I'm staying at the Patrica hotel and got off work and decided to try a burger on the go up to my room. Waited an hour with a rude waitress. Charged me for the cranberry and of course I gave a tip. As I waited that hour not once did she offer me a refill or said sorry for the wait. I cancelled my order and got a refund and went across the street to an awesome Vietnamese restaurant. Try it friendly nice service and no charge for a drink while I wait. I never complained about across the street. Just nice service.

Music is the major attraction here, mostly jazz groups for the older rockers, on weekend afternoons..the snack menu can be overlooked...at your peril.,...of missing something pretty good.
Night time brings in a younger crowd to hear a wilder brand of music.

Great place to see bands. Sound people and staff are great. A vast variety of entertainment. I've always had a lot of fun at Pat's Pub!!!!!

Pub with good beers and chopps, reasonable food and poor service. It's worth it only if you're in the hotel above the pub because the area is Vancouver's cracoland, with hundreds of junkies camped out on the streets.

Haven't tried lot's, but their own beers are sub average at the moment.
It is a frightening place I wouldn't recommend going alone (mainly due to their location) food looked ok but I didn't dare it as the place looks run down.
Music selection was right on though and this could be their best attribute so far.

Was staying in the Patricia hotel for a couple of days which shares the same building as Pat's Pub. My friends and i decided to grab a quick beer before going to see a show that night. The waiter did not seem to be very happy that evening, and got into a useless argument with us, seemingly wanted to pick a fight....To boot, the beer was flat, but seeing as the waiter was a canterous prick, we decided to leave the pitcher rather than get into another argument...There are many bar that im sure have much nicer staff in Van. Skip this place.

Superb jazz, nice selection of beer (including some of their own), decent pub-grub. Location might be off-putting to some people.

Amazing food, kind staff, great music. Try their Fish and Chips! Best I've had on this side of the pond.

If you like crackheads stay here. They use spaghetti sticks to stir coffee. The elevator is very dangerous. It's a overpriced crackhouse

On my last in Vancouver I eat about half of the stuff on Pat's menu. All was good at a very good price. The asian cook and bar keepers were good but the waitress was not. This place is in a bad part of town but just looking out the window is excellent entertainment at times. Inside the Pub there is often live music and the Decor is very nice.

One of my favourite places to eat in vancouver. The staff is always so friendly and there is pool and arcade games. They have a brewery and make really good burgers and sandwiches. Inexpensive and cozy. They have live music usually on fridays and can be a nice place for a couple of beers. I suggest the pulled chicken club.

Fun jazz and blues bar in a historic building. Love the live band and good service. Good spot to grab a beer and listen to some live music.

I enjoyed the music, but i mostly go for the food if I'm feeling to lazy to cook..

Was low on the beer selection as they get out of COVID. Good selection of pub fare food.

Had an awesome night the service was great and the food was amazing the mini donuts were to die for and the beer selection was great too I recommend the blackberry porter amazing

Cheap pub food that is tasty. Adequate service. Good beer, extra points for serving glasses not just pints. I like little beers.

Good beer, good food, good music. Don't leave anything valuable in your car......

It beats fast food (not by much) and as long as you touch base with the cool/a they'll get your order correct. On noisy band nights we get our food to take out.

I eat here everytime I stay at the Patricia. I have tried the chicken strips (amazing) the fish and chips (amazing)the rueben(You MUST try it) and the burger. I have not yet been disappointed. The staff is great and super fast. Highly recommend

Good stage, great jazz band! Ron Johnston trio with Don Stewart, what a treat Decent beer on tap, and reasonably priced as well. Didn't try the food myself, but those who did seemed to have enjoyed it.

The barman ripped me off.
Short changed me and then got aggressive about it.

The homemade fries are the best plus they actually have a veggie burger! They are big on beer and burgers and smoked brisket and pulled pork sandwiches but is nice to see some healthy options in their appetizer menu too.Yes you have to go on a Saturday evening, when the top musicians play, seriously if you are going make it a saturday.

Food is great but the actual pub is way older than the photo here shows music was way too loud couldn't talk and had to pay for drink while waiting s very long time for food. Not crazy about the prices for food and drink high stools four feet in the air gotta go along with teetering tables it sucked

Nothing is perfect, though this place is as close to perfect as a pub could be.

Great staff. Reasonably priced food. Excellent live music venue. Pleasantly surprising beer selection. Bit of a dive.

This place is sooo dope i cant stress it enough. If your into breweries, bars, pubs, this has everything. Local brewed beer, house brewed beer, good food, pool, classic arcade games and awesome jams!

Jazzy little place but the waitress sucks! Sat for 20 minutes before getting up to get my drinks. Said we wanted food but the waitress just looks around instead of doing her job. We'll go eat somewhere else.

Unassuming spot, but don't let it fool you - it's an awesome spot. Go with Pat's Classic Burger. You can't go wrong.

Jazz at the Hotel Patricia, every Saturday Afternoon 3-7, featuring Vancouver's best jazz musicians. The food is very good and cheap. The French fries in particular are excellent.
I try to drop by most Saturdays to see and hear Vancouver's finest drummers, accompanied of course by Vancouver's finest...
No cover charge. Civilized.

Surprisingly comfortable place to have a good conversation and craft beer.

Pat's Pub oozes the purest essence of what is Pat. From the scuffed hardwood floors encompassing an aged carpet with an embrace only resembeld by a endearing hug by great aunt Ethel. 10 /10 will do again.

One of my favourite places to eat in the city. Super cheap for the quality. Mostly pub food but using great ingredients. The pulled chicken club is amazing. Usually no extra charges for little things like mayo on the side. There is a pool table and arcade games. Usually shows on Friday nights. The establishment is also a brewery and sells off sales and fills growlers. Large inside and the staff are always extremely friendly.

Food is good; Pub is older than it looks in the main photo. Be prepared to wait for your food. Price is high given the quality of food and service. The staff needs to enroll in basic etiquette course which teaches how to behave with customers.

However, once you open the doors, it is quite spacious and clean. Very cool decor on the inside; street lights, brick walls, refinished wood support beams, new chairs, etc.

the food is decent, nothing gourmet. Can go healthy with a salmon salad or greasy with a pulled pork sandwich.

The beer is very reasonable priced. FULL PINTS!

use the parking lot beside the pub, they will reimburse you with purchase of food/drink. Very comfortable and relaxed environment.

The customers and the live music is the reason I keep coming back. Foods ok, drinks are average price s. The have Keno and poker screens witha machine, pull tabs, pin ball and pool table. Fun if it in the DTES.

Good beer list and I really enjoyed the Wednesday blues gig. When I was there (October 2020... pandemic times) there were a few things on the beer list they were out of, but even so the service was great and I had a lovely evening.

Really nice bartender day shift. Very quiet daytime. Nice atmosphere.

It's a pub. Food tastes like it was taken out of the freezer and warmed up to an acceptable edible state. I went on a Wednesday night where I knew they would have live music. The band played Blues so if you're a fan of Blues music you'll be in for a treat; there's also space in front of the band to dance which some people were doing!

Very happy with our meals and beers here. Good value, great atmosphere, excellent window watching.
Servers are onto it; either catering to each of your needs or leaving you in peace if you desire some solitude.

The pulled pork Sandwich is one of the best i ever had.

been going here off and on for many years, and it's only gotten better. I don't miss the smoking room that's for sure! the staff are nice, the food is good, the beer is good, and it's a great venue for live shows! the location could be a bit better, but hey.

Great Two weeks here. Great food and drink staff were very friendly and it was affordable.

To this day the Pub s original wood floor exists as a reminder of its history. It was founded 100 years ago and there have been several jazz legends playing in that stage since then, Ferdinand Jelly Roll Morton actually played there on a regular basis. So the Pats pub has always been filled with jazz, it is not something new.
Their good music comes with a friendly service, cold beer and hot tasty food so what else could we ask for.

Comfortable atmosphere and the food is good. Really enjoyed the jazz bands playing when we happened upon the bar for the first time. And the local brew is a tasty drop or two!

Don't let the tough neighborhood scare you off, this is a well run establishment and good rock/blues shows are often held there...

Very friendly Staff person named Brett. Food was AWESOME. Had the burger and my friend had the salmon burger and they were AWESOME. My friend wanted to take his salmon burger home and marry it because he thought it was that good. Great portions for the money. Great Atmosphere.

I come here often. They have incredible organic beer selection and helpful, knowledgable servers who are passionate about beer. It is perfect for beer lovers. Environmentally friendly, very nice live musics. I see why people like this place so much. A well deserved 5-star rating.
