We spent months trying to figure out how to combine two Manhattan apartments. In frustration we eventually called Gus who made the entire process easier. We hired Morpurgo Architects to plan a significant addition to an 18th century stone house on the National Registry of Historic Places. We wanted to bring the house into the 21st century without violating its integrity and charm. Our Plans would need to be approved by our town s Historic Commission and separately by the Zoning Board. This was a tall order because we were purchasing the home at the time and wanted plans approved as a condition of sale of the house.

We had a great experience working with Morpugo architects. We did a gut renovation of our 1905 farmhouse in 2016 and we are delighted with the results. Spectacular is the first word that I think of when I'm in our newly designed home! One meeting with Gus and Laney and we knew this was the right Architectural firm for us. Gus has an amazing gift of reimagining a living space, and after a couple of meetings, he was very clear on the challenges within our home and desires for a new space. His design is functional and yet has a 'WOW' element when looking at the old and new footprint with vaulted ceilings and natural lighting that fills the rooms. As long time owners of a mid century modern home in a town we love; we hired Morpurgo Architects to redesign the space in the house to give us better flow when entertaining, enlarge our kitchen, completely remodel our 1960's basement, relocate the laundry room, add a home gym area, and update all the out of date bathrooms.
