Merrick was an incredible raft guide, safe but filled with great adventures and stories - Mother Lode is the best

I went rafting there today and I never been rafting before (only kayaking). Absolutely amazing experience. People were friendly, all friendly stuff around. Special thanks to out guide Melissa for making a good experience. I was initially a bit worried about waves and rafting, but very soon it just became worry-free fun exprience.
Highly recommended! Oh, and a value with a Groupon is very good, they even serve simple, but good lunch (quite healthy, as well).

1st time rafting. Brandon our Guide was great. Funny, respectful & knowledgeable, it was a great time for my fiancee's birthday! Will return again & again. Dress accordingly. I HIGHLY recommend Mother Lode River Center. Thanks for the memories!

Yesterday, I went rafting down the Chilli Bar, South Fork, with my Groupon discount. It was wonderful!!!!
Bathrooms available for those that have to drive a ways to get there. Check in at the Yurt where they had hats and T-shirts for sale too. The staff was kind, articulate, aproachable,, and organized. We had three rafts going out. One guide, Erica wonderful. Another guide was a nurse. When we weren't going down rapids, the opportunity to swim or play games were embraced, ie... like try to Stand on the bow of the raft while the crew rows in circles to make you fall. We had a young one, very petite, about 7 or 8 years old, that our guide was really wonderful with. And we had a 63 year old, senior citizen on board too.
Each raft had provisions of a gallon of water, and granola bars. Lunch was simple, make your own turkey or salami sandwiches yet, accommodated vegans with a variety of veggies and fruit too.
I couldn't have asked for a better day.
My only regret that made me feel horrible was that, 30 minutes after I drove away, I realized my guide Erica deserved a tip. This was my first guided river rafting trip and I just didn't even think. The tip is in the mail my dear, with gratitude and appreciation for the Mother Lode Team and you. Thank you for a fun day of deer, turkey vultures, Hawks, old abandoned historical gold mining equipment from 1800's. And the best rapid of all,...Trouble Maker!!!

Had a awesome experience with Mother Lode and they are very serious about what they do. Our guide Dalvin was awesome. I know theres alot of rafting companies but Mother Lode is the place for me they give me that family comfort feeling. Awesome experience can't wait to return next season.

Only attended a Sierra Rescue certification course there, I didn't stay there, but the grounds are lovely and the location is excellent.

The day my family and I spent at Mother Lode was incredible! Coco and Scott were such amazing guides! The were quite a few other rafting companies ot on the water but Mother Lode stood out from all of the others. I would give them 10 stars if I could!!! They will not disappoint!

I've done quite a few rafting trips throughout California with various companies, but I have to say that Mother Load River Center is my favorite. The reason is quite simple, its the customer service. From arrival to the trip itself and the departure, I felt valued and cherished by everyone. Their guides are expert, friendly and dedicated to making your trip safe and VERY FUN. This company has earned my highest recommendation, you can not possibly go wrong choosing this company for your next white water adventure.

My wife and I had a blast! The instructors were great at catering our raft by assessing everyone's skills and what kind of experience we wanted to have. They promoted safety while not harping on it. Lunch was good and offered vegetarian options . We'll definitely return! Very much recommended!

I've been rafting with Mother Lode many times over the years, and also have done the ropes course. Always tons of fun. The guides are wonderful; the campground is gorgeous and one of a kind. I can't recommend this company enough!

WOW did I have a great time staying the night at the Mother Lode River Center then rafting the river the next day. First they fed us wonderful breakfast, then it wasn't
long till we lunched our rafts on the river. Our guide was awesome and sure knew the river and how to command us into a fighting force. I especially liked the rock she had us ram, where we spun backwards and continued on, very exciting! Then we were fed a delicious lunch. A great time was had by all. I'd love to go back again soon.

I had a BLAST!!! Our guide knew her stuff and made the trip downriver safe, informative and most of all FUN! The breakfast chow was excellent. Everyone we came in contact with was helpful and courteous. Check it out.

Went here for a 7th/8th grade field trip with my son and we had a blast. The staff were SO friendly, educational and fun to be around. They taught our kids team building through unique ways. The food was good as well. My son's favorite part was the zipline and tipping over the raft to learn what to do in a real capsized situation. Highly recommend

Great guides, good location. Owner is known to be a little cranky but not a huge deal.

This spot is absolutely wonderful! The staff, from the office to the drivers to the camp/activity staff members, are totally phenomenal! They're interactive, welcoming and they truly care that you have an outstanding experience. The ropes course was perfect for team building and personal growth. Ropes consists of Leap of Faith, Catwalk, Zip Line and Trust Walk.

Food was plentiful and delicious. They provided coolers to house the snacks we brought. The permanent canvas tents all had bunk cots and there were (7) 4 person tents and (2) 8 person tents. The restrooms were clean and they have actual toilets. The showers were a bit on the cool side, however we had a large group so it may have been too many showering in a short period of time. I highly recommend this location for overnight trips whether your group is large or small.

Very cool and fun for one picnic day or over night camping.

Where do I begin?! I nearly drowned in this river and this crazy bunch of hill billies wanted to throw my butt back in because I didn't have a launching/landing permit to be on their "private property!" Needless to say, this "private property" was the first thing I smacked into with my kayak so there really wasn't much of a choice for launching or "landing" for that matter. So IF you're a paying customer you just might get the friendly escort down the river, but fail to bribe these greedy tools and you'll get your butt thrown into the water faster than you can say "WAIT MY LIFE JACKET!"

Went for the intermediate rafting trip and had a blast! Also they had an awesome build your own sandwich table for lunch with all kinds of meats, cheeses, ect

I traveled to Mother Lode's riverside camp with my business mastermind group for a retreat and active fun. WE had a blast!!

I have been an active traveler and sport enthusiast for over 45 years. I traveled with many operators and love camping in beautiful outdoor settings. SO I feel I have a good idea of service, and quality operations

Mother Lode River Center has got it all. Great staff, awesome setting on the river, lots of shade (important in the summer) and food was great. They even have a private house you can rent which we did and loved.

I highly recommend Mother lode for rafting, ropes course, nature and a getaway you will love.

So much fun on the chili bar leg of south form. Definitely a great outfit with awesome guides, shuttle drivers, etc. Very organized.

One of thee best River rafting companies available in Coloma Valley. rafted for almost 6 weeks solid with Mother Lode and really just felt the way the guides could get connected in so many ways to their guest paddlers. I was surprised and amazed by how easily of an adventure everyone could have when they're just being open and allowing themselves to embrace nature and jump into the river while everyone is screaming and getting wet. :) just wish that zip line was California legalized already.... it's not supposed to be a roller coaster but it is considered one by man's law which is shite especially for Mother Lode guests. Such a fun company overall and has really top quality outdoor meals! Really gives Carr and support to their customer experience for every body.

I have never been rafting before this trip and was very nervous. The facility is so adorable with the best lunches around. Our rafting guide Andy was the absolute best guide anyone could ever ask for and quickly put my fears to rest. He was always very reassuring and quite funny I might add. This will be a yearly tradition for us and we will always request Andy. Thank you so much for a great experience!

We loved our river guide Brandon. He was great with the kids. We had a blast. All the staff was great. They provided helmets for the rafting. No one on the river from other companies had helmets. So big thank you for keeping me and my grandkids safe. Will definitely come back!!!!
