I appreciate the help I received from Miss Cochran. She not only helped take the fear out of dealing with old debt, but also helped me understand the process of cleaning up my credit report. Overall, a very empowering experience. Thank you Miss Cochran!

After receiving a letter from them I called and explained that I would like more information regarding what they were trying to collect. They sent me an itemized bill from the hospital which showed charges of procedures that NEVER happened. I called them back to explain the situation, that I had already contacted the original debtor, and that I was disputing the debt and asked them to stop collection because it was an invalid debt. I was told that I could not call them to stop collection. When I repeated back what Brandi explained to me and asked to confirm that they were going to continue to try to collect a debt that NEVER occurred, she told me "this converation is over". Completely disgusted with their attempts to collect debts that aren't even legitimate.
They call my work numerous times and continue to harass me while I am trying to do my job at work. They have my mobile number, but refuse to call it and only call me during business hours at my job. They have tried to get me to give them information off my taxes, which they don't need to know. They also refuse to set up a payment plan with me. The law firm sucks.
Very difficult to work with, they disconnect you, transfer you to multiple people and make you jump through hoops just to settle a debt. Nobody seems to know what they are doing. They take well over a month to send a receipt and report it to the court but they will take your money straight away! I feel sorry for anyone who has to deal with this company.
This is the worst place to work for. The Managers in charge are horrible and have no respect for others. They set the worst examples for being in charge and you can't speak up for yourself when they have disrespected you cause if you do they make it seem like your the one in the wrong and fire you... They talk horrible about other employees and nothing is confidential. It's a big joke now I know why they have such a large turn around. Maybe the owner needs to look into the problem as to why you can't keep people working for you.
A Mr. Dunning (refuses to give a first name) from this firm has been attempting to collect a business debt. However, they can't provide any documentation stating that this debt (a 2+ year old utility bill) is our responsibility. I have contacted the utility company directly multiple times and they can't find the information either. Why in the world would I make a telephone payment on something when I can't even receive an itemized bill? I don't think we truly owe this bill, but I have no problem paying it if I could just get something showing me it was in our name during the time period in question. No one from the utility company has ever tried to contact me. "Mr. Dunning" calls me almost daily at work and I tell him the same thing. I am not going to pay a bill unless you can show me proof that this is something we owe. I heavily screen their calls, and they finally sent me "documentation" - blank invoices with no real information. Not exactly saying they aren't legit, but their practices are extremely questionable.
I am fully aware that this is a collection agency, and if you're being collected on, it is what it is.
HOWEVER: first and foremost they do not follow FDCPA laws. There was no attempt on their end to contact me before suing me. I had to search myself before I saw that there was an open lawsuit. I advised them they illegally still hasn't updated my credit report.
Second. I tried to resolve this matter out of court. I paid $200, then the other $500 they ran never cleared my account. I called and called over a period of 4 months and let them know the money never came out of my checking account. I gave them all my updated info. I was trying to pay them the money I owed. Last week I realized I had ANOTHER court date. I called them up, Elaine gave me a nasty attitude because I was mad. I said look, its absurd to me that its this difficult to pay you guys, and even more absurd you're treating me this way when I'm continuing to try to work with you guys. Not once did I raise my voice or say anything, but Elaine thought it necessary to start yelling at me.
I've worked collections before. There was no reason for this. They are very unprofessional and can't seem to pull their heads out of their butts to find correct information. There's a way to treat people who aren't willing to work with you, and there's a way to treat people who have been nice and professional towards you. They apparently don't know that.
It's funny though because, to this day, they never could find me to serve me. I suggest Love Beal & Nixon instead of these clowns.
Who in the world that works for the government sends an email claiming that they have a case against you regarding a debt. I researched all the local court systems and nowhere they have the case# that was provided to me. at least have the balls to serve the papers to me in person not an email. If you want some, come get some!
I have never had such a positive experience literally when dealing with a debt collector, until Morgan & Associates. They were straight forward and very professional. We reached a settlement and I paid it off over several months, actually paid it off 5 months early. Never ever once had a problem
