Went V&A Mugg&Bean, very quiet sat outside. Strangely, two of the toasted sandwiches arrived....well....inconsistent. one was vigorously toasted over hot coals in a fireplace for twelve hours and the other, well, this was given the prepping of margarine but I assume the first took up the time slot for both sandwiches and was sadly like a school lunchbox sandwich.....hmmmmm

I ordered cheese cake and carrot cake through uber eats and I'm sorry but both were repulsive; the cheese cake base was severely undercooked and carrot cake cream cheese icing tasted like it was made out of 90% cheap rancid butter. Bastardised completely, I thought baked goods were your speciality?!

Located at the far end of the V&A on the ground floor with a limited view of the waters and boats. Staff is relatively friendly, but not as quick as can be expected at the location. Also not as busy as other restaurants catering for the tourist market. Prices are a bit more than other coffee shops but portions are a bit bigger as well. Variety of food and drinks which also unfortunately means a longer preparation time.

1/4 full restaurant on Thursday 8th at 09h45 & a low carb breakfast took 35mins to deliver.
Added sausage to a second breakfast THEN said he HAD to charge for it - TERRIBLE HOSPITALITY especially as the error is the restaurants.
I lacked the patience to say NO and just accepted.
Although upon our exit 4 servers were chatting away at the entrance .

We had a problem with our chocolate cake! We found a long piece of hair which was entangled inside the slice! We complained.
Now in normal circumstances, the manager would effortlessly come out of their office and come to the table to apologize. We just got offered another slice of cake after eating the original gigantic slice! We even paid FOR THEIR MISTAKE AND LACK OF EMPATHY towards our experience. An upside to our terrible experience was our waitron Brenda. She was a total rockstar ( we even tipped her) but shame to the manager on duty!

Awesome service and nice views of the harbour. A bit noisy if you want serene. Fresh food served with a smile. They also serve breakfast all day. Access through the V&A mall and you get parking at the mall.

You can eat Gohan in the morning.

You can eat Gohan in the morning.
Personally, I recommend French toast with bacon, red cappuccino, cupcakes (muffins) and others, sandwiches.
It is close to five, but the taste is a little big, so it's like 4, 5 and so on.
In South Africa, it is a chain store that has a sense of stability wherever it enters.

We usually get a drink and something to eat here when we have to wait for our teenage kids to shop at the Waterfront Mall. This time was our last time, time to explore the number of others on offer. The place was full so we knew we would have to wait for service but I daw the line at 20 mins so we called a waiter over to order. !0 minutes later he came back to inform us that there was no bread besides rye at all for the toasted sandwich which we had ordered. He went on to say that they had run out and rye is all he could offer us. We reluctantly agreed to get the rye and waited another 30 mins for the sandwich to be delivered. By this time our drinks had still not yet arrived. We had also ordered a salad which was delivered with the toasted sandwich but on inspection it did not have all the ingredients in it that was listed on the menu for that particular dish. After reminding them about our drinks and receiving them half way through our meal, about an hour after we first arrived, we noticed that toasted sandwiches were being delivered to the table next to us, that had arrived after and ordered after us and wow they were not forced to have rye. When we asked the waiter about it he did not know what to say. Needless to say we left as soon as we were done and on the way out I spoke to the manager and told her about our experience and she said she would contact me to hear more as they were very busy but of course I have to date not heard form her. Goodbye Mugg and Bean Waterfront!!

I went to mugg and bean at the waterfront on my birthday for some cheesecake, thinking that this place would be great, especially because it was at the waterfront. However, I was very disappointed when the caramel cheesecake I had ordered had raw pieces of pastry inside. When I was about to get another slice, I looked at the strawberry cheesecake, which also had the same result. I ended up taking the plain cheesecake because I could not see any rawness. When I got home and had the cheesecake, I discovered that the entire back of the base had to be scrapped off because of all the raw pastry. I have never experienced this at any other mugg and bean and I'm a cheesecake addict, especially for mugg and bean's cheesecake, so it was very disappointing having to experience that, especially on my birthday

Once crowded and inconvenience, who is "noise" I tried their latte and cappuccino mash all milk .. Only their prices are suitable for sandwiches and sweets and snacks .. And since it is with Waterfront, the alternative is available in abundance and is better.

R37 for a plain, very average croissant??? A croissant costs around R3 to make. And I don't mind paying for the service and towards the running costs. But paying a 1200% mark-up is a bit cheeky, don't you think?

Not only for a quick cuppa.

Not only for a quick cuppa.
A very bustling coffee-shop, well deserving its popularity. Always a winner whether for its excellent bottomless coffee, late breakfasts, mouth-watering snacks, even its steaks or spare ribs. Service always pleasant and attentive.

I always love going to M&B, the food is good and you can people watch and chat with your friends without the constant harassment of waiters asking if your still OK. I'm giving them 4 stars, because I don't approve of bringing 1 persons food before the others at the table which happened on my last visit. I would definitely go again and would recommend it to anyone who's looking for a chill vibe and good food.
