Small airport but very busy all the time. Few unwanted security check points. And like few other airports in India the staffs thinks they are too powerful and passengers must tolerate their arrogance

Enough parking space, well kept. Price might seem high for coffee and snacks. Don't let the pain of journey of dear ones let you not notice the place around.
Clean and neat ,Compaq , well behaved staff , utmost precautions taken for covid ... No matter how close is the airport to your house or hotel , it's recommended to start early , especially on working days .. do to narrow roads .. imagine getting to airport by the only road that isn't even 3 meters wide !
Whoever is handling the cooling system at the airport is doing an excellent job. Experienced the quickest check in and security clearance facilities. Would look forward to visit again.
I've been traveling multiple times in a year through this airport. Most of the facilities are kinda okay. Emigration clearance section needs more counters. Have to wait hours for those arriving from other countries. And baggage handling is not the best. Needs more improvement.
The domestic Terminal is located over 6 km away from the International terminal, which is a great issue. The domestic terminal is plain with very few shops or cafes, no working wifi service available. The people managing the taxi services, and cafes are really rude. The wall facing the apron is not completely glass made and thus reduces vision. The International Terminal on the other hand is much better but still lacks shops, and wifi, also the design of it towards the apron is a really weird curved design which blocks vision. Also the security men are rude.
This is one of the old international airport on in India. This airport keeps it dignity as an old airport. Renovated very nicely, the facilities are very good, washrooms are very clean, friendly staffs , there are so many passengers they don't know how To use English are helped by this airport staffs.
It is the second busiest airport in Kerala after Kochi and the fourteenth busiest in India. In fiscal year 2018-19, the airport handled more than 4.4 million passengers with a total of 33,093 aircraft movements.Spread over an area of 700 acres (280 ha), the airport is approximately 3.7 km (2.3 mi) due west from the city centre,16 km (9.9 mi) from Kovalam beach, 13 km (8.1 mi) from Technopark and 21 km (13 mi) from the under construction Vizhinjam International Seaport.
Trivandrum International Airport operates two terminals. Terminal 1 handles domestic flight operations (except Air India) and Terminal 2 handles all international flight operations as well as all domestic flights by Air India.
In addition to civil operations, Trivandrum Airport caters to the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Coast Guard for their operations. IAF have an exclusive apron to handle all their operations. Trivandrum airport also caters to the Rajiv Gandhi Academy for Aviation Technology which carries out pilot training activities.
Trivandrum International Airport hosts Air India's Narrow body Maintenance, repair and overhaul unit MRO consisting of twin hangars for servicing Boeing 737 type aircraft, servicing mostly Air India Express aircraft.
Not at all crowded during afternoon arrivals. Small Airport but separate international and domestic terminals.Easy to collect luggage and also book cabs
No Duty Free Shop..!! For international Passengers.! It s closed long back. Travel once then will came to know. Bad behaviors Staffs. It s Not like what we are seeing from outside. Very bad experience for all facilities.
Available tea for 500INR Kochi Airport Cial is Good.
Very well maintained, clean and organized airport.
Three negative points to be pointed out are:
1. Delay in getting the checked baggage. At times it takes more than an hour for your baggage to appear on the delivery belt!
2. Departure lounge shops.. prices are unbelievable! Complete rip off!
3. The public announcements that starts with "may I have your....." is really irritating. Most of the airports in the world are minimizing the announcements to reduce sound pollution. In terms of public announcements, this airport is like Indian railway stations; announcements throughout the day and night .... no one pays any attention!!
International terminal is situated in chaka. The terminal is cool and calm area. Not much crowded or air trafficked. And one more thing donot compare it to the cochin airport, because that is one of the major airports in kerala and trivandrum airport is mainly used by peoples from tamilnadu and local citizens of trivandrum and some tourists as the airport is situated in the capital city of kerala and also the border district of kerala.

Established in 1932, it is the first airport in the state of Kerala. It is the fifth international airport of India officially declared by then Prime Minister of India, V. P.

Customer waiting area, special waiting area for Arrivals etc. Multiple Gates for entry and exit.. We can see the runway from the entrance bridge..
Trivandrum International Airport is an international airport which primarily serves the city of Thiruvananthapuram and its adjacent cities and towns. It is the first airport in the state of Kerala, India and the fifth international airport More
But need improvements on the following. 1. Parking fee must be charged only for those vehicle entering inside parking yard. Instead of stopping all the vehicles entering and exiting the International airport. 2. The way the staff and the security people behave to the passenger must be looked in seriously, Govt or authority must give a class on this, Ask them to see be charming and pleasing character. Instead of being harsh and bold. 3. All security counter must be working instead of 1 single counter, which make passengers wait long.
Good airport inside city, nice connectivity via public transport, for international travellers ,duty free is not operational, under construction as of September 2017
Small airport. Well connected from the city. Not so crowded. Infrastructure is okay. Cleanliness is an issue here. I found washrooms near gate no.1 at departure dirty. Taps were not working. Shops are very limited. Checking is slow. Overall an average airport for the city. Didn't find any big problem here and not anything interesting as well.
Poor queuing system at immigration, followed by 3 people to check the stamp. Very slow baggage delivery system. Good fixed fare taxi system. Superb location that is very central.
It s horrible because of below reasons, first of all the airport clock is 3min slower than actual time( refer the below picture), no one cares about that. I was traveling from Trivandrum to Chennai in Indian Airlines express, the actual scheduled time is 00:30 , they reached to 3:10 Am , I tried reaching to air port management to ask an alternate options because I had 2year baby traveling with me , the air port manager was fully drunk and he told me to stay outside until 1 am. Boarding did not start until 3:10 am and there is no announcement for delay....ect Overall it s horrible travel with family
Trivandrum International Airport, also called Trivandrum Airport (IATA: TRV; OACI: VOTV), is an international airport of Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of the Indian state Kerala. Located 7 km from Thiruvananthapuram city centre, 13 km from the beach of Kovalam, and around 20 km from the upcoming port Vizhinjam International Seaport. TRV Airport is the hub for Air India Express, but it also operates regularly with Air India, Jet Airways, SpiceJet and IndiGo. The city name in the local language Malayalam comes from thiru-anantha-puram, which means City of Lord Ananta .
The city of Thiruvananthapuram, more known as Trivandrum, was built around 1000 BC and it is still nowadays a symbol of the southern India. Mahatma Gandhi called it the Evergreen city of India . The region is touching the Arabian Sea. A good attraction to visit during your trip to Trivandrum is the Sri Padmanabhaswami temple. Built in the 16th century it is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and considered one of the 7 wonders of India. It is built following the Dravidian architecture style and it has a lot of craftmanship.
Ramanayar Palace Museum is close to Sri Padmanabhaswami temple and it has a wide art collection foccused on Oriental art from Kerala. At the museum you can admire the beauty of more than 1.000 paintings, sculptures and fine handcrafts that show the very soul of the culture of the region. The Kuthiramalika Palace is the most iconic example of the traditional architecture of Kerala. If you like the unusual architecture you should also visit the Indian Coffee House in Trivandrum designed by the British Laurie Baker, a pioneer of the sustainable architecture. The Indian Coffee House is a red brick cylindrical building with a spiral shape going up. It is located in the centre of the city and you can stop by to eat.
