Staff not cool with the elderly hospitalized. Very disappointed compared to previous years in which the staff were friendly. Is this change in attitude due to the fact that there may not be enough nurses per department?
By cons in one-day super friendly and very attentive staff ... even with the elderly! (Ditto in other services where the staff has been really nice to my parent hospitalized in recent weeks)
Today I first saw Dr. Benjelloun Ghita, a dermatologist.
A very friendly doctor, gentle, precise in her way of working. She also explains well.
My appointment with her next year has already been set!
My student son, a young adult, was admitted to the emergency room and hospitalized in the middle of the night. He was very well taken care of and felt warmly secure. thank you
Unacceptable behavior from the administration! After doing my best to explain in French, the lady rudely hung up because I could not say my birth date. I would understand this from a small hospital in a small town, but in Brussels, in the heart of the city, not having administration staff who speak English or are at least willing to be polite and transfer you to someone who does is ridiculous. (review on behalf of a colleague)
Good doctors, great nurses. Thanks for saving my life
I have been to this clinic since the birth of my 1 child, I am on my way to 3 and I have always been treated very well from the doctor to the axillary service I have nothing to say My doctor and genius recommend Dr Jean Paul van goussam very friendly and careful
I broke my right hand that plastered me but my hand was super inflated in the plaster. I have been prescribed re-education sessions ... I had resonances of pain in my left hand. Today and Davos a clinical series I am proposed to recaser my hand that was not well cared for better use: (((
Very rude and in a hurry assistant from the eyes exam at the reception another one who was more busy with her phone than us who were waiting. Kept me there for almost 2 hours and for nothing made me do an extra exam just for the sake of paying them more money. At the end the doctor did not prescribe me a new pair of glasses because he said the miopism was just "a little bit " more higher. To come in a few months to redo an exam. The waiting tivos very long and I was late to pick up my kid from school. I paid a lot of money and time for nothing. Not satisfied at all.
very satisfied we are very well surrounded personal charming anesthesiologist, the surgeon, the nurses and all the staff is the little care for us I recommend this clinic !!!!
The people are great the cafeteria is too cool I thought in America I loved it
To the aceuille I never had an answer neither just nor pleasant really unfriendly the two people on the spot
one does not speak Dutch, no English, and one cannot be reached by phone, Brussels should close this institution completely, what a shame ...
The clinic is in Brussels, and should be Bilingual, Dutch / French. Treatment as well as communication where dangerous, and needed more
Hospital filled with incompetent! I was admitted to the emergency room for an allergy attack that degenerated at work. I was received by 2 nurses. The first one misdiagnosed my allergy and the second my sting badly (it gave me a sting of cortisone in the muscle which hurts me extremely). To top it off, I asked for a medical certificate (since I left in emergency work) and they gave me a notice! How do you want me to justify my absence without a certificate !!!!!! When I called the hospital to correct their mistake, the lady on the phone (extremely rude and condescending) minimized my problem and told me that the doctor gave a certificate if he wanted and that there was no no proof of a home delivery, or that it is written on my calling card that I was sent home ... I AM SHOCKED!
Doctors and support staff is generally good.
The speak enough english for you to communicate (Doctors are good english speakers).
In Emergency the waiting time is too much.
Pay attention to the maternity, a nurse (Dutch-speaking, name beginning with "Hi ...") racist and crazy is trying to get away from your baby to attack him. Fortunately my wife reacted in time to hear the screams but our child got away with several scratches and hair ripped off. The other nurses confirmed to me that she "had a problem". The hospital gave him his "full support", so I lodged a complaint with the police (and do not rely on mediation that tries to baratinate you). Too bad because the rest of the staff was very professional, but the hospital refused any confrontation and even to accept to see the pictures of the wounds taken that day. It says a lot about the complicity of management ...
You always have to wait a lot when you arrive for an appointment. The services are not well connected and we have to take papers from one service to another (even with months of separation between appointments) instead of having the different services manage everything in our files on the computer . The elevators are old ex slow. There is rarely natural light and the waiting rooms are not pleasant. Fortunately some administrators make an effort to be friendly. Doctors on most occasions were friendly and knowledgeable, but a pediatrician had made unnecessary homeopathic prescriptions (she is no longer on duty).
I give you Star moral health. Thank you and good luck, we are proud of you !!!
Very easy to access, knowledgeable staff and really very hospitable bravo to all the team of nurses and doctors who do a great job.
Too often people complain for nothing.
It is important to encourage all these professions whenever possible.
In France many hospitals should take example of the way of working that is given here in Belgium.
Thank you to all of you.
A Frenchman who has traveled more than 1200 km to get treatment here.

Nice welcome, and doctors are fine! but incompetent and inhuman nurses !!
My opinion applies to the One Day Clinic: Excellent welcome, very good organization. Between my installation in the room and my departure for the block I hardly had to wait and all the staff were very friendly and professional. You are in good hands in this clinic.
Very good pneumology service. Dr. Schroeven is so attentive, a true professional. The reception has all the required qualities.
I was taken to this clinic by ambulance, and since I was alone in Brussels and no one was with me, I was left completely to myself. The communication was only in French and in shock this was of course incomprehensible to me as one is here in a Bilingual city that has to offer both languages .... in short a shame
I do not recommend the radio service in any case to do an ultrasound. Twice I show up to echo twice I run into the same lady and each time I have nothing. I went to a private radiologist for results the two times I had a tear. Little blond lady not so good the service on hearing
For two friends as for my wife the cardiology service is more than super in every way
Gastro department was disappointing. Instead of asking abiut my issue..Doctor started ranting to me about why you dont speak french etc etc. I wonder whats wrong with these people, they think of Brussels as a globalised city and then they have this type of mentality.
I went there for a second opinion and fresh diagnosis as my symptoms have worsened over time. But the Doctor refused to check up.bad attitude.
thanks a lot to all the staff, great doctors and team
Very bad care in emergencies. My friend arrives around 19h, with an ankle doubled volume, very painful and can not put his foot on the ground. We give him just a dafalgan upon his arrival and nothing else. A doctor just told him that she will have a radio and there ... More news for 3 hours ... 3 LONG hours to wait with a very painful ankle and with every little toe movement reminds her that she is very hurt. For a moment they put it in a box to put it back in the waiting room his swollen foot in the sight of all. No respect for modesty ... I can not believe it. And when I have the misfortune to call to understand the reason, the only excuse is that "people are between life and death" yes I agree but in the meantime we have not offered him ice cream or put her in a bed so she can rest and calm the pain. I am then told that I am being treated by the doctor but the receptionist answers me again by pretending to be the doctor and telling me that she just has to wait. To which I replied that it was inadmissible knowing the pain through which this person passes.
I DO NOT recommend this clinic for questionable emergencies in patient management. Be careful if you are going to go there.
After a heart attack in 2014, I was hospitalized here. I was satisfied with everything. I especially appreciate the system, which does not force staff to treat patients like in barracks, maybe it is already in the general culture of the nation. The diet was also incomparable with Slovakia. Doctors here and there are professionally on the same level, it's always about approach. On the other hand, I left our hospital fully equipped with drugs until there.
my mother arrived there in emergency for a fall (82 years), and placed in geriatrics and well it was a daily fight to be given her dosage of drugs that she had with her, for her problems of tension that they managed to raise up to 22 .Inadmissible !!!!! returned on a Thursday we had to wait until Monday afternoon to see the doctor of the department who had decided on drugs so no way for nurses to give my mom's personal medication. We removed it as soon as possible by signing a discharge . Route 220
Normally I did not even want to put a star but unfortunately to write a comment I must. So we had a meeting at 9:30 at the traumatologist but we went back at 10:30 and our consultation ended at 12h because we put a plaster then we had a meeting at the cardiologist at 13:30 but they took all the people who had appointment at 14h we are staying until 14:30 and there is no excuses I am warned that we have a appointment at 13:30 the woman she was spanking me that say yes we did not forget but 1:30 late cmment it is done
First experience with a hospital due to sudden bad back pain. Although skeptical when reading the various opinions, I was very pleasantly surprised by the kindness, the professionalism, the proactivity and the efficiency of the healthcare team. In the heart of Brussels, it is easy to access. Inside, everything is extremely well marked and staff is posted at the reception to explain everything and guide the patient along his "hospital" journey. A big thank you to the team at Saint-Jean clinics. They made a moment that I apprehended pleasant. Thanks to all of them !!!!
I had a bad middle ear infection and the doctor did not look in my ear. Only when I asked. I came in the evening with a severe earache. I did not have any antibiotics and I had to wait 4 hours.
Very bad experience. Staff more than I hide, see unpleasant ... never again.
Dissatisfied care after a colonoscopy on the 6th floor from the nurses, ashamed !!!
Even inadmissible !!! I had 7 operations and never a way to be treated after, I mean, by the nurses. I will not change anything, I only say the truth, having had a father doctor, I say formally what is it! I was made pay the towel to clean me after the colonoscopy! In other hospitals, patients go out to wash and clean !!!!!!!!! Everyone must know it!
Nothing to modify !!!
FOR RHUMATOLOGIST SERGE STEINFELD? I OFFER 5 STARS QU4IL MERIT WIDELY? KNOWING IT FOR 20 YEARS. LOOKING FOR WHAT IT FINDS? I INDIRECTLY SAVED 3 CANCERS BETWEEN ANY OTHER, ALL MY RESPECTS AND CONGRATULATIONS FOR HIS SKILLS !!!! GRAND THANK YOU DOCTOR STEINFELD !!! Liliane Kremer
Hospital to avoid. Not only are the staff unqualified but they are also openly unfriendly. Moreover the word emergency is not part of their vocabularies. I even heard a nurse say insults to a homosexual patient.
They don't speak Dutch but still are very friendly and helpful (in a mixture of French/English/Dutch).
Very nice clinic, warm welcome and professional staff.
Very bad experience with the dentistry department, in particular with the Jacquet dentist. Confused, disrespectful and more stressed staff than the patients. Unable to have clear answers, contradicts yourself and brings in patients so as not to see them.
The receptionist at level -2 was also disrespectful and apparently had no interest in the patients.
It feels like a station counter ...
In short, run away!
Excellent service! Professional, polite, lot of care and attention! In each department: emergency recption, delivery, neonatal care, maternity, administration. Thank you all to help me !!!!
A nice hospital, with nice staff. The only resentment/negative comment I have is that when you call for info, departments or emergency room, almost no one speaks English. Its a hospital in the center of Brussels, with a lot of tourists visiting. You need at least basic communication skills in other EU languages. Be prepared to wait loooong time in the ER,from 3-6hrs, as there is always a lot of people.
Some staff members are rude: I was today in the early morning in the emergency because my daughter had a lot of pain in her estomac, they did the first check and said we will wait for the doctor, I was very stressed because I have to leave and catch my flight of 6.40 to Barcelona (travel for work), so I simply ask one of the staff if it is feasebale that we leave at this time (because my husband will take me to the airport) and come back within 30 min, she said "it is not a shooping mall you enter and leave whenever you want and if you leavr you will do the subscription again and she said you only can decide if your flight is more important than your daughter!!! I was realy shocked by her manner
Very good hospital the doctors speak Flemish At the reception we must take a sheet with all the information that is on the sheet very very well cared for in all care and it explains very well what you have thank you all
A real butcher's shop
To be strongly discouraged if you care about the person
Pass hospital, incompetent doctor
I was taken in by ambulance after i was hit by a car. They checked me for spinal injury and sent me off leaving a second degree abrasion the size of a small pizza untreated.
And of course, no one spoke dutch.
I will tell you my story.
11 years ago, my brother was a patient in this hospital.
Unfortunately he is no longer with us ...
Only thing I can say, that some doctors are not human,
My brother was not welcomed because he was just a refugee.
You imagine, when a super sick person, who is a refugee, who hopes that one saves his life ...... and he faces this kind of doctors who are not human, some of them even racist !!
Today there is nothing I can do about it, my brother is no longer there.
PS: dear doctors, do not forget that you are there to do your job, and not to discriminate between people ... between "yours" and between refugees / foreigners who are sick.
Regards,
M. Davtyan
Too bad I have to put *, otherwise I will put nothing, at the beginning my husband presented himself to the emergency room for an ear infection and he said here it's 4 hours to wait but if you go to the meridian they take everything from you next we will call them, so we left and we arrived there a receptionist who speaks very poor French he said wait 2h30 because before your arrival we took other sick (5min), we had to go to consult elsewhere, and for me a pregnant woman with abdominal pain and cramps and died of fatigue, dizziness ... they send me an emergency doctor and when I tell him what he called the gynecology service and the surprise they say no we don't take it it's not an emergency woow she has jurisdiction, the day they send us the invoices I will go and file a complaint against them.
It's a leaky hospital
I go to the max of star it took in the service where I am neat found the good doctor NEURO, CARDIO, PNEUMO
FOR THE NEUROCHIRURGIAN, ORTHOPEDIST they are in another hospital but I follow them I'm too happy
Very good clinic, with an impeccable hospitalization, and a very professional staff.
Promt and professional, not too warm but spend only 4 hours in the ER, quickly done tests. I could speak in English, which I appreciate.
without organization or hygiene, rude nurse, we keep you 8 days for an intervention that lasts max. 3 days elsewhere. almost no stretcher bearers, get lost in this labyrinth ... no new data or doctor's visit ... clinic of misery ... and foul food.
Bloody blood taken, I am given a room and then I have to leave to leave the place so lack of space, I am very above the quality of services. Although very popular today, I have fond memories of their services.
I gave birth on March 22, 2019 and honestly as much at the birthing block as the maternity they are just beautiful the staff is really great! I would definitely stay here again !!
Very good personal experience very nice a little long wait for emergencies but cava all the staff is nice and kind
Very happy with childbirth, motherhood and neonate service. Staff really very friendly, responsive and who still takes the time to discuss with patients, so we do not feel like a simple number as in some hospitals.
Reception staff also very friendly.
Very good clinic. Professional, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Even though this clinic is further from my home than other hospitals, I always choose to go to Saint-Jean for the quality of the services and the cleanliness of the medical establishment.
Very bad impression because my dad was admitted to the emergency room alone and then would have left the hospital without further information. At 80 years old, being in a hospital where no one cares to warn the family and who also answers the phone: your dad left the emergency room without further explanation, even though he was admitted to treatment in a surgical unit ... even the police were unable to obtain information. Very very disappointed with this lack of humanity on the part of a Catholic hospital!
very poor communication between the services, with the family.
The staff will be happy not to help you. Slowness, disrespect and condescension are their oaths of hypocrites. Lack of empathy and staff skills To avoid. I strongly advise against Very bad experience.
Staff is very friendly but they did not know what was a supraventricual taquichardia, cardiac ablation and ondansetron. I said that I was allergic to a medicine and the doctor prescribed anyway and wanted me to take it. Reinforced that i was allergic and she said know.
They all spoke English, French and Spanish.
Accessibility not easy but overall infrastructure, staff etc. left me a good impression
90 year old woman who was rushed to wait hours and everyone who came in was served for her probably her age they don't care about older people unbelievable what I had to do as a son to know something about my mom who is full is in her mind, luckily she had nothing Broken, and she was back home, mother told that everyone passed her, 1 person gave her a bottle of water after a few hours, behind the radiography, that younger generation once thinks you are old , you do not understand or realize anything, to be avoided like the plague! And those learned people cannot speak a single word yet in Dutch.
Receptionist spoke English and was helpful.
ENT doctor was very efficient and diagnose the problem quickly after a barrage of tests. I left with a prescription and could breath again a 2 days later. He spoke English fluently.
happy to go back, if needed.
Hospital has been recently rerubished and is modern. They have cafe and resturant. It is located 1 min walk from metro station Rogier and easy access to central shopping areas in Brussels. There is a strange looking Starbucks opposite on Place Rogier.
Prompt and professional. They worked with me in English, which I appreciated. Cost was very reasonable.
Last Thursday I arrived in the Emergency Department at Saint-Jean Hospital with chest pain and headaches.
With each passing minute the pain intensified stronger and following I lost consciousness for a few seconds; I had a big headache;
Despite my condition, I remember very well the professional competence, vigilance, generosity, humanity of the entire team of nurses and doctors;
I would like to thank for their professionalism, excellent care and friendliness which they have shown to me and certainly also to other patients!
Thanks to them it is for the first time after three months when the pain has completely disappeared.
Big thanks !
Regards ,
Sofia nechifor
honestly a perfect emergency service and the staff of the prof. and human. a big thank-you
Appointment at 9 am .. I arrive at 8:35 am .... I am taken care of at .... a .... 11 am all of this while being the first patient of the day in MRI .... NO COMMENT.
The bald doctor at the emergency is a perfect incompetent coupled with rudeness and a lack of humanism. This is the kind of person who can tell a patient who can not go home, that it is not his problem, that she has to manage to go home herself.
I am an English only speaking Diplo based in Brussels that lives nearby. I went to ER on Saturday and the entire experience was excellent. Very professional, efficient, caring. Thank you Clinique Saint Jean.
Excellent clinic essential in the center of Brussels, very good pediatric service, all other services too. Excellent emergency service. Fortunately they are there
I was here with my daughter for a pre-planned operation at the gynecology department. The hospital exuded tranquility and the ward was nicely decorated and very neat. Friendly staff. The doctor gave sufficient and clear explanation. We were allowed to use the phone for free and were offered a bag of coffee while waiting. Great first experience with this hospital. The only downside: not all the staff are multilingual.
Clinic Saint-Jean ...... Super Employee
Super Clinic ..... Unbeatable !!!!
What kind of hospital ??? You go to hospital because of your migraine attack but you get okay? For one pain reliever you have to wait a few hours !!! Migraine has nothing to do with lungs !!! They still have to teach retarded people!
As a safety measure, the Polyclinic (= consultations) of the Clinique St-Jean will be closed this Monday, November 23, 2015 (including radiology and nuclear medicine).
Many thanks for the cancer services
Particularly to Doctor Cevic and Doctor Van Maell
And to this colleague in pet-scam (Ivan)
And to lucie and cevic
..... to be continued
We give you an appointment with a hand specialist at 3:30 p.m. and you go past 6 p.m.
No personal emergency service that makes fun of patients running away
Professional, kind personnel, clean environment. Easy to navigate, everybody is helpful. Even parking is easy.
