I m live in New York queens
My opinion this place 1st in my mind
I m 30 years snowboarder
Excellent place to ski in the close proximity of Fairfield county of CT. We selected a night package (4 pm to 10 pm) which was a good value for money. For USD 49 per head we got the night package which includes admission, rentals for the kit (helmets alone costs 13 extra) and a lesson by a tutor who helped us ski for the first time. Since we have ample sunlight these days in March we were able to ski in the natural bright light till about 6 pm after which they turned on the flash lamps and lit up the whole place. The staff were very listening and courteous too. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
Certainly Connecticuts best and most affordable ski mountain resort.
Wonderful place! Very quiet and has good facilities! Not the tallest mountain but has a pretty decent range of blues and blacks. Not a great place if you re a beginner however, they don t have many slopes for you.
They have the best seasonal rental program, this is my second season renting with them, there are great facilities and the staff is super knowledgable and helpful. Dont like somthing about the equipment that you have rented, rest assured that they got you covered to make sure your experiences is 100%

A few runs into my day and my boot breaks . They gave me a voucher for a future day of skiing. Very nice here .
Been skiing at Mohawk for 50+ years.
I miss the pine Forest that was leveled by tornado.
Night hawk is the way to go. Great slope and training provided is great
Friendly staff and lesson classes for all ages .... Great fun..
It's okay for family or begginers, if you're lile me, want to learn tricks and hit jumps well... you're going to be creative. But still lots of fun and I usually stay for 4-7 hours.
Honestly the best experience I've had in the New England Region. The mountains were very well kept. It was a really fun and enjoyable experience. The staff was extremely friendly. Jimmy was very helpful and super accommodating to help my friend and I as we were new. The rentals were also very clean and like I had my own. We also stopped at the cafe and again the staff was very friendly and sweet. My friend actually hurt herself ( hadn't snowboarded in 5 years) and Wilson was extremely helpful, made sure she was okay of course. However he built her confidence to make her feel safe so that she could continue and she did! Not only the staff that was working was helpful, even the ones not were as well, Hunter was off duty and took the time to help me navigate the slopes and even road with me on the lift to help me find my friend. Overall an amazing experience and I definitely encourage anyone an every one to go. I'm definitely going back as soon as I can.
Great for families and first time skiers and snowboarders. Friendly staff, great mountain, and WiFi is there because cell service isn t so great.
Great mtn. for just skiing all day and having a great time. Some trails are rather large and challenging, with enough trails to make it seem like a decent sized mtn. Recommend it for intermediate skiers. Very fun!
A nice place to spend time with your kids. This was my second time in 3 weeks to ski Mohawk and the conditions were great on both weekends we were there. Not as big as Blue Mountain, PA but good enough for my kids. If you have kids and want to spend a lot of time with them skiing, then this is your place. A lot closer to NYC too.
Highly Recommended.
There is No Better snowmaking or Grooming any were !!! THE BEST !!
Amazing place to ski and have a good time..Every single employee was very professional and helpful.I will definitely come back and recommend this place to my friends
Friendly staff! Great snowmaking and grooming. Wonderful family oriented ski area! Ski school is well run and produces great results!
Nice people, nice slopes, fast equiptment rental. 2 rentals and 1 lift ticket 159.00 for 4 hrs. Not cheap.
Great for a weekday trip to get away for a few hours.
The service for renting equipment and getting your ski pass is extremely efficient and quick! The trails are great for every level from beginner to expert.
Two great days of skiing last Sunday amd Monday. Perfect conditions and plenty of base left. Too bad season ends here on Easter Sunday.
Great area for ski in the winter time, good service, a little pricey.
Very cool place! It reminds me of a ski resort in an 80's movie...not that that's a bad thing. We took the kids (6 and 10) to their snowtubing area and they had a blast! Weekday rates for tubing are very affordable for a family.
Superb place for skii....their easier trail is very basic for beginners even you might get bored but their easy trails are difficult for novices so watch out
A great, small ski moutain for a day trip or a longer stay. Would recommend to novice skiers.
Staff are always extremely helpful. The snow is maintained better than any resort I've ever been to...
A nice place to hike around in the summer, with wild rugged beauty.
Whistler this isn't. But last winter I made the drive many times from the coast to get my then 4 year old grand daughter started skiing and Mohawk couldn't be a better for that. Nice gentle terrain at the base and a friendly lodge. This year we'll be trying the ski lessons as my legs are tired of skiing backwards down the mountain in front of my grand daughter. Great mountain for beginners.
The kindest and most helpful staff ever! Thank you so much Carol, Dave, Steve and Matt, we're definitely coming back!!
I request that you please change your name to Mohawk Hill, Thank you.
This is a great place to spend a few hours skiing or learning to ski. The staff is so pleasant and the terrain is fun.
Great place for families. I taught both my kids to ski there. And we have been going for the past six years. It is convenient, less than 40 minutes door to door and far better than anything offered in the area. Can't wait to go tomorrow!
It is great! the tracks are really cool! people are nice! the rental are of high quality! I definitely recommend this place
Fun day. Was a little crowded but not bad. They are a well oiled machine. Nice runs and the snow was great, fluffy anf not icy or choppy. Had a great day!
Fun family mountain, especially mid-week when you can save money and avoid any lines.
Wonderful, great place for family fun skiing and snowboarding!
Just started riding this hill for the first time this season. I put in 30-35 trips a season in, and I gotta tell you, for beginners this place is spot on. And for us advanced type, GREAT hill to workout on. I highly recommend it, while in season of course.
Great experience at this place!! People are very polite and the ski slopes are super fun! Thanks to Jim and the people that work there to make this experience more enjoyable and more fun.
Was doing a catering job a wedding ceremony for Rodney on old times restaurant in NorwichMohawk mountain ski area was beautiful staff there was very pleasant and helpful stopped at a little country store down the road like being in Vermont had a great sandwich great chili everything homemade it's like going back in time and taking a minute when back to the lodge great time book your next party at Mohawk ski area
Really nice place, used to ride here years ago when they were one of the few places that allowed snowboarding. Not the biggest mountain or fastest chairlifts, but definitely a great place to go to relax and enjoy the slopes!
Fun day tubing and hanging in the lodge! Recommended for a day out with the kids.
Small mountain, but with that comes the benefit of short lines and small crowds. Rental crew are absolutely top notch, great experience. Tubing was also surprisingly fun!
We had such an amazing day despite the imperfect weather. The staff was super friendly, helpful and accommodating, especially our instructor, Connor. We will definitely be back!!
Love this place! Mohawk is a classic old New England ski area with great trails that wind around and use the terrain well to create a fun experience. They're narrow and well sheltered and tend to hold snow well. Speaking of snow they make a ton of it! Snowmaking was invented here back in the late 1940's and they do it very well so the conditions are almost always acceptable even if the weather hasn't been conducive to good ski conditions. If you haven't been here yet you owe it to yourself to go check it out, if you have been here you should go back
Best mountain for beginners and kids! Very family friendly. Come back every year!
Mountain is a little small but it is CT still my favorite in state
Mohawk is a Great Family place to ski, they make awesome snow!
Absolutely amazing. Trails for all levels. Very organized. Would definitely go back!!
Great hot chocolate! Unfortunately no skiing for me
Mohawk Mtn has made awesome snow and groomed so well that it has been better skiing than up north in 2020! Excellent experience!
A long awaited experience, and very glad we decided to have it at Mohawk Mt. Definitely recommend for any first timers. The crew there were very helpful from helping us find the right boot fit, to the excellent patience during our lesson by "Saint Nick", and then helping us get out of the boots :)
Thanks to all the crew for making our first time a memorable experience!
Great little ski area. I was greeted as i walked in to a woman that was extremely helpful to figure out what i need how much it will cost and all the events coming up. I hope to go to there glow event feb. 1st it sounded like a bunch of fun. Theres tubing as well as all three levels of skiing difficulties. And the mohawk mountain is a gorgeous place to be. The only thing that was bad was the muddy parking lot very easy to get your car stuck. And the bathrooms could have been cleaner.
A tiny bit above average at best nothing special the food is pretty good the lifts take to long trails are very basic though they do work hard with the limited snow to make sure basicly every trail is open which i like its good for begginers but once you conquer that level go to hunter or windham
Amazing staff and great facilities. The perfect weekend trip from the city. I'm surprised that there aren't more people coming here, but I'm not going to complain about not having to wait for the lift!
Pros - Great staff and crowd. It barely takes any time to get onto the slopes and start snowboarding.
Cons - We didn't get a season pass thinking it would be a hassle to get here from NYC. We were wrong and next year will make sure to get the pass.
Small, but well run. A family-friendly mountain, for sure. Great ski-school and race training programs! Experienced skiers, there's nothing really challenging on the whole mountain.
A side note, this place invented the snowmaking process. Cool!
Great mountain, especially for beginner to intermediate skiers.
Great for a one day trip! a lot of snow and good tracks
I learned to ski here, it's a lot of fun, especially on the weekdays when there aren't too many people around!
Mohawk mtn did a great job of accomodating our large group for the day. There were excellent conditions for skiing and everyone had an awesome time.
Some incredible people work there. We had a blast and are definitely coming again.
Nice ride on the motorcycle would love to see the view in the fall!
Great place!!! Never closer to nature will you feel hiking or walking around. Very clean picnic areas... very well maintained walking paths. Everyone I encountered was very pleasant and extremely helpful. Park rangers have multiple stations on site.
