50% ALL APPETIZERS! We had the ceviche, a cheesy corn dip that was super rich and delish, and some bbq lamb tacos. Jessica bartends but took our booth and was an incredible server. Very attentive, personable, and makes a killer strong margarita. I would go back just for her drinks, but the food was great, cool scene and turns into a nightclub dancefloor at 11pm! A hidden gem :-)

I wish I had arrived earlier for the food but dinner had already ended by the time I showed up to a birthday party being held here last Friday. By 11:00pm, tables had been moved around, a DJ was spinning music and people were dancing in the middle of the floor. I did have a great time salsa dancing, learning moves from my dance partner all while sipping a few really delicious mango sangrias.
Paid a big dinner and drink tab with a party. Got kicked out at 11:00 because the night club opened up. Pretty weak. Food was ok I guess.
Awesome restaurant. They do dancing a few nights a week by opening the main dining floor into a dance floor. The food is on point and the apps are great. There is some parking available if you walk a bit but that's a good thing, especially after a huge meal there. I would certainly recommend this to others.

Came for a dinner party with about 6 people. We had a 8:30 reservation for dinner. wasn't seated till 10:15. Once seated with in 5 minutes of siting down we were told that we have to buy a bottle to sit at the table. The staff was rude especially the host. I and my friends will NEVER return to this establishment. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE.....
They denied me entry due to the fact I was wearing Vans shoes. This place is a joke. I ve been to dozens of places in Chicago wearing these shoes and have never been denied entry. This place will never see me again and I suggest that they be a little more relaxed on that policy.
Went here for my wife's birthday. Hosted around 40 friends and had a great time. The food was great and the service was good.

I was here for an event. Good facilities overall. Parking was close but not free. Didn't try their food, just a few drinks which were priced reasonably. Good service and ambiance.
Overpriced by a lot! I had the Cuban pork and let me tell you, it was like someone dropped a bottle of hot sauce by mistake in it. No Cuban food is spicy. Past 9pm everyone pays a $20 cover. And to top it ofc the wait at the bar is insane. This place sucks!
The bartender with pink hair was terrible. I was patiently waiting to place an order and she kept ignoring me. She had favorites that she would skip you for them.
I waited 20 mins and I got frustrated and went to opposite side of the bar and got a drink in 2-3 minutes.
I would go again for music but stay away from this bartender.
DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! This place is so unorganized, made a bottle service reservation a week prior to celebrating my birthday. When I arrived we were to wait. While waiting we kept getting told by different bouncers to move and get out of the way. We waited for over 10 minutes. The bouncers were just letting other people in and completely forgot we were there. I decided to just leave since I was not about to spend money on a place that doesn t prioritize their reservations. I will not be coming back to this place. Don t expect to be seated upon arrival even if you have a reservation.

Although my night didn t go as planned, and I m still unhappy that my birthday didn t go as planned. Their management team contacted me in less than 24 hours and resolved the issue.
They promised me a gift certificate but it s been 3 months and haven t gotten anything. Not worth the hassle. Just know in advance that your plans might not go as planned while booking with them.
Was here for a company event. The staff is friendly, drinks are in line with the theme, guacamole is pretty good.

Worry club I ve ever been to. Waited over 10 minutes to get a drink and then was DELIBERATELY ignored by the bartender. Then went to wait for my friend on the dance floor and was rudely asked by the bouncer if I was going in or not. Worst experience I ve ever had a club, period.
I like the food and service, and the Friday night dance party is so much fun. When we are there at night the place looks good. I happened to be there in the day, inquiring about having a company Christmas party there, and the place looked bad. Those linens they use sure make a big difference in its appearance. All in all though I will definitely eat there again.
