Spending time with MovingON was an excellent investment and a really great experience for me. I've been in other language courses before but none of them was comparable with this four weeks living with the teachers and other students in Bangor.

This immersive course is really 100% immersive and we only speak English, even when we were all together different students from the same country.

On the other hand, all the teachers were very kind and helpful and they adapted the classes to our demands, like in individual lessons, and they gave us all the materials we could need.
It was a very recommendable experience and I hope to repeat in the coming months to continue improving my English.

MovingOn Courses is the best option if you need to improve your English. You'll speak English all the time and you'll notice that your vocabulary, fluency and confidence improve every day. Also, Sonia, Gavin and all the teachers are great. This is a different academy and it has been an incredible experience. I recommend it without any doubt.

Hi, I spent four weeks in Bangor in moving on courses . It was a great time for me. I had an opportunity to speak English 24/7. No one is speaking another language than English so finally you have no choice. It s a total immersion with 100% speaking English. Apart from having normal lessons you spend all your day with other students, teachers and school s owners (Sonia and Gavin; Sonia is also an excellent teacher). People are together during lunchtime, dinnertime, afternoon and evening. You have no time to be bored. All the time someone asks you a questions and you are forced to answer them even if you have no idea what they are asking about :-). Apart from English, our lunches and suppers were very tasty. It was a big choice of food and you can always eat whatever you wanted. If you are going to stay longer for sure you ll put on weight :-). The atmosphere is very friendly and you are treated like a part of the big family. It s a great place to learn language as well as have a good time.

Wonderful experience!!! At first speaking only English all day every day was not easy but it is the best learning method, in fact in just 8 weeks my level of English has improved really a lot. Gavin, Sonia and the other teachrs are very lovely people, they did everything to meet my needs! In the end of the course i didn't want to return home... I did't feel like just a student but olso a member of the family! I woul'd like to go there again as soon as possible!

First of all I wanted to say a big thank you to all of you.

Before I decided to attend this immersion course I had expected really intensive English lessons but still, it really exceeded my expectations. It was truly an immersion course, about 12 hours of English a day. Morning lessons were in small groups, in my case it was 2 students a group. All lessons were focused on parts that we wanted to improve. Afternoon activities were a bit less formal English classes, such as study trips or some entertainment activities, for example bingo, however always focused on English. We always had great discussions during lunch and dinner, and again these discussions were very friendly and relaxed English lessons. Accommodation was great, a very comfortable room with private bathroom. Bangor is a picturesque town on Irish coast near Belfast. It was really easy to get there, 20 minutes from airport.

I highly recommend this immersion course to everyone who wants to improve their English communication skills quickly. I m writing this review from a 2 weeks perspective after the course, and I see that this course really helped me. I speak much better English and I feel more confident in conversations , especially at work.

Amazing experience! It is an authentic immersion course in a family atmosphere and with excellent teachers! It's a different course. You are all day speaking English even in your free time!

I'm very happy with this immersion course 100% in English and of course with the atmosphere that I felt during these weeks.
In this course your classmates can be Spanish, Italian or other nationalities, but despite this, you won't speak in your mother lenguage at any time, so that you're all day with teachers, also in excursions, meals and classes.
This is my second year and my level has improved a lot, grammar, speaking and vocabulary. One interesting thing is that if while you're speaking you confuse a verbal tense or you don't know something they correct you in English and they write it on a blackboard or in a notebook, then they ask you to see if you know the thing that you were wrong and if not they helps you to understand it. For this reason it is recommended to take a notebook to write down what you fail and before you go to sleep review where you failed to study new vocabulary.
You can come for a week or whatever you want, last year I had a colleague who was there about 6 weeks I think.
I recommend you this course.

I was in the Academy MovingOn for 2 weeks (february 2020). This is in Bangor a little, lovely and friendly town near to Belfast in Norther Ireland. The immersion in the English language is total so I could improve my level and gain confidence. Gavin and Sonia are the hosts and they are lovely, friendly, funny and smart guys. They have a lot of experience teaching English for foreign students, so they have different ways for teach you English. You are all day interacting with the professors, so you are learning English in each situation even if you don't realize. We took the breakfast, lunch and dinner together, so we were learning all day plus the formal classes and the study trip made it tiring but very productive!!!
In the academy I met other students and professors like Cris and Brian. Both are very good teachers. Brian is also a very kind person, very educated and with whom you can have interesting conversations on many topics.
I think that is a excellent place for to learn English and I have recommended to my friends.

I spent 4 weeks in MovingOn courses.. First of all, be prepared for more than you expect from a full immersion English course.
Sharing the same house with the teachers increases the speed of learning English but... sitting with them on the same table, travelling and even preparing snacks together is incredible.
The classes were according to the levels of the students, they were very careful in terms of the topics and the effective use of time.
Also after dinners the motivation speeches and encouraging suggestions from Gavin gave us endless energy for the homework :)))
The idea of sharing the same house in the beginning has caused me some stress but Gavin and Sonia have a highly friendly attitude and their helpfulness felt me at home from the very first moment.
The general hygiene conditions of the house and the quality of the meals
was great.

I spent three weeks in Bangor and it was a very good experience, although there were more Spaniards in the house nobody spoke in Spanish. It was a pleasant surprise.
The teachers are very nice and committed to teaching.
Sonia is a great hostess and she makes the study trips very interesting always.

The MovingOn Courses is not a simple English course but an amazing life experience.
I attended the course for 8 weeks from August to October 2020.
The course includes lessons in the morning with three different teachers (Olga, Chris and Brian) always ready to help you.
After about an hour, the lunch follows where a topic of your choice is brought up to discuss.
In the afternoon they do the many homework and twice a week they make wonderful study trips, after which they go to a pub where they review the words learned. This is very important.
In the evening we are all together and we always talk about random topics.
Usually, one day a week there is a movie night, very important for listening and another day there is the preparation of a presentation. This presentation will be discussed in public (all the other students, teachers, guests), very important to improve one's confidence and understand the mistakes.
The teachers all have different accents and this is good as it improves listening very quickly.
The teachers are also coordinated with each other to allow you to improve quickly on multiple fronts.
MovingOn is different in that you study and live in the same location.
Sonia and Gavin are two perfect owners.
Sonia is a perfect cook and is always ready to cook foods that are produced to please you.
Gavin is a perfect Liverpool fan , always ready to joke and keep you entertained.
The teachers: Olga is a very kind person, always ready to motivate you and give you new tasks, goals and homeworks :)
Brian and Chris are very nice, and extremely helpful. I'll never forget the night at Chris's house drinking whiskey! Because thanks to the teachers this was also possible. Never before drinking whiskey at their teachers home and only a week after my arrival.
It is possible to lower the cost of the course, for long periods of time, through the study and work formula.
Gavin will always find you work to do and will expect the best from you in this field too!
Well ... with MovingOn Courses, during the week, there isn t freetime but only to improve your English.
I certainly recommend it to all those who want to embark on a wonderful life experience.

After 10 weeks I only have good words! I can affirm that it is 100% immersion course in English where, in addition to having been very satisfied with what I have learned, I have felt at home. I was looking for an intensive English course, and really, I found more than this in Moving On Courses. The teachers challenge you and help you to have a very nice experience with a total immersion in English. In the house, you feel as at home. The town is a very nice coast place, full of chances to expend you little free time. And the most important, the teachers encourage you all time to improve your English in an amazing atmosphere.

All very well. The very professional academy, appropriate classes at different levels. The treatment in the house very nice, the fantastic cook. The fantastic site is a small coastal town with a small sports pier. I recommend it.

Hi guys! I spent two months in this Academy, two amazing months during which I met lots nice people from Poland, Spain and Mexico. A typical week at MovingOnCourse is composed of lessons in the morning with different teachers usually three, then lunch together with students and teachers, it's like a lesson, they correct you and help you to improve your English skills during common life situations. Two afternoons per week, there are study trips in the afternoon and you can visit very nice places, BUT remember they aren't tourist trips but lessons, so the teachers explain lots of things to you, you can learn more words in a short time, I think that this type of lesson is very useful. The most interesting and important thing about MovingOn Courses is that the course is 100% English, I can confirm and gaurantee that this rule is very important. Gavin is avalaible for every problem and he does everything to give you the best accomodation and service.
Sonia cooks for everybody, she is a good cook, the food is always different (fish, meat,cheese,vegetables ) and always tasty! She does everything to help the students, for example if you can't eat meat she can cook another thing for you... Karen is a teacher who lives in the house, she is young, very qualified, with international experience and she helps you always (also at 11:00 p.m.). The athmosphere in the house is like a big family, Bangor is a lovely town and Belfast is only 30 minutes by train.After this experience, I recommend this course, if you can. you should attend for at least one month because when you break the ice you can get to know lovely people. Definitely the best english course I ve ever attended. It s completely different from other courses I ve attended in other countries. IT S A REAL IMMERSION COURSE. 100% IN ENGLISH! The atmosphere is fantastic. The staff is great! Always ready to help you with vocabulary.

I have spent two weeks at the academy in Bangor and it has been a very enriching experience. There is a very pleasant atmosphere that stimulates learning. I have felt very welcome, both for Sonia and Gavin, as for the other teachers and my English level has improved a lot. The only language allowed is English, so the immersion is total. Bangor is also a quiet, safe and very beautiful town, half an hour from Belfast by train. My intention is to repeat next spring. I definitely recommend it.

Here I am! I spent 7 weeks in MovingOn Course, in this amazing family! At the beginning, I was worried about my English and the possibility to improve it, but now after these weeks I can say that my listening and my speaking have really improved! I have to say "Thanks you" to Sonia, Gavin, Karen, Brian and Amy because they encouraged me and they taught me a lot. I can say that is really a total immersion course with 100% English guaranteed! If you really want to improve your English, you will have to go to Bangor, to MovingOn course!

The owners Sonia and Gavin are really nice and professional, Sonia is an amazing chef.
The class is every day for 4 hours, in the afternoon there are useful study trips.
At Lunch and Dinner you speak a lot with the teachers and other students.

I would recommend MovingOn courses to anyone who d like to achieve fast results.
I am a professional, language is important to me for business. My language was poor. I could afford only a few weeks to study. So, speed of learning English was most important for me. I did not want to spend 2 hours on commuting between an accommodation and an English school every day. I did want to take care of meals. I was looking for complete immersion 24 * 7 with full services, meals, an accommodation, classes in the same place.

Therefore, I was given 3 weeks of one-to-one classes, with three different teachers every day. I was in the center of their attention, so I could not relax.

After 3 weeks of one-to-one classes I was able to join the group. After 4 weeks of my stay, I was able to read and understand newspaper articles, looking into the dictionary only few times. I can communicate with peoples in restaurants and shops, although still making a lot of mistakes . I understand almost everything that teachers and students say. And, I have a lot of space for improvement.
Big thanks to Sonya and Gavin and for their support; I feel at home with them.

Hi Guys, I strongly recommend MovingonCourses in Bangor, Northern Ireland. Their Intensive English course was very useful for me. I lived in a home with teachers and that encouraged me to speak English as much as possible. Meals and afternoon activities are with teachers, so you will speak only in English. This is more than a Super Intensive English Course, it is a Full English Immersion in a family-environment. I stayed there for 2 months and a half and my English has improved a lot.

Before deciding which English course to choose, I had read the comments posted by previous students who visited MovingonCourses Academy. Furthermore, I have personal feedback from a friend who also visited the academy last year and, after staying one week there I could check that all of them were truth! The course is really 100% in English; you do not speak a single word in your native language except when phoning home. The atmosphere between students and between students and staff was always friendly; indeed, I had the opportunity to meet great people with which I had fun and also received their support during a couple of days in which my health was not 100% fine. I found out perfectly balanced the time allocated to classes and evening activities, thus having time both for improving grammar and syntax, as well as conversation and listening. Besides the classes, the teachers accompanied us to visit relevant places both in Bangor and Belfast, as well to a movie, bingo, pubs and a concert of Red Hot Chilli PIPERS!!. So you were at all time with your brain working in English. I would like to thank Gavin, Sonia, Chris and Karen for their effort to make the week I stayed at the Academy really worthwhile.

I spent 4 weeks in high school, it really gave me more confidence and fluency in the language, I was the only Latin American Argentina in the group, the others were Spanish and the use of the English language was respected, even after school hours and when we went to the cinema for the nights, beautiful b & b, beautiful Bangor and excellent teachers, super recommendable latinos!

You can choose between filling in next exercises in your textbook to the end of your life or you can go to Bangor and try to your English ;-). Is this course for you?
- If you can t study English in English or if you are not up to switching your mind to deferent language and culture, no, it s not for you.
- If you want classes in your native language and in your native country, no, this course is not for you.
- If your main reason of studying this language is passing exams, I think, still it s not for you.
But if you wish spur on yourself to gain more in short time and you are ready for full immersion in English language and British culture, yes, it s for you.
I ve spent in Bangor one week and I appreciate effects. Of course, it s not that it boosted my level to next stage. But it gave me more accuracy and confidence in speaking. It opened my eyes for key ingredients of natural language (not thousands of details or archaic expressions). In my opinion, the main benefit of such course is improvement of communication skills: mostly speaking and listening.

A real full immersion in the English language, with the advantage of a family/friendly atmosphere and a not traditional/boring teaching method. You will practice English, learn new vocabulary and get language suggestions and correction while having meals together, while helping in the kitchen and while having nice trips in Bangor surroundings. It's really worth it!

A perfect mix between professional classes, living with teachers, northern irish culture and friendly atmosphere in an exceptional location.

If I had to choose what is the best part of moving on courses in my experience, it would be for sure, the huge effort that each person involved in this company do to make you feel as comfortable as possible and feel at home while you are learning english.

After two months of total immersion in MovingOn Courses, I can say that my English has improved.
In my childhood, I attended English lessons in my school and through years I have attended English lessons in my city and I have spent some summers in England.
I decided to brush up my English in a short time, so I thought of doing an intensive course and what MovingOn Courses (Northern Ireland, Bangor), offered I found it very interesting.
Prior to arriving here, understanding movies in English was so difficult for me, now I think I can understand between 75%-90%, depending on the accent
The days are so intensive, from 8:30 am in the morning until night you are in direct contact with English, every day you are immersed in the language, even when you are in bed, you are thinking of how I can say this sentence ., remembering vocabulary
Afterwards, attending the classes daily, you can put in practice everything you learnt with the teachers, students and local people.
Although, you share the same language with some students, we always speak in English to each other, at home, having a coffee, a beer, going for a walk .For me, this is the key to improve. During my stay, I have just spoken in my native language with my family on the phone.
During the week, there are the study trips, they are effective and useful, you learn a lot at the same time you are visiting a new place. The landscape around Bangor is beautiful.
The life here is like a family. It have been very comfortable and I thank Sonia, Gavin and Karen for their hospitality and all of the team of teachers for their kindness and professionalism. Sonia is an excellent chef, she cooks delicious food!!!
