The Delivery Chef manager came to my apartment to make right the order I complained about, bringing me the two Diet Mtn. Dew 2 liters I THOUGHT I ordered. It turned out to be my mistake, not theirs, but they still Gave me the drinks! The food from Nara's was still bad, but that isn't Delivery Chef's fault.
Fast service, no refusal to come @ certain time or address. Love this service
My husband and I were picking up an order at a Chinese Restaurant in Hickory. As my husband attempted to recap our order to the owner, and I was explaining the difficulty I had in getting delivery, a young man rudely interrupted our conversation to tell me (at my back) that I should have used The Delivery Chef. I replied that I had tried them first and that this particular restaurant was not listed on their website. He then proceeded to argue with me, saying he was picking up an order and consequently pulled up the website on his phone , then shoved it in my face to show me the picture of the restaurant we were in. I am a senior and was of course upset that I was forced to pick up my food, but I became more upset because the young man was not observing social distancing. As the man attempted to give me a history and background of the company (The Delivery Chef) for which he is a driver, I told the store owner, who was apologizing profusely that I would just like to get my food and go. Shortly thereafter, we took our food and left. I will admit that by that time, I was so upset that I turned and told the young man that he should work on his customer service skills, at which he sarcastically replied : Have a great night.". I am sad to say I will never use this service because of his poor attitude. He may be tired, but he has a job and should remember many are suffering besides him.
If this is the same tall guy that's doesn't have a lot of hair.. He isn't the nicest person and he charges these fees for these people to order but then doesn't tip the person on to go side that gets his multiple orders ready everyday. It's not fair that we take time away from our guest to get his stuff ready that he is making money on and he can't even tip $5... He isn't nice about what he wants on the phone everyone knows he is the guy that doesn't tip and the rude delivery chef. If you see this I wish you knew how hard it actually was to deal with no making any money and still having to get your orders ready and then get behind on my tables to make absolutely nothing!
Responsiveness and Punctuality are my top two of the many reasons I will continue to use Delivery Chef. I have seen their vehicle on the roads in Cat. Co for over 15 yrs at least and finally decided to give them a chance. I will be calling again for this service. We were very pleased

Adam was here before the estimated delivery time. I am so happy to find out we have this service in Lenoir. Adam was also extremely friendly and found my driveway first try (which is rare because I m out in the sticks).
Would give less than 3 stars, but the delivery driver was good. Price is expensive for delivery, and I received a salad with no dressing and no eating utensils. Would have been nice to get a credit toward future delivery, but they only offered to "get utensils and dressing from somewhere else" and drop it by to me at work. Wont use this service again.
They make you select a tip option and never bring any condiments you ask for. Just use doordash and save yourself some money and trouble

Great delivery service. I ve had the pleasure to work with the drivers as they ve purchased food from my workplace to deliver to customers, as well as on the receiving end of their delivery service. They are prompt, and very thorough. They have high standards and expectations and tend to meet them just about every opportunity. I placed an order online which their website is very easy to navigate, and they delivered just as promised. They deliver from tons of restaurants for a very reasonable price. My food was hot and just as promised. Great delivery service.

Took me 2.5 hours to place an order on their website. The next day, they called to let me know that the shop I ordered from cannot do they delivery but they will organize delivery through another sweet shop. I agreed and the next thing I see is an email that they wont be fulfilling the order due to shortage of staff during festive season. Why waste a consumer's time like this? They could have (1) Disabled the delivery options on the website, (2) change the cutoff order time during festive season (3) figured out of the second place could actual deliver in the first place instead of committing and cancelling with customer. Their user interface is terrible that I had to spend two hours trying to order and then have my order cancelled one day before delivery. I would only warn customers to steer clear from this unorganized service.
My husband was away with our only car and our daughter was being picky so I looked up restaurant delivery services in the area and found this. Sooo glad I did. I had no trouble navigating through the website and right after I got the confirmation email for my order, I received a phone call to verify my info and my orders. Caller said to expect a 45-minute wait and asked if it was fine. Since it was going to end up being for dinner and it was only 1:30, I had no problem with the wait. Driver Tammy showed up at 1:50 with my food! She was so nice and friendly and I got my hot food and thanked them for opening up their service here : ) Now I know who to call if I want restaurant food but don't have a car or just don't feel like leaving the house. Thanks again!

Used them for the first time. Loved it!!! They do food delivery of restaurants NOT listed on GrubHub or Doordash. Food was easy to order online! Meals were correct when they showed up! Best part, we were on our boat in the middle of the lake when I ordered! Everyone was starving and this group brought our order to the dock and it was 4th of July!!! Made our day! Our holiday wasn't interrupted, but they worked the holiday and provided a great service! We couldn't have gone into town with our vehicle and boat trailer in tow and fit in any restaurant parking lot, so what a convenience to have it brought to us! I felt their delivery charges were reasonable! Remember people...ya have to pay for what you won't do for yourself! A+++ will use again!

He upcharges all of his food and makes money off of it and expects tips at his delivery s , but he cannot tip any of the restaurants togo staff that he goes to , every restaurant they deliver from knows him for being rude and never tipping .

We ordered a 20 inch pizza and wings from Moondog pizza in Morganton, NC. We live a couple streets down from the restaurant. The food took about an hour and a half to get here after we placed the order, and the food was cold when it arrived.
Wonderful delivery service, can pay in cash, credit card or debit. No OTHER delivery service will.

My family uses Delivery Chef and i am never disappointed with them! I just got a call and long story short they just wanted to be sure my order was correct because the place I ordered from told them something different, they always call and are super nice! I am terrible with names but it s always a guy who calls to make sure that the order is correct or things like that! I highly recommend them!
It's a great service to use when you don't wanna go out and get the food or you don't have away to get there to get it. The people that I've dealt with have been super friendly and very helpful. The only down side to this is the service price they charge alot to bring your food compared to other food delivery services. That's the reason for the 4 stars

Love the delivery chef! Very convenient when you don t feel like going out. Everyone is polite & professional. The drivers always check your orders to make sure everything is correct, including any extras you may have asked for. You don t receive that service with other delivery companies.
These guys are great! I use them regularly for food delivery, but today I needed a replacement computer accessory from Walmart. Rather than waiting a day or two for delivery, I decided to give Delivery Chef a call to see if they would be able to help and they did!!! I depend on my laptop working and cannot easily get out to stores...this was a life saver. Thank you.

The Delivery Chef is an excellent service. It was DoorDash, before DoorDash existed. The delivery fees are a little more than their competition(we're only talking maybe $1-$2 more), but they are fair, and in the plus side, you'll never order food and find out an hour and a half later that is not gonna show up, then wait 7-10 days for your money to be refunded. Also pertaining to their fees, they offer a wider selection of restaurants, from a much greater distance from you than you'll find with similar services, so it's definitely worth it. If you're needing food delivered, this is who I'd recommend checking out first.

This is the first time I have used this service. my experience with the actual service provider and their customer care personnel was great. I received a phone call to confirm my order, right after it was placed . I believe David was who i spoke with, and all made my payment and immediately received an
invoice showing paid in full.( I do love that they are hooked up to PayPal and it's really easy process to make payments that way)
Now the whole process that happened in a matter of three or four minutes. so,I'm extremely happy at this point waiting on my food. ( This is what lazy people do when they're hungry)
Unfortunately, I received another call from David telling me that the place that I ordered from unfortunately, closed early and now I'm going to starve !!!
No, but seriously,they had closed early so I'm not getting my food but this was not by any means the fault of the delivery service; they had great customer service and were very prompt &professional. he issued a refund almost as quickly as he did the initial invoicing; So, All thumbs up for my initial use!

This is a fantastic service! The drivers and other professionals associated with The Delivery Chef are incredibly. Food always arrives on time, hot, and the order is exact! (Can't even get that at the restaurant!) I wish they would include Friday's Friends and Pizza Hut, but their list of restaurants is pretty exhaustive. I'm pretty much home bound during the pandemic, so this service has been fantastic!

These guys are amazing! Stop wasting your time with GrubHub or doordash and deal with a small local company that has personality, integrity, and "delivers" every time. You deal with a real person on the other end of the phone line and they make exceptional efforts to make sure that your food is right and delivered promptly. If there's a problem, you can expect a phone call, instead of just wondering if your food will ever show up. Tonight, my food was projected to arrive between 8:54 and 9:15. Kris arrived shortly after 8:30 and the food was perfect!
The soonest someone can deliver to you is 11:00 am tomorrow... wow. Please change this or you will not be able to compete with grub hub and the like. I am all for local businesses, but I can t give you my money if you cannot give me basic customer service. Hopefully someone reads this and changes some things.
Absolutely the best burger I've had in a VERY long time. Matter of fact I rarely will eat one outside of home. Hannah's delivery app was easily navigated, as well the delivery time was spot on. I HIGHLY recommend checking them out if you haven't and I was a chef for 12 yrs.
The biggest problem with this service is the extreme over-charging. There is a delivery fee of around $15.00, which is understandable, he drives all over the place, but what isn't stated straight out is that the cost of the food itself is severely increased. A dish that costs $6.00 in the restaurant costs $10.00 through Delivery Chef. This seems to be a theme with restaurants I'm familiar with the price range of, and it's definitely a little under-handed. On top of that, they recommend a rather large tip when you check out.
I have ordered from them and the service is usually fast, but I have had problems with items being ordered wrong or cold. Mostly, though, I think the service itself is pretty good. If you have cash to burn and absolutely cannot/will not leave your house, it's a decent alternative to pizza. Just know that you will be paying somewhere in the neighborhood of double the normal price of your meal.

We found fuzzy green mold or mildew inside of our to go containers from wild wok. I called the very next morning to let the delivery Chef know what was going on. Never heard back from him so I called later that afternoon. He expected me to keep the petri dish of mold so I could bring it up there and prove to him there was a problem other than that there was nothing he could do for me. We have been using this service since they were grubbers delivery in Lenoir. I will be switching over to Uber eats at least they have a reputable company that will help you if you have any problems. Very disappointed that a birthday dinner was ruined and we had to end up ordering Domino s. Think twice before ordering from these people

Great Service and Delivery. Love the website too. Food is always delivered at the time specified if not sooner. I am pretty far out from the Hickory area and having the luxury of multiple restaurants to pick from, is the best. This beats pizza any day.
