Wasn't the same here with the art bus . Had to do a U turn to get there.

Great hamburgers and beer. Awesome music on Wednesday. Rock and Roll with local bands jamming. I lime to dance there too.

They we're able to accommodate for a party of 17. I would recommend calling before like we did if you have a larger party. The nice blonde girl who was our server was very attentive to everyone's drinks and an absolute sweetheart. The food was good and I heard some good feedback on the fries, wings, and burger.

First time at Monte Vista! Had heard amazing things about the place and this Saturday they had an amazing live band which was the highlight. But, after going upstairs, we sat down at the corner and waited 30 minutes with no service, although, two waitresses made eye contact with us. Each one came around to serve the other tables but completely ignored us.

The location has great music, but we got zero service upstairs.

Maybe it will be better for any future visits, but I doubt friends and I will be returning.

Not a bad atmosphere, but it turns into a ghetto college night club with blaring music at night. I came here in the evening through for some food. They have a nice menu with a good beer selection and lots of food options. The food choices are mostly bar food stuff like appetizers and greasy burgers and such. I was pretty impressed with their truffle fries though. Super yummy. I will probably come back here for a quick beer or some light food, but not after 10pm.

The service here is above par. The bill was fair I would say. Feeling here is similar to a cafe in San Jose I liked.

Celebrated new years eve here. The bar staff was amazing and the drinks were fun!

Some of the best hot wings in town. Great service and open mic is exceptional. What a great place. Comfortable and great sounds. Feel like we re on vacation.

Tonight was great night here. The bartender served a drink called White Gummy bear and it was amazing. It was just sweet enough and did not have an alcohol taste.

I had Mac n cheese w green chili and hubby had nachos along with the service and band everything was excellent

The food here is good but it s not worth it because the service sucks so bad. Each time I m here, busy or not the server doesn t get me refills without me chasing them down. I sit with an empty plate for 30 min waiting on them to come near enough to my table to ask for a check. The last time I came I ordered steak kabobs and ate them and then ordered a second set of steak kabobs. 45 minutes later I flagged down my waitress wondering where my food was and she returned from the kitchen saying they were almost done cooking but made me the wrong food. She didn t offer a discount or even apologize she just asked if I wanted them and when I said no she just cancelled them, then took 10 min to bring me change. I was one of three people in the whole place. Tonight I called the restaurant FIFTEEN times to place a to go order and one time about 3 calls in someone answered and said they can t take my order and to call again and someone upstairs will answer. 12 calls later I just drove over and told them what happened and the guy didn t care at all.

Nice place but I notice the waitresses dont give near enough attention if you are there with a girlfriend/wife/female friend. I understand why but I think you should do you job as best you can all the time and not selectively prioritize certain patrons to get better tips. Otherwise this place would be a 5 star review. Great and inexpensive vodka hot wings and tap beer on Tuesdays. Probably best deal in town.

Really gone downhill. Walked in this past weekend to go upstairs and it smelled like a urinal cake and made me gag. Upstairs, we sat on the patio and ordered from a green hostess. The bartender was rude and condescending: he didn't have two selections of beer that my friend asked for and sent a beer out that she didn't select and he said "this one is close enough!" What. Then my other friend said her drink tasted funny and returned it. And my fiance went to complain about his drink and the bartender started arguing with him. British guy or something. After that, I can only suppose it was the bartender's psycho girlfriend (who said she works at Copper Lounge - AVOID), because that is the only explanation for her following my fiance out and trying to start a fight with him. Mind you, this is all in the first hour - 7 witnesses, nobody drunk - we got up and left. Never coming back here again.

Used to come here when I was in college. Loved the patio, this visit the patio was dirty, tarps are torn and tattered. Bad service. Hope this was just a fluke???

Food was not good, absolutely horrible service and it wasn't even busy.

Vista has amazing food. Seriously go try it, best red chile in town. It is more known for being a bar, and it's pretty good at that too.

Good venue on Central; nice waitress; good selection of dtinks (went to the bar upstairs).

If you're under the age of 25 I'd recommend not going after 9pm, as MV is definitely a college bar. It gets rowdy and the bouncers experience a complete power trip so it's best to seek alternative bars. They have $.35 wings on Tuesdays which is the best time to go, as they are delicious. MV is also up for sale right now so who knows what direction new ownership will take the bar in.

Great blues jam on Wednesday nights!! Love going there! Food is excellent and service is great!

frito pie was just fritos, and lettuce. ordered fajitas and had to look for the beef thru all the veggies. not much meat at all. taco bell gives more for less $$.

Good hot wings. Drinks are decent. Street front patio dining or downstairs dining areas are nicer than upstairs.

A regular spot for a drink and sometimes food. Dive/College bar....so expect solid drinks, loud atmosphere, and a good time. Great bartenders and that is what makes this a place to stop...

Great place nice to have two stories and the patio is really nice even in the winter time they have heaters and a fire going.

The management shouldn't allow rude, ignorant children to run their upstairs bar. Never going back.

Food is great, service is hit or miss. It s a shame the service isn t more reliable, we d be here more often if that were the case.
