Other than the fact that you probably need water shoes of you're walking in the water, you'll have a pretty fun time. Just know and remember how strong the current really is.

Great weekend get away. Camping onsite and a great, safe, and fun staff.

Did the Jungle Trip with my 8 & 10 year old. Our guide Max was a lot of fun, made everyone feel safe and allowed the kids to jump out and swim/float during some slower periods. Would love to come back soon.

A perfect super fun day on the river - thanks to the awesome staff of Whitewater Voyages!! My first time ever doing river rafting was a truly wonderful and memorable experience. Chase our guide, was awesome and so incredibly knowledgeable. Chris was another super experienced guide on a different raft that traveled along with us. He was super sweet and he even gave us tourist pointers to continue to enjoy our weekend there. We did the half-day lower Kern River trip and I can't wait to come back here next year and do a longer trip. When I first called the company to explore my options, Luther, the owner was super helpful and informative. I booked it right away and whenever I called to ask them some more questions Luliia was super kind, friendly and patient. I purchased photos of our river trip and they are all so good! I will treasure this memory and the photos help keep all the fun moments so fresh in my mind. So here's how it went: We met at their location (inside the Frandy Campground) to check in. Chase, our guide, does a short safety training, Then they fit you in a helmet and secure your life vests and then load you in a big van and drive about 20 minutes away to unload and board the raft. You can bring along your sunscreen and water, there is a secure bag inside the raft for you to put your belongings in. Polarized sunglasses really made my eyes more comfortable on the water. The water was a very nice comfortable temperature - not freezing as I thought it would be.
They stop a point where you can jump off this big boulder and swim in the river. The scenery is beautiful nature, slight cool breeze in parts, and very serene. If you do the day long trip, they provide lunch. If you do a 2-day trip, they provide dinner and breakfast as well. If you are still thinking about going - STOP - just GO!!! You will have a great time. I love this Whitewater Voyages company! I highly recommend them and can't wait to do it again!!

Me & my daughter Amanda came from Sweden to do a two days rafting trip with Whitewater Voyages & we had the best time of our lives. We loved the rafting & the guides were very skilled & explained everything very well. The second day of rafting we got to jump of a cliff into the river current & swim as fast as we could back towards the boat. We felt very much alive. It was great planning with nice snacks and very fresh food for lunch, it was amazing. We had a spent the night outdoors but luckily we could borrow a tent since both me and my daughter are afraid of snakes and spiders etc. It was an awesome barbecue in the evening & we sat by the fire. During the evening the guides were only talking when we asked questions but maybe they were tired.
We loved this rafting experience & would like to thank Whitewater Voyages for making this the highlight of our trip. Also thanking Luther for all assistance & supplying us with photos to remember the trip by.

We had an absolutely FANTASTIC adventure with White Water Voyages. We did both the Jungle Run and the Big Water trips this weekend and loved every bit of it. Our guide Matt was amazing. He worked so well with our group that consisted of two adults and three teenagers. I highly recommend White Water Voyages and our guide Matt.

I have nothing but positive things to say about this company. They answered when I called, they returned voicemails, and emails. Were extremely friendly, professional and encouraging! We cannot wait to go back next summer.

Epic trip with amazing crew! No detail went unnoticed or unplanned for! The guides were professional, prepared, knowledgeable, friendly, informative, conversational, entertaining, energetic and tons of fun not to mention great chefs! Our group of 13 did a 2 day 1 night trip and stayed in their riverside location. The entire operation was precise and on point. The campgrounds were beautiful, clean and very fun. The guides Casual Josh, Blase Josh and Mike were some of the best I've seen. The water was amazing but the guides truly made the trip! Whatever they are paying these guys isn't enough! They led our group down the river in very high water safely but with plenty of excitement! The guides knew every turn in the river and even though we had a boat tip they were ready and reacted with poise immediately to gain control of the situation and ensure everyone's safety. Three other boats from other companies tipped in the same spot moments after 1 of our 3 boats so it was clearly a very tough spot to navigate. They made exceptional food both on the river and in camp. Definitely a do again, especially with these guides! Beware of the final rapid, it sneaks up on you!

Just the right mix of old-school adventure boating and the experience of veteran expert guides to get your crew back to shore safely! Go big AND go home... well fed, tired and with good stories to tell. I've rafted with all the companies on the Kern over the past two decades and these guys are the high water-mark, especially during seasons when the River God's bless us with high water!

First to our guide Daniel bull... 6 boats and six guides with 6 people in each boat in our group. i got to know each of the guides, I'll return and request Daniel again. Completely suprised by this team of guides and company... AMAZING~ i was able to visually compare white water voyges to the other river rafting companys that i could of unknowingly booked with... "we made a LUCKY GESS " i will use this co. Again. Rafting by the other company camps visually wasn't as inviting as ours IDK. Our guides knew the river lines to take to keep you in the boat as i wittnessed 2 different companys flip 2 different boats over on our 2day trip , i floated down river intentionally because i jumped out to get wet and floated AMAZING!

Second time being here and doing the 2 day trip. Rediculous fun and very relaxing. Yes, this trip is relaxing even though you raft 2 days down some 2-4 class rapids. Food is prepared by the crew. You take lunch breaks and dinner is provided.

Mike, Paul, Sage and the rest of the men and women in charge of keeping us idiots safe were very knowledgeable and professional. They all make you laugh and definitely keep you safe and inside the rafts. #teamgrinder #grindergang

If I can change only one thing, it would be to keep the office lady (Dinea) inside the office. Upon coming up to the trailer in the morning, where all gear is kept, she starts off by being unintentionally rude because she barks out instructions at you that actually conflict with the raft guides and what their allowances are on their boats. I would love to see the guides being out in front because seeing their bright and smiling, yet rugged faces, definitely raises ones mood. Thank you again! See you next time!

I have never been rafting before, and this place had THE best guides (Rafi and Abby)! They were super informative and funny too! The way they taught us to paddle and explained river safety precautions made our trip a breeze. We did the Jungle Run (which I suggest for beginners), but I am so confident in my newly acquired rafting skills that next time we are going to do more difficult part of the river. Also the group guide Josh was nice too!

Our family of 5 did the full-day Lower Kern on the 4th of July. This included our kids ages 7, 9 , and 12. WE HAD A BLAST! The kids loved it! The guides were very competent and fun. Lunch was really good. Before we even finished, the kids were asking when we can go rafting again. We wore life jackets and soft helmets, and attached a GoPro to one. Pics were great, as well as those that they took as well. My oldest did the "jump rock" multiple times-- jumped off a big rock and swam to shore. We went thru mostly class II rapids, and about 3 class III rapids. We followed directions and paddled as we were taught, including my 7 year old daughter. We stayed safe on the water, and learned the basics of white water rafting. We will definitely go again, and may take the boy scouts as well!

We had a BLAST on the lower kern two-day trip with WV. They are a very professional and fun company. We were a small group coming at the end of the season and they made us feel right at home. They provided DELICIOUS food and all the bells and whistles that you could want. Plus, their river guiding skills were top notch. We felt very safe and had a great time overall. Chase and Daniel were super cool dudes. 10/10!

Where do I begin! My friends and I came together to try something new, and we had such an amazing time! Our guide, Raffi, made our day truly memorable by sharing interesting facts about the river and hilarious jokes. The whole experience was stellar from start to finish. They made sure we were safe and all had a blast the whole way through. If you decide to book, make sure to ask for Raffi or Abby! They are the best that the company has to offer! This is a MUST when coming to the Kern River, especially if you have teenagers. Our river guide Mike was FUN and safe. Luther helped us find the best trip for us as a beginning family. We did the 1/2 day lower Kern and they have the best value compared to others in the area.

If you plan to have pictures of your trip. Make sure you bring a waterproof camera or you schedule one of their photographers ahead of time.

Whitewater Voyages Exceeded our expectations. We booked a last minute 2-day trip down the Kern for 29 people, and Dawn in their office answered all of my questions and had it all set-up within minutes. The guides navigated the Class 3 and Class 4 rapids like pros, they provided great lunches and even better dinner and breakfast - we camped under the stars at a very clean and comfortable site along the river. The guides were fun, helpful and great to be around - special thanks to Brian and Raphie who led us on the trip!

Frandys river rafting on the Kern is the best adventure of a life time . Our Guide Suzie was fantastic and Trent and Dillon were also so awesome. I highly recommend this as a number 1 on anyone's bucket list . We took a 10 yr and and iam 71 . Their knowledge of the river is phenomenal. Hats off to a fabulous time and I will b returning this summer . Love all of u . Judy , Jessica and Nancy Marion . .

Awesome experience excellent staff Very well organized and loads of fun. It was my 1 time and I was so nervous but the staff put my fears to ease. The tour was amazing I would like to thank two of the staff my tour guide Ry & Millie they made my Family day extra special I was able to conquer my fear of heights by jumping off a cliff thank you Millie don't think just do those was the encouraging words she said to me

Loved our experience Daniel was our guide and made our trip so awesome! Had lots of knowledge of the river. We did an overnighter and i was thoroughly impressed with how prepared they were navigating over 30 people. Their team work on and off the water kept us all safe and having a great time.

Not only does this man have 20 years of rafting experience, I witnessed him help save two people who had fallen out of their raft from rival rafting companies. He added fun and excitement to the experience, and his professionalism to his craft made us all feel safe so we could concentrate on enjoying the adventurous day. As soon as the day was over all I could think about was when I could come out again.

Came with a group of 8. One friend in a wheelchair. Chris, Rafty and MaxWere amazing! Daneya was also extremely helpful. And the bus driver. All around solid team of individuals.
