One of my favourite dress shops. I can always find something. Very friendly staff.

Awful experience from start to finish!

Followed around the shop being watched like some common criminal, utterly rude owner.

I wouldn t shop here if you paid me, seriously one to avoid.
The tat they sell isn t worth the price they charge or the hassle and unpleasant experience that goes with buying it

AFTER READING THE STORY BELOW ON FACEBOOK I HAD TO SHARE. MY MUM HAD DEMENTIA AND ITS A TERRIBLE AND UPSETTING DISEASE TO WATCH YOUR LOVED ONE GO THROUGH SO I AM APPALLED AT THIS AND WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN THE SHOP EVER AGAIN AND I HOPE MORE PEOPLE WILL DO THE SAME TO TEACH YOU A VALUABLE LESSON. IF ONLY ONE LESSON "COMPASSION"

My mum has dementia. She is warm friendly trusting & super glam. She loves clothes shopping. She has also lost the ability to work out figures costs & totals unfortunately. This causes havoc & my & my sis are often left with the task of returning unwanted goods. When explaining the circumstances to customer service people we are generally met with understanding & compassion. Today was on a whole new level. After searching for receipts amongst mums belongings for 2 items in a local boutique to exchange for a credit note (not even a refund!) I was told by the owner that they *have a 7 day proof of purchase policy & my receipt was a week too late *that he didn t care my mum had dementia & that *everyone else has dementia too (??! ) & that *MY attitude stinks that s my problem WOW left the shop items & receipts in hand crying humiliated & devastated
Thank you Mon Amie Studios customer service at its absolute worst. On another level. Never been treated or spoken to like that thank you for your understanding compassion & for bending the rules @DementiaUK @DementiaFriends #mymum #Wordsfailme

Beautiful clothes, they are designer though so expect a big price tag.

Went in last week only wanted a top. Bought coat two tops two pair of boots handbag and great pair of bodicon leggings. Staff were amazing so patient. Didnt feel pressured at all like ive read in some reviews definately be backx

One off sizes...love them ! Great choice, Good prices. Recommended.

I havent been to Mon Amie for a while, but I ventured in and bought 2 tops about 3 weeks ago, decided to return them this morning as although they were classed as one size, they were really too big and wide for me. I had kept them in my wardrobe, still with labels on, I got them out this morning to have another look, and actually discovered a hole in one of the tops, this made my mind up about returning them . The Owner asked if I had my receipt (which I did) he refused to exchange them for something else, as I'd had them over a week, that there were signs up everywhere! When I enquired where these signs were, he pointed to a very small one behind the tills!!!. The owner wasn't interested that there was damage to one of them. I won't be returning anytime soon. Buyer beware of their returns policy, which seems a bit unfair. Most clothing establishments offer 30 days if you should change your mind. I had my receipt and the items were in the same condition as when I bought them. Consumers rights don't seem to matter to this local business in the heart of the community. I wasn't asking for a refund. Not happy

Fantastic designer kids clothes! Lovely spacious shop with fun things to keep the kids entertained! They also do great ladies wear, from day to day outfits, to really special party dresses.. Was very difficult to get the wife out!!!

Brilliant range of clothes all personally chosen by the very friendly Joel. The great staff here will give you recommendations and are very honest

Fabulous shop , fabulous staff , many who have worked at Mon Amie for years and are great ideas people . Joel himself has a tremendous eye for clothes and a talent for picking items to make women feel a million dollars without the big price tag . You could go to this shop knowing what you want and find it ... alternatively if you had a function in mind , either business / casual or glam to attend Joel and the girls will pick out things just right for you ! If you want to go in and do your own thing and browse then you can do just that and ask for assistance if you need it . A 5 star experience!

Really enjoyed the visit. It was a horrible cold day outside and the owner made me a cup of tea. Was looking for something a bit different for forthcoming events. I thought I would struggle to get a larger size. The lady who helped choose my clothes was fab and picked me out some lovely sparkly outfits. No hard sell either. Very patient. Love my new clothes and will be back. The clothes fit beautifully

I like shopping here if I need something special for myself or my daughter.

All fine.. Was able t search for my requirements. Easy access to changing room. Hand sanitizer on arrival.

I tried shopping for both myself and my Children's clothes but simply could not concentrate on the items or browse freely without the constant harassment from the owner (apparently) and staff , badgering is probably a better description !! What is wrong with these people ? Shopping is supposed to be a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Their questions were not helpful but intrusive, the literal throwing of clothes at me was not appreciated and the invasion of personal space and the hard sell was beyond pressure. Grotty is a fair account of the shop and it was like an iceberg in there ,the damp smell was profound, have they not heard of heating ?! . In all my years shopping never was i bombarded with such a sales tactic as this, clothing was average at best but it comes nowhere near as inviting as its cover photo. First and last time coming here, my advice ,avoid the shop at all cost and think yourself lucky to having avoided the greasy little fat man with the 80's ponytail, he's no advertisement. Big disappointment .

The girls are always so helpful, .cant do enough for you and always truthful.

Went there last week with my daughter and grandchild but will not return.

We found staff very pushy and rude.

No patience in the children's department.....in their words 'we are a shop not a creche' when my grandson was getting a little restless. He is by no means a loud, rude or boisterous child.

There are shop where you like to go shopping and this is one of them you get treat like they could spend the day on you seeing what fits and if it suits you or not The sales assistant are wonderful in there and they make sure you will look like your a million dollars going out of the shop door thank you

Excellent service as always, have shopped here for many years always find something lovely. A lovely mixture of modern designers and beautiful traditional pieces also lots of bargins

This shop has wonderful staff who will help you ....if you want to be assisted..nothing is too much trouble for Joel.s Angelsx the clothes can be bought from very fair prices and a hot drink abd biscuit is always available.
