All things said below...I've been going here for years. This place is one of the worst YMCA"s I've ever been in. One advantage is your membership is that you get nationwide admission to ANY YMCA. Amazing as it may seem, this place still continues to operate even though I hear complaints almost daily in the men's locker. The whirlpool (at least in the men's side) is usually broken down, or not functioning properly and dirty. The dry sauna is also often broken, although it seems to be up more often now that they've gotten a new heater unit. Cleanliness is not the top priority and some areas could use help.
The elderly lady. Lisa was rude AS HELL! she made it clear that this YMCA WAS A PROFITABLE BUSSINESS...
and LISA made us feel embarrassed and show No Christian values.. Lisa needs a new JOB... Needless too say we're not getting a membership there... UGH...
Great place to workout. There's classes to take, a nice pool to swim in, exercise equipment throughout, and free weights, 2 gyms, tennis courts, racquetball areas, child watch facilities and friendly staff.
Both of my daughters are in their swim lessons and my oldest is now 7 and she is an excellent swimmer and my 3 year old is almost swimming. This is an excellent program. Emily is currently teaching my 3 year old and what makes her an excellent teacher is not only is she making sure the children are learning pool safety and proper form, but she engauges with the children in a way that they trust her like a big sister. I can tell that these teachers really care.
Like that I can to a place and do a lot there. Yoga, swim, jacuzzi, sauna, etc. Cant go wrong.
Jerry the tennis pro does a great job. Incredible with the kids
I have been going her for 40 plus years, always reliable and friendly.
It's funny how a "community" company doesn't even know their community. I've been going for three consecutive years now about two-three days a week and the same people still ask me every single time if I have a 24hr card when I'm there around closing time.
I had a little word with them and they haven't bothered me since LOL
Affordable day care, friendly staff. Good value for your money.
Awesome place to go. Staff is super nice and helpful!
Neat facility and the staff ecspecialy Rachel Head are awesome!
A lot of nice and helpful people working and very clean. Lots of different things to do.
The ymca is so stupid, I went to a birthday party and the life guard made me swim in the smaller section she said I was struggling to get to the other side of the pool and the funny part is that I got my swimming lessons at the ymca. Screw the ymca
Lisa is RUDE to people also Needs people to clean all day long.. The showers get nasty, after being used .... All showers... This place needs a full time custodial, just for all showers and bathrooms..... The women whirl poor does not work ,98 percent of the time.... Do not. Ever recommended...Try temperance YMCA or Wayne County...Quite the difference..
My daughter practices tennis there and some games so that is all I know for now and that part is great so most likely the rest is the same. Great people there nice family place to go
the ymca has a lot to offer, great place, nice people, great to workout. good equipment
The Y is spending huge amounts on upgrading the facility but do not maintain the existing equipment This Ab machine has had the left leveling leg missing for four months. The drinking fountains have refrigerating units but the water warm.
I love the YMCA. It has a great environment, the gym and weightlifting areas are great. Good Christian values too. Overall, a great place to hang out and get in shape.
I love my local YMCA for all they do with the community. However, this one is a little older with updates. If they did more renovations with the building it would be a better place for the community.
Love this facility! The pool, the classes and the workout gyms!
Went to sign up for membership had the bank call you to get correct documentation. So when we arrive with a bank doc with all our info and IDs we were to this was not good enough. On top of that lady at counter was rude. Never will you have my business we are going elsewhere.
Friendly staff that seem to know everyone's name. Entire place is always clean and in order. Child care staff is absolutely amazing. My kids prefer to see them some days than to rather go swimming.
So disgusted right now with poor treatment myself and my son just received from "Kristen" a manager at the Y. She left a voicemail on my phone accusing my son of stealing a basketball, I went there with my son to confirm that she was incorrect, he had taken his godfather's ball, whom he was with. She denied accusing him, I played the voicemail for her to hear and she said "well I have to do that to get a response back" . She was very rude. Never even apologized to my son.
I definitely suggest some training for MANAGEMENT on how to handle situations because obviously she had no clue.
Love going here with my son. I just wished the gym areas were actually supervised by staff. The teenagers tend to get out of hand frequently. Outside of that the exercise equipment is very new and very nice. Well maintained.
This review is for customer service only. Facility and trainers are awesome. The one male rep was very impatient when I request to cancel the swimming class. He asked why couldn't you do it. Oh, really? The class hasn't start. I never experienced any bad service like this one. He was playing his phone while working in front desk. Then, he talked to his coworker behind my back. Great service.
We are members and being able to go and work out or thinking about working out is always a good option for us
Very clean changed a lot in the past year very upbeat .
Good workout classes with lots of help and machines.
Place is alright, but most of the lifeguards are always not nice and tell my wife and I "No PDA." Which means "No Public Display of Affection." They told us this when my wife only hugged, but a month ago, some other couple were actually making out in the pool.
Honestly, I'd rather go to another YMCA than this one.
Overall great place. Free child watch for members while you work out.
Amazing place...lots of equipment...extremely clean.
I really like this Y. Nice staff and lots of programs to offer. I do wish the women's locker room had some of the amenities that the family locker room has. Such as hair dryers and the wall mounted machine to take the water out of your swim suit. Would also be nice if they had an indoor track.
