I have purchased many, many pieces of furniture, pictures, lamps, etc for rental property and for my home. I have had wonderful service from the owners, sales staff and delivery staff. They are always helpful, courteous and make you feel you are a valued customer. Reminds me that there are still stores that have that small town feeling. As you can tell, I am a great fan of Monty's Furniture. I highly recommend going there. If you see it, like it, you better buy it - the inventory changes quickly.

We moved to Sun City from Cleveland Ohio in 2008. A lot of our furniture was purchased from Monty's. They have excellent furniture for sale at a very decent price and the furniture hasn't worn out or degraded. All we purchased is still in use today (2-27-2018). They also have a convenient Post Office inside the facility. Can''t do better than Monty's Furniture.

Always a great selection of new and used furniture. Staff always cheerful and friendly.

A good place to look, some older things and some new things, attractively displayed but a little expensive.

I was looking for a small table and chairs for a small apt. I found one I liked but then thought it might be to big. One of the staff came over and said watch this and showed me how the table folded in half. It works perfectly and I even had enough room when opened for Thanksgiving dinner! Thank you for all your help!!

Fun place to look around. Much more expensive than thrift stores, but a lot cheaper than department stores. Lots of people in Sun City West send their stuff here when they are clearing their houses out.

They have what seems like everything. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

We have purchased several items from Montys in the past. The employees are always really nice and professional. I have read other reviews of this place and have to disagree. The furniture is very nice and the prices are always negotiable. We were there two weeks ago looking for a sectional but did not find one. Not much inventory this go around but think it has something to with the season. Most people dont move in the summertime. Thats what they say? But no worries, we will be back anyother time, hopefuly they will have something we like. When shopping at a consignment store, its hit or miss. You kind of never know what you will find. Thats what makes shopping at Montys fun.

Nice things, clean store, staff is friendly, BUT it's worse than dealing directly with owners of items on prices. Too high on pricing for most of their consignment items.

They do not wear masks. They are rude to people who do.

Everyone should do a walk-through Monty's at least once a month. You never know what Treasures you might find.

I visited this store one day about an hour before they were to close. The lights were turned off in the back areas so you couldnt see anything. The owner seemed rude and bothered that someone was in his store. Maybe he wanted to go home..? I wont be going back.

I endorse Monty's without reservation. They have an open, well lighted display, and they have many quality items at very fair prices. When I took items in for consignment, they researched the origin of the most expensive pieces rather than just take my word for the cost, to ensure that the price for the customer would be fair. They made repair to small blemishes without charge. They are both pleasant and professional, and with the changing inventory you'll always enjoy prowling through the showroom looking for your special bargain.

They were great from start to finish! Dione was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and helped me get a client of mine taken with a very challenging situation taken care of. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and look forward to working with them again!

My first visit here. Was impressed at the organization of all the furniture. 60,000 sf of great looking items. Prices were well within reason. Coming back to shop again.

If you consign furniture here be very careful to read your contract. They will keep your consignment if you do not call them on the correct day no matter how valuable it is. They will say too bad you should have called. They will not call you, they have no customer courtesy or moral rightness.They will hide behind It s a legal contract and not their obligation to contact you that they are going to keep your consignment. So I would advise you to be weary of this place.

I've been going to Monty's for more than 5 years. The sales people are always very friendly & helpful & they don't follow you thru the store.
Also, there's always a good selection of items at various prices.

Sales woman very rude! We were upstairs and my husband happened to glance over and see through a hole in the burlap and lattice wood on the wall a grill that was downstairs. He went downstairs and asked if it was available. (Very politely) I was in the back section of the store and she was all flustered because she couldn t find the grill and I told her he had seen it from upstairs. She started fussing at me about how that was private stuff with very personal information on it not to be seen by the public, blah, blah, blah. I went to find my husband and here she comes accusing him of prying where he wasn t supposed to look like she had dead bodies back there or something! First of all you can see through burlap with spaces in it and lattice. Put up a damned wall! I don t think Superman can read private information from that far away! She followed us all the way to the door ranting and raving after my husband said Thank you for your time. SMH!
Edit: This woman answered back about my husband shaking her hand when we left and hurting her. He has been in a business his lifelong career where he works with women and he knows how to shake a woman s hand gently. We did not leave in a huff. We left dismayed that just asking an innocent question would cause such a reaction. We did not enter any restricted area at anytime. I m done with this. We ve never left a bad review for any business but we ve never been made to feel guilty for just looking.

Old, visibly used stuff at new furniture prices. No thanks! * In response to the owners response... imo the furniture items you have for sale are overpriced for what they are. I've been to your store, American Furniture Warehouse, Mor's, Ashley's, Living Spaces and a few others all within the last week or so and your prices are as high and even higher than some of the new furniture stores. And of course your furniture is used. And you can tell it's used... and dated. To be honest your furniture is about on par with what you might find on offer at a Goodwill or Salvation Army store, except at higher prices. I visited your store on the strength of the other reviews, then was surprised once I got there and saw what you had for sale, and the prices. However, if anyone is looking for dated, used furniture at inflated prices, I can highly recommend they patronize your store. Very clean! Very friendly! Wonderful selection of all types furniture, in excellent condition. We were looking for a bedroom bureau, most were in sets with a few separate pieces. Will be checking back with them soon.

I needed a new living room chair, Stopped and had breakfast at Royal Cafe and was going to head down to AFW in glendale for a chair, But I noticed Monty's Furniture store right next door and was like "Hmm Let me look in here" Found a nice comfy Recliner for a decent price and they were able to deliver to me this very day! Wonderful Experience! will tell my neighbors and friends what a good experience I had with the ease of shopping and quick delivery.

Moneys was a no-show for a furniture evaluation. I asked to speak with the manager. I was told our probably smells. We are people of color. The manage said their store does not conduct people like us . The racial overtones were clearly obvious from conversation.

What to say.....First of all, have you ever been into a place that has used furniture? Nice? Usually only ok. However, not so at Monty's! This little place in the shopping center on Grand & 107th Ave in Sun City is absolutely wonderful! The used furniture they sell is taken on consignment, usually as part of an estate sale or some such. So, it has been in the home of an elderly (usually) person, who has taken fantastic care of it! And the prices are very fair, and they deliver for a nominal fee. I can't say enough good things about Monty's. It's a place I come to shop, of course. Bought quite a few things there. But it's also a place to dream, just dream "if I put this in the living room, ...." That sort of thing... Truly a place I love.

Nice consignment furniture store. Very good selection of clean and upper class furniture. No junk or badly used stuff. Fair prices that may come down a little if you inquire. Delivery available if you can't take it with you. Prices vary based on delivery location. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We were happy with our purchases.

We love Monty s! We always seem to find what we want in this store. It is clean, organized and the staff is wonderful. Because of rapid turnover, if you like something, don t wait or it will be gone. A little on the expensive side, but good deals can be found.

Montys is a high end consignment and new furniture outlet with excellent, very clean merchandise. We purchased several items for very low prices. The quality is good to very good, but not excellent, commensurate with the low prices.

I found a 2nd hand chair here that was in great condition. I paid a very fair price for it and I think everyone was happy all around.

Asked a sales rep a question and she went off on me for asking about a piece in a back room. Stay away
Response to your reply, I understand about privacy rights. The grill in question could be seen through the burlap. We happened to be looking for a grill and I thought it was a staging area for new stock. We couldn t read anything written on that stuff because we were about 30 feet away and about 20 feet higher then the stuff. So, that being said I tried to explain this to the sales rep and she would not listen and kept on abusing me for prying. I tried to apologize and she just kept on. Finally I just gave up, said we were sorry and to have a nice day. She is flat out lying about the handshake. I didn t throw her hand/arm or do anything unfriendly like. All she had to do was say this stuff is unavailable but we will be on the look out for a grill for you. That would of garnered a sale for you and a pleasant experience for us. She must be trying to spin the situation to combat the poor review.

I go into Monty's somewhat regularly to see what new merchandise they have. Each time, I'm amazed at how clean everything is, freshly vacuumed and dusted. They carry beautiful quality furniture, well displayed, modern and classic styles. I learned the hard way that how quickly items sell when I saw a TV/entertainment stand last year, excellent condition, and wanted to think about it for a couple of days. Went back, it was sold. I saw a beautiful La-Z-Boy sleeper sofa just a few weeks ago, looked new, excellent price, of course it was gone when I went back a week later. I went in the other day for a quick look around, saw "sold" tags on 2 items I liked, when I saw a gorgeous La-Z-Boy sofa/loveseat set, beautiful color, so comfortable, excellent condition, priced way below what a new La-Z-Boy sofa costs (I know, I bought a new one last summer), I immediately asked about it. I was told they had put it out that morning? the day before? I have learned my lesson. LOL. Yes, they deliver.

Sales staff are very nice and obliging. Helpful when you need them, but will leave you alone to look. They sell on consignment, so sometimes they can negotiate price a little.

If you're looking for something specific, tell them. Or go back often. It's worth it.

Too bad they tell people who are wearing masks to leave. Heard today that this happened. Sad. Not a good place to go during a pandemic.

The best place to shop...the prices are fun and the people are friendly and tje environment is awesome...prices for every budget...style that rocks...and the location is clean, and just looks like a million dollar center...if you don't go then you are by far missing out...setvice dog friendly and they treat you like family

This store is the best we have found in the Surprise area. The customer service is outstanding. They fully stand behind their new products. We bought a new sofa and two months later an internal support popped loose with a rod protruding out into the fabric. They ordered a replacement from the factory, came out and retrieved the defective sofa and replaced it with a new one, at no charge. The delivery folks were terrific and very professional. In the future this will be our first "go to" when furniture shopping.
