Nothing good to say about them. Lied to during sales pitch about maintenance of open spaces and very shoddy workmanship around the house. Wouldn't do business with again.
Very poor customer service, no one gets back to you, work not completed on time, very poor standard of finish across the estate. Two years in and walls are falling down all over the estate. Barratts have also failed to maintain the estate as per the covenants in my deeds.
Once they have your money they do not care about you.
These people are no better (but much richer) than common criminals. We thought we were retiring into a small flat with enough money to spend the rest of our days travelling around the world in perfect peace. Wrong, so very wrong: moving into a Barratt property was the worst move I have ever made: this is a leasehold property mis-managed by RMG (Residential Management Group) who pay Barratt a handsome percentage for all the money RMG can steal and extort from us. Don't touch Barrett, unless you want to be very badly stung.
Just Google 'Leasehold Knowledge Partnership' and find out what the scandal is really all about. Leasehold properties (houses or flats) only exist in England and Wales. This is a national outrage.
So far I have received poor customer service from Barratt Homes and no replies to my messages. I am willing to be proven wrong...
