horrible person

I could not recommend Matthew less as a parenting consultant. He was horrible to work with, and our child suffered because of his gross negligence. Matthew made it very clear from the moment we signed the contract that he had no interest in meeting anyone involved. He never spoke to our child or knew anything about her. We had glaring issues involving unnecessary and harmful medications being given to our child, and Matthew refused to talk to any of the medical providers or the school to get the full picture. Coparent sent him notes full of lies, and he believed them without verifying anything even though we begged him to follow up/ investigate. We were able to get everything reversed without him because the providers were being lied to as well (we had documentation), but not after our child lost 40% of her body weight in a very short amount of time and suffered physically and emotionally. And we still had to pay Matthew thousands of dollars for refusing to do anything. We were ordered to pay 90% of his fees (hundreds of dollars per email) so of course the other parent (who only pays 10%) sent many unnecessary emails just to play games and rack up our bill. Matthew is only in it for the money and seemed to enjoy this. Our sole purpose for hiring a PC was to evaluate parenting time and make it more equal. Our child was in a dangerous situation with her other parent, and we have a safe and loving home and desperately wanted more time with her. Matthew said repeatedly he had no interest or intention of doing that, and could not give any reason. We asked Matthew reallocate his fees to 50/50 to make things equal and stop the unnecessary spending games, which he also denied. When we asked to terminate the contract to find someone else who would be more reasonable, Matthew refused. Again, he loves the payday. Matthew does not have your child’s best interest in mind.

Horrible

I strongly do not recommend Peggy Cottrell. She focuses on telling you what to do versus truly listening, understanding and helping a person. This can be even more traumatizing to anyone especially if you come from a background of being invalidated. I feel Peggy lacks true empathy which is the most important trait to have for a therapist. I usually don't write reviews, but if a parent sees this and I can help one child from going here, then it's worth it. Please look at all the other reviews about Moxie and Peggy. They're not good for a reason.

Peggy Cottrell was unprofessional and narcissistic.

She was hired to interview my children.

Peggy Cottrell is a fraud and not to be trusted.
Peggy Cottrell reported false statements to the courts.

Peggy Cottrell seems to be aligned with attorneys, Parenting Consultants and preys on the victims~ gaslighting!

Don't be forced to use her in your divorce and or any conflict resolution process. Ask for a referral instead.

Peggy feeds on the conflict and offers more divide than resolution.

Wicked Witch at Moxie

Peggy Cottrell is a very unkind individual. She was so incredibly rude to me, and traumatized me to no end. All she did was look for problems that did not exist; she would never address the issues I presented. She wanted to systematically dismantle my life in all respects. I had mentioned grieving the passing of my dad. She had the nerve to tell me that I have an edge, simply because I was skeptical about letting police officers into my home, when they came to my to tell me Dad passed away. She told me HER children would let them in, and insisted that they are good because they are cops. Being a police officer does not make you a good person. After these last few months, only the biggest moron on the planet would believe that, and I think she should learn when to shut up. Never trust her; she is a nasty, wicked witch.

I am a family law attorney who has had several clients utilized various services through Moxie Inc. We have worked with Peggy Cottrell, Matthew Shore, and Michael Goldfarb. They have all been professional and dedicated to working with parties in the best interests of their children. They do put children first so some parents may have difficulties with them if their own issues makes it difficult to put their children's needs first. I highly recommend their services.

Moxie came highly recommended to me. We were assigned Matthew Shore by the court. After charging us $4000 to help us, he quit. The only thing that was figured out after 6 months was who woudl pick up the kids' prescriptions. He did not address mental health despite multiple requests and a court order specifically ordering him to. Absolutely unprofessional behavior.
