Nacional 27 Review

Went for a night out with my friends and have to say best latino club I've visited so far. Got there right around the time the dance floor opened and was already packed! Great music, great atmosphere; a classy, clean place. I just wish this place was open until 4am!

The best latin place in Chicago. Clean and nice people. May be is a little expensive but you can drink beer..

I think this place is overrated. Food was fine, not great but ok. Don't ask for JW Black Label for you will be given Jack Daniels from a Black Label bottle, smh, guys there are some of us that know our Scotch!

The food and service was great! The music hot! If I had a negative it was Uncle Hector walking back and forth, hovering over our table. Snatching stuff off the table before we were done.

Celebrated birthday. Great atmosphere and service. We went for dinner and then stayed for salsa night. Food was average ( no flavor ). Club was fun. DJ was good.

Bartenders are fast and super nice !

Fridays and Saturdays the music starts at 11pm great drinks at awesome latin music all night i highly recommend!

Very reasonable prices. Sides weren't too good and the service was really bad though.

I was at Nacional about 10 years ago. Now completely different. The crowd very young very drunk or worse.

Went here dancing. Drinks were good. Night was a blast.

Chef Cory Morris was amazing! We went as a group and everything we ordered was delicious! Will definitely be going again soon!

First of all, According to me, I went to national 27 in chicago, I had tried drink taste was amazing no doubt but drink was damn costly in my book.Thank you!!

Food was great, very flavorful. Drinks were good. I went for a graduation get together and the room was good for an open yet secluded space.

What a great place to go with a group of friends! Family style meal was great. The Salsa dancing at the end of the night was fantastic.

This is a great place to enjoy Latin music and food!!!!
Best day to go is on Saturday. Make sure you wear the right outfit and shoes.

I went just for the music and dancing. Although it got so full you couldn't really even dance... The worst part is when they start charging club fee entrance at 930 and the club starts at 11. They say ... If you leave by 11 we will return the $20 per person cover charge but if you don't you lose it. I mean dam... I am going in, buying food and drinks and you still want to charge me extra? Not cool man. Not cool.
Staff is also rude. Guess they think they are better than the customers that are going in to pay for the entertainment bc the bouncers are arrogant and pushy and the bar staff blatantly ignores you. Or specifically asks for a bigger tip or tells you how much to tip. Idk. Other than the music, I guess the place is not that good.

I just wanted to eat and the guy at the door didn t let me in because I m wearing Nike shoes, I m visiting Chicago!!! I only bring one pair of shoes! Don t waste your time on this place

The atmosphere is great especially if you stay until the dancing begins on the weekend. The food is just fine, we order a steak salad that was good but way too salty. The shrimp was good but smelled a little strong also a little too salty yet the red Sangria was great. Nonetheless, the prices are way too high for the portions but the quality of the service is great. I would only return to dance and drink, but would not recommend for dinner.

Food not bad, but too expensive. Me and my wife went there for dancing after finding the place in Google. It says dancing start at 9 pm so I reserve a table for 2 online at that time. That's when we order food. We toll the waiters that we were there to dance latin music. They just explained that we have to order before 10:15 because after that they prepare the place for dancing. After we order some meals and before finishing they explained that we can't remain in the boot because it was for groups orderin at least $200 in liquor. We don't drink much, I replied and one of the guys toll us that we have to leave and wait in the bar. That was rude and unfair after payng almost $80 in meals. Yes, you can dance but after buying drinks in the bar but you can't use the tables around the dancing area.
After 11 pm the place was overcrowded, it was almost impossible to dance, there is no control over how many people can acces the place. Sad, looks like a good latin place in downtown Chicago, but it's too small for such a big demand.

This place is quite nice, they organize dancing competitions and play some descent latin music. the food is very good, should try the pork tenderloin. Drinks are very good, this place is quite famous for its mojitos and margerrita's. Should try if you are in chicago.

Part of the Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises, Nacional 27 offers a twist on Latin food and drinks. The service as well as the food were great. If you are dining on a weeknight you are almost certain to find a seat.
