A Mr. Dunning (refuses to give a first name) from ...

A Mr. Dunning (refuses to give a first name) from this firm has been attempting to collect a business debt. However, they can't provide any documentation stating that this debt (a 2+ year old utility bill) is our responsibility. I have contacted the utility company directly multiple times and they can't find the information either. Why in the world would I make a telephone payment on something when I can't even receive an itemized bill? I don't think we truly owe this bill, but I have no problem paying it if I could just get something showing me it was in our name during the time period in question. No one from the utility company has ever tried to contact me. "Mr. Dunning" calls me almost daily at work and I tell him the same thing. I am not going to pay a bill unless you can show me proof that this is something we owe. I heavily screen their calls, and they finally sent me "documentation" - blank invoices with no real information. Not exactly saying they aren't legit, but their practices are extremely questionable.
