Anthony and the rest of the staff were amazing. Definitely a good choice for my birthday dinner.
Anthony and the rest of the staff were amazing. Definitely a good choice for my birthday dinner.
Great dinner establishment. Patio grill is alot of fun
New brunch menu is on Point. Every other day is better. We try and catch a meal there each time we are in town.
Gorgeous place, super friendly staff and amazing service. The peanut butter dessert was delicious
Ate an entire chicken, all their food is delicious. Love the strawberry moonshine.
Fantastic. Patio bar and fire place were great while we waited for our table. Service was very attentive and offered recommendations only when asked. Party of 8 in my group and all were very satisfied with their meal. Chicken fried steak was superb coming from a native Texan. Hard lemonade with moonshine....refreshing.
Amazing food, it was hard to pick an entree when everything looked incredible! Luckily the excellent service and recommendations by our server, Anthony, made the experience very enjoyable. Highly recommend this place to anyone coming through Austin.
Oh my god!!! Get the meatloaf! To say it is amazing is an understatement. Friendly staff, fast service and a cool building with plenty of patio space. Monsters and fans in all the outdoor areas to help keep you cool in the hot muggy summer months. The little corn bread muffins and pop corn is a great touch. With friends or family, you can go wrong eating here.
Delicious large Southern plates! The rosemary fries and pimento cheeseburger really hit the spot
I ve been to Australia and now i m in Houston and i ve NEVER tasted anything as good as this. The burgers were great, the best meat i ve ever tasted was here, the drinks and salads had a great variety of favors. The menu was huge and the meals too. You don t realize what huge plate you re eating since it s so good. The service was awesome always refilling cups and checking on us. I believe all waiters are good as the one I had (Pico). Best grill ever tasted! Compliments to the chef(s) and waiters!!!!!!!!!
Good food, had the chicken fried steak with a spicy gravy. Hubby had, forgot the name, but was in essence a pulled pork sandwich, said it was excellent too. They also support the second amendment and allow concealed and open carry! Awesome!!!!
Everything was delicious! I recommend the biscuits and sausage gravy appetizer and the steak and eggs entree. Alaina was our server and she was excellent! She was an awesome menu guide and made great suggestions for us as first time visitors. Loved it and will visit again!
The food here is always good. I really like the menu for food and drink. Definitely plan around the crowds though.
We were a party of four, each ordering a different meal. Everything was excellent, and the service was attentive without being intrusive.
The atmosphere is warm and friendly but there is often a long wait and it can get a bit loud. Fantastic food though! We tend to visit during off-hours.
Good southern food in an inviting space. Hard to wrong with any of their menu choices
The rainbow trout with sage butter is out of this world!!!
Great service and a fun location. I dropped in here one day and enjoyed a few drinks and some chicken almondine. Its a pretty snazzy place and has some good options, though the parking in the area isn't the best (as with most of the places downtown).
Moonshine Patio Bar & Grill was our first stop off the airplane (and typically is). We know we are going to get good service with quality, tasty food and a good variety of cocktails and whiskey to choose from. The chicken and waffles are a generous portion and all the elements work really well together. I suggest a side of the grits with whatever you get because they are pure bliss in comfort food form.
Delicious food , friendly staff , and generous portions.
Food is beyond amazing! I highly recommend eating here. Since I've moved to Austin, this is my favorite spot to bring friends and family when they're visiting. There is usually a wait but it is totally worth it!
Came here with my husband for our one year. It s casual. I got the special with steak chicken and shrimp over mashed potatoes. WOW PHENOMENAL. so good and not bad prices at all. Pico took care of us and did an absolutely amazing job. Highly recommend this place.
Awesome food! Some friends and I took a random trip to Austin and found this place. Crazy busy but well worth the wait and the price (almost $20 for the buffet). The buffet had a little bit of everything on it and tasted wonderful! A definite stop on our next trip to Austin.
Phenomenal food and service. A little pricey for me, but genuinely cannot complain about anything. Thoroughly enjoyed.
Everything is on point and whole experience satisfying
The food was terrific, worth the wait, I normally don't like pork chops, but the bartender suggested it I was practically scraping the last pieces off the bone, delishous.
This place is not afraid of butter! A bit of an overkill, but the food was good.
It was super crowded, with a couple private parties / special events on the Thursday night we went. We were told it would be a 2 1/2 hour wait, but luckily we were seated after 1 1/2 hours, and we were able to sit just outside the patio bar and order cocktails while waiting. We also had cocktails with dinner and none of us thought our cocktails were great, which is too bad, but the food was really good. The chicken fried steak was a huge portion with a great sauce. We also got the corn dog shrimp as an appetizer which was good, but not that spectacular.
Their food is heavenly. You must try the seasoned artichokes for an appetizer. I also enjoy their burger with a side of Mac/Cheese. Awesome people working, too!
The chicken fried steak was great...they have good ice...if that matters to you...it does to me
Great food and knowledgeable staff. Also, good happy hour specials.
I enjoy the ambience of the location , their outdoor yard, and interior decoration, the food is good comfort food, but expensive, I have to say for the Downtown of Austin , it is typical, the service was was good even when the location was busy.
Arrived admittedly late in the evening and a few drinks into the night, but the kitchen was still open so we ordered the ribs.
The wait staff was unresponsive and borderline disdainful. Ribs were over sauced and tough.
Excellent food and service. We've been going to Moonshine for years and it never fails to impress.
Awesome environment, great authentic food..probably the best food I had the entire time in Austin! Our server, Sam, was so great in making recommendations and being attentive..also the popcorn seasoning is like crack..it's to die for!
I wanted to take the time to say this was by far the best service I experienced while in Austin for a conference. The place was consistently slammed and the service was consistently excellent. Kudos to all!!! The food was great too. At one point, someone brought me the wrong salad. They corrected it so fast it was like it didn t happen. The other places around there could learn something from you. Thanks again!!!!
Low-key fun place w salty popcorn, amazing horseradish salmon
Their brunch is worth the wait. A great variety of items available. I think their cornmeal waffles are the best I've had.
The chicken and waffles work as good as everybody had told me
Phenomenal! Service was superb! Great place to appreciate Austin's food and unique style!
We were there on a manager Retreat for a few days we went to the escape room and as we were walking back to the hotel we just had to go in and have some ribs so my coworker and I split this it was wonderful
We went to a friend's surprise party at Moonshine this weekend. They were extremely accommodating considering we were 20+ people taking up a private area. Rather than leave us alone, they had 2 waiters continuously checking on us over the course of 90 minutes of drinks. We then sat in the Sunday Room and had some delicious food. The staff was great from start to finish.
The whole menu sounded great, though mostly heavy. I ended up getting a delicious turkey sandwich (yes, for dinner. Just a craving I was having) and my wife got the Green Chile Mac. Both were very tasty. The bowl of mac & cheese was monstrous and easily share-able.
We'll definitely be back to try other menu items and maybe come for what I hear is a very good brunch.
Loved moonshine grill. Austin mule was delicious. We had the catfish and it was slightly spicy and delicious. Cornbread, calamari appetizer, and our waitress was so nice! Loved this place. We did have a wait for about 30 min but no big deal.
great atmosphere, food, and service is spot on! drinks could use a little revision, as I feel they are too sweet. A go to for out of towners or couples on a date night.
Went with a large group and everyone's food looked amazing. We had complicated diets and children, but the staff was still patient and accommodating. Prices reflected the quality of both the meals and cocktails.
This place has a great atmosphere and excellent service. They bring wonderfully seasoned popcorn as a free appetizer, and their chicken and waffles are amazing.
Great service, incredible building, delicious menu! Great for a big group!
What a great place to start a 3 day vacation in Austin.
Lots going on close by.
Great food and service.
$3.60 to park close by.
Great food and huge portions. Very hospitable staff.
Sunday brunch is really good, especially the cheese grits. At $20 a person, I wish they would offer cheaper breakfast drinks.
Amazing food! Had the chef's special the first time and the chicken almondine tonight - both were so delicious!
Good food...and a lot of it! Loved the sweet potato tots! Waiter was terrific.
Service was great, and wine selection. Vegetarian options are limited to I believe only one plate though.
Great food, friendly service and lively atmosphere
Convenient location within walking distance to convention center. Worth the wait
LOVE THIS PLACE .....
U KNOW IT WILLIAM HAHA
Yes yes yes! Walked in the atmosphere was nice wood feel the service is great told us it was a 15 min wait but open seating in a seperate bar area price good portions are huge love this place.
Great experience; even better drinks! Ryan was an epic server for our large party.
Food was prettier than it was good and service was more affable than it was efficient. But my grandmother had something wonderful the time before we went so who knows.
Great comfort food, terrific staff, fair pricing. Parking s a total rip off. Would have been cheaper to take an Uber. Wonderful place.
Visiting from out of town and I really enjoyed the food!
Food is good. Service is good. I've been here a few times. There's always a line and your food will take a while.
Wait staff - great
Food - great
Prices - right on.
Food was amazing! We had the grit cakes and chicken almondine. So yummy! Staff was super friendly and cozy atmosphere
Giving it 5 stars for the amazing food and drinks! You can share a meal easily, they are Texas size portions! As far as service it was ok, the waiter was ok. But it is definitely worth eating here the food is one of the best we've had!
Great atmosphere amazing food. The Chicken and waffles was the bomb!
Probably the best steak I have ever had. Really nice setting.
Nice environment. Staff is friendly. The moonshine was good but not great. Grits patty was good as an appetizer but pricy for just one.
Great southern food. Mac and Cheese + pimento burger were very good.
The food and service is always great! Brunch is the best in Austin!
Gear food and food service! The wait wasn t too long for two of us but it was certainly worth it. Their menu had plenty of tasty options and they featured a really good list of bourbon/whiskey.
Great food, consistent, good service and close to the Convention Center
Service was Great, Justin and the female bartender on Sunday brunch where FABULOUS, very energetic and very vibrant i was very pleased with my visit to the Moonshine and be back soon!!!
Top notch. I got the trout and it did not disappoint!
