Mugg & Bean V&A Review

Their service was great and their food came quite fast. It was a pleasant surprise.

Friendly staff, great service and Covid-19 protocols observed... My family enjoyed it...

Nice place to grab food, with a very nice view and atmosphere

Terrible service. Worst I've ever had. Store wasn't too busy. Myself and a friend came in and ordered a drink each, when the drinks arrived we were asked we'd be eating. We said we would but needed a moment to choose. Never saw a waiter again for over the next hour until we got up and actually asked for the bill. Our empty glasses sat on the table for a good half hour. Was absolutely shocked, never experienced service like this in any Mugg & Bean, ever. Actually put me off from going back to this particular establishment.

Manager throw the cake at table and cakes are stale

Beautiful view from this restaurant. Food and service was average but the view more than made up for it.

Terrible, terrible service. Our waitron - Amon - was incredibly rude from the minute we arrived. We ended up only having drinks (we came for food), to avoid having to endure his attitude any longer.
My wife asked if it would be possible to order poached eggs, to which he angrily pointed at the menu and responded "We serve what's on the menu."
She also asked if she could please have a glass of water with her cappuccino. He responded with "Still or sparkling?". My wife said "Just a glass of normal tap water is fine thanks", to which he aggressively repeated himself, "Still or sparkling."
Perhaps he was just having a bad day, but clearly not cut out for customer service.
First time we'd been to Mugg n Bean in a while, and sadly won't be returning based on the experience.

I have had good experiences here before but I have also had some negative ones. Today was definitely one of the latter. My scone had barely enough jam for half and my first coffee refill took at least 10 min to arrive. I was a little annoyed and went on to order a third that never even came. By the time I found my waiter I needed to leave and just went without it.

Guy who was helping us was very nice, but messed up my entire order, asked for sticky sweet wings and BBQ ribs with sweet potato, got very tough ribs and potato chips. So bummed because mugg and bean is usually spot on.

Flapjack stack is amazing
and love the bottomless ranges

beware if full please done expect fast service, but on the other hand great manager always giving clients cape town spirit

Scones are fresh and delicious just a pity you have to pay extra for a ridiculously small portion of cheese.
