Omg YES! The staff was friendly, welcoming, very well educated on their menu, had lots of great suggestions. The food was AMAZING! Adam was our server and he had us laughing then whole time. I don't remember the bar tenders name but he was fantastic. There's a reason why there is a 45 minute wait at 3pm in the afternoon. This place is worth it!

We went for Sunday brunch, and there was a great selection of buffet offerings with a southwestern twist, such as the green chile and cheese grits, red velvet pancakes, etc. You can get a glass of spirit of your choice to enjoy with your brunch. Note, it is very packed for Sunday brunch. The wait is about 45 minutes with no reservation. Valet parking is $9, which is cheaper than the paid self parking next to the restaurant of $25 On a Sunday.

This place is absolutely delicious. We dined here while visiting Austin last weekend. I had the fajita salad it was so good. It had really good carne asada steak with little homemade tortilla triangle things to put the food in. It was oh-my-gosh good. So good everybody passed their plate around and tried each other's food good. We just couldn't believe how fantastic everything looked and tasted. I would definitely recommend.

Ordered calamari from the dinner menu..it was great..few days later ordered it for lunch and it was not the same at all..it seemed like it was prepared the night before and microwaved..also baked potato was overdone and mushy..nice happy hour prices

Excellent spot for modernized southern cooking. I regularly bring out of town guests and it is always a favorite. The portion sizes are large and the price/quality/size ratio is spot on. I have not had a single item on the menu that I wouldn t recommend. My favorites are the garlic bulb appetizer, the hangar steak, and the chicken and waffles.
The servers are always friendly and willing to offer recommendations to new diners.
They do not take reservations so plan on waiting a little while if you are going during typical dinner times. While you wait get a drink from the front bar and sit on the front porch. The back patio bar is another great option while you wait and you might even find a couple seats at the bar where you can order food from as well.

I went there for the happy hour. The service is awesome; they are very attentive and will never take too long or look the other way. The hard lemonade is great, but the moscow mule drink.. not so much (if you like drinks with ginger beer it s probably fine - I am from Brazil and they use better ingredients to prepare this). I ordered the fried green tomatoes and the shrimp corndog. The fried tomatoes were good, although I would use a more refreshing topping to even out the heaviness of the fried food (such as chopped tomatoes with something citric like lemon). The corndog was very easy to eat, although I am not a fan of mustard for this.. Again, I think it s too heavy and would prefer something that mimics a shrimp cocktail such as ketchup with horseradish, and maybe parsley. Overall, a very interesting experience! A good place to go with family and friends

This is one of the BEST Austin brunch spots. They serve on Saturdays and Sundays until 2. The buffet has awesome variety with really high quality food. Don't miss the green eggs, king ranch chicken casserole, and corn-flake breaded chicken strips.

Always great food, great drinks and outstanding service! Be sure to order any of the chef's specials: they aren't around for long, but worth the deviation from your normal menu pick.

Amazing atmosphere!!! Great choices for wines and whiskey, etc. My friends and I wanted a lighter meal and the salads were amazing and perfectly priced for their size!! The popcorn is extremely tasty!!! Definitely check this place out!! We did have to wait 30 minutes for an outdoor seat, right around dinner time. (So extremely normal) They have two bars to sit at, inside and out, to enjoy a drink while you wait! It was a truly nice meal and a close walk to rainy street for a little night life after dinner!!

Great family friendly restaurant serving Southern style American comfort food. Fried chicken and waffles were some of the best. Hanger steak was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The chips and queso was a hit with the kiddos. Highly recommended for a family dinner outing.

Today for lunch I went to Moonshine Patio Bar & Grill. This restaurant is inside of an antique home that was built before the Civil War. Its unique and very comfortable. When we sat down, for the table you are given popcorn. Yep, not chips More

I really like Moonshine. I like that they have multiple dining rooms and dining experiences. This place is extremely popular so there's always a lot of people there and some sort of wait so be prepared and plan ahead.

The food is always great and fantastic. I have been multiple times. I have always experienced great service. This time I was with a larger group during the lunch rush, so I'm guessing that's why our waiter was a little off or socially awkward.

Overall, I think this place is great, but if you get overwhelmed by large crowds, tight walking spaces, or long waits this isn't the place for you. HOWEVER... It is worth it. The food really is amazing. The desserts are huge. Just be in the right mindset for it.

I can't remember the last time I had a meal this delicious. Everything we had was over the top fantastic. Can't wait to go again next time I'm in Austin. Our server, Justin, really boosted the experience as well because he really knew his stuff. 5 stars!!!!

We've been here a couple of times. Both times the wait was extremely long. Probably my biggest complaint.

Moonshine has the feel of a nice chain restaurant (even though it is not a chain). It *seems* well maintained and well managed. They make their own moonshine, and even though it is quite expensive, it's worth it. Both times I've had it, it was delicious. The food is also extremely good.

The first time we went for dinner and it was delicious, we tried side dishes (mac & cheese and mashed potatoes were good), burgers very good, thick potato fries and sweet potatoes also delicious,

The second time we went back and I had chicken sandwich with mac and cheese, My wife had a smoked half-chicken with sweet potatoes and veggies, tried the bread pudding, all good. Definitely recommend if you don't mind the wait.

The Sunday brunch buffet is awesome. There is a very large variety and it is all high quality. The atmosphere is upbeat and lively. The patio gives you a nice outside feel even in inclement weather.

A dead rodent was just laying under another customer feet and staff didn't seem surprised as they removed it. Moonshine was good and strong. Loved it! Just after the rodent I couldn't eat there.

Farm to table restaurant, newer in older building a few blocks off 6th Street in area if hotels, walking distance. Had a great lunch, about a 10-15 minute wait as I don't believe they take reservations, at least not for lunch.

The food was great! The waitress on the other hand was not very kind. She seemed really annoyed with us the whole time. The fans on the patio are a nice touch and make it very comfortable.

The experience was marred by my son leaving his iphone in the Uber that took us there but they were very helpful in translating for the spanish speaking driver. Ribs were fantastic and whilst being a very smart restaurant it wasn't intimidating. Thank you for the food and assistance.

Always good food, but quite rich, too crowded so you feel rushed to vacate your table, and no reservations. I still like it, but I find that I just don't want to put up with the rushed atmosphere. Also, it's very loud in there with echoing stone walls so that it's hard to have a conversation in some areas.
