We had recently moved into our new home and were looking for a garden design that still gave us enough lawn space in our small back garden. We wanted a lush low maintenance garden that gave us privacy from our neighbours. Eva helped us by recommending plants and designing planting around the fence line. We love all of the flowering plants! Our cat loves our garden too!
Eva designed a cottage garden for me in keeping with my heritage cottage with a lovely range of plant, lighting and seating suggestions, with some very clever fixes for a few difficult areas. Very happy with it!

Eva gave a talk at Stafford Garden Club in August 2018. It was about the 5 things that you need to know for good garden design. Eva was generous with her knowledge and experience she used easy-to-follow diagrams to show how to analyse what is needed, what s wanted by the client and how to achieve a brilliant result with a mix of suitable plantings and useful hard surfaces.
It was refreshing to have a talk that was so problem-solving: occasionally we pottering gardeners need to be alerted to factors such as eye-lines, shade issues, micro-climates, where heavy traffic is likely to require hard surfaces and (let s be honest) realistic placement of appropriate plants. Eva tackled these and other issues with intelligence and good humour. The Stafford Garden Club has a different speaker every month and Eva s illustrated and lively talk gathered many compliments from our members.
We have had the pleasure of constructing one of Porter Designs projects, and currently in the process of quoting some of her other customers projects. We have found their designs to not only be practical and well documented, but creatively individual for each site. We had Eva from Porter Designs come and design our garden around our beautiful home in Mt Mee. I was looking for a romantic garden theme and a design that as pretty with pretty meadow like plants. Eva designed a stunning garden with beautiful framed views throughout. After the design Eva helped us choose a landscaper to construct the garden, they were fantastic and we were very well looked after."
We had an existing pool area that needed a bit of a renovation and a design that encouraged us to use our outdoor space. Eva helped us by designing an outdoor living space and introducing gardens around the pool to make it look lush. We are really excited to see the built project!
Eva was commissioned to design gardens for our body corporate. Whilst managing body corporates can be a tricky, drawn out process, I thought there was opportunity for Eva to improve her consultation skills. For example, once designs were drafted there was not a review process to ensure all stakeholders were happy. Any slight modifications or requests were charged at an hourly rate. This 3 star review is based on the significant expense paid in comparison to the value received. However the gardens do look nice and I wish Eva all the best for her future projects

We had requested a site visit post-landscaping, however Eva's preference was to take photos and would only provide follow up advice based on a charge out rate
