Dudes....I had an awesome experience buying a Tundra from Modesto Toyota. I travel the 22 western states doing large construction projects. I needed a reliable truck with people who stand behind their product. So far, Modesto Toyota has done just that. I did not have time to go here & there shopping around. I did it on the internet, it was fast, very painless (even for a computer stupid person like me). Rick Moncrief, left me with the feeling.....I will buy my next car/truck here. I like the way I have been treated.

I have been taking my car to be serviced at Modesto Toyota since 2009. Their customer service has been serriously declining in the past few years. They take forever to do an oil change and some of the employees are just rude. The time before last, I tried to make an oil change I was turned away (no time). I eventually was able to make an apt only for them to take FOREVER. Even after I paid and they were bringing my car up it must have been a 20 min wait!
This week I tried to make another apt for my oil change and after dealing with there online apt site, received a VM from them with a changed time. I tried to call back and was transfered 4 times because no one knew who left the message. When I finally got a hold of someone I canceled the apt they set up (since it was not what I requested online and could not make it) and tried to make a new one...Which I ended up not makeing because the person was rude and not very intelligent.
I used to be impressed with the service I received. Now after the past year of horriable experiences I am done dealing with them. I would not recomend Modesto Toyota Service Department to anyone.

Modesto Toyota had great selection on Camry's for us to shop through. Youbert made our car buying experience so easy and stress free. All we had to do was come down, test drive, and sign papers. He had the car that we chose detailed and ready for us when we arrived! Highly recommend Youbert and Modesto Toyota, we will be back in the future.

Andrew found the vehicle I was looking for. When it arrived he and his team went through it with a fine toothed comb making it as good as new. We came today to pick it up, the excellent service continued: loan qualification, financing, the works. Within a short period of time I was on my way home behind the wheel of my dream car. I cannot recommend Modesto Toyota enough whether you are looking for a new or used vehicle.

We are so happy with our car. Even though it is used, it is super clean inside and out. We feel confident that the Toyota product is a vehicle that will provide years and miles of worry free driving! Everyone we dealt with during the purchase process was professional and friendly.

Had a airbag recall, they made it as smooth and pleasant as possible.

Joseph was very accommodating to what we wanted in a vehicle and his customer service was amazing. The staff were friendly and were very informative. Modesto Toyota has raised the standard of customer service and I'm looking forward to buying a vehicle from them again in the future.

Allen the sales manager is a complete jerk and very unprofessional! My sister went in to purchase her first car and they tried so hard to take serious advantage of her. From the beginning we let him know we were looking for the best deal he can offer. When we rejected his offer he completely rolled his eyes at us and asked if we wanted to take a picture of the car quote sarcastically then walked off.

FYI, toyota sales reps are know for adding on optional packages to the car being financed without you even asking. i.e. dent pro, extended warranty, etc. They will present you with an estimated monthly payment for X amount of months and never disclose what is exactly that is being calculated in that monthly payment.

Absolutely awful experience. Came here with my girlfriend and family to help her find a car. The sales rep didn't know where any vehicle on the lot was, and didn't know much about the vehicles we were interested in. I was responsible for explaining the features and abilities of the vehicle she chose, and we were not shown any other options despite displaying interest in other choices. The only positive side was the financial department who was friendly and explained everything, but I think I'm going to have to talk my girlfriend out of buying another Toyota after this experience. It was brutal.

Josh (Service Advisor) at Modesto Toyota is a class act. I previously would never take my car to the dealership due to prices. However, they are always willing to price match local dealers and the service I have experienced has been above and beyond (for both of my Toyotas). My perception of this dealership has changed drastically and I would highly recommend them to anybody.

It just takes a long time to service a car.

I had an emergency need for a wheel lock "key" in that mine had vanished.
All personnel associated with the purchase of a new set of wheel locks and key were extremely helpful. Five stars all the way around. Replacement of my current wheel locks and installation of the new ones was handled in record time.

Service was always good, but one day I had to wait more than 2 hours for the shuttle. Guys, if you bother to provide a shuttle service, you need to do something to keep track of that thing to provide professionals an ETA. Your friendly and professional service saved you from a 2 star review, but only barely.

not happy felt used, Everytime i go in there the salesman is wonderful and encouraging to sell but the main manager is greedy and makes you feel like you are an ATM ***every time it is **I need this many thousand to make it work, went across the street an bought a HYUNDAI and the staff there was remarkable, they made the process so easy as it should be. BC they want to sell a car. Modesto Toyota main manager has always been the same for the last few years.

I brought my Corolla in for first time service. I made an appointment for 9:00am. The service involved a multi-point inspection and tire rotation. I got there early and waited over 3 hours. I thought the wait time was excessive. When I owned Fords from Big Valley Ford in Stockton, they did multi-point inspection, tire rotation, oil change, and they usually got me out in about an hour to an hour an half. One time they had my car ready in 45 minutes. Modesto Toyota can take a lesson on prompt customer service.

Love Modesto Toyota and Service Dept. The only thing I would change is there service counter area to close to doors and when there is a lot of people it is confusing.

I recently purchased a Toyota Tacoma at Modesto Toyota. I had a very good experience at Modesto Toyota. Everyone that I had dealings with during the purchasing process were very knowledgeable, curtious and professionals in their positions at this dealership. I feel I got a fair trade in price and a good purchase price on my Tacoma. Everyone from the salesman to the sales manager to the finance department were very helpful with the whole process. Need to speed up time to get services. A lot of people standing around. It should not take a hour and a half to get a oil change. With an appointment. I don't understand why if you have a appointment and it is more than a hour after your appointment maybe you need more techs on the weekends most people work during the week and can't get in.

Today 2/13/2020, I received service from Bib Bauman I purchased dash broad covers. Thus employee was so rude an unhelp. He told go "go to your car with this color chart and see which color match your car"! No type of assistance. As I walked into my automobiles to exit the building I came across an employee by the name of Travis who assisted me with kindness, a smile, patience, and professionalism unlike Bob Bauman! Sad. The poorest customer service ever! 0/5 rating! Lazy

Made a service appointment for my boss, they confirmed. When he went to take his truck in, they didn't have him on the schedule. Now trying to make a new appointment and they say the system is down. Making me look bad when in fact it is their service department receptionist who is completely incompetent. That's disappointing, Toyota.

To start off, I wish I never bought my vehicle from Modesto Toyota. I went here to trade my Corolla that I originally purchased at Tracy Toyota, for a small SUV. The sales rep. who helped us knew nothing about the vehicle we were interested in. We wanted it anyways because we knew about the SUV. The sales rep. spent most of his time on his cell phone and did not even bother making any conversation with us while we waited for finance. Finance was another story. Samuel helped us. We came to an agreement on a bank along with the the term and interest rate. One month later when I received the first bill I notice the bank was Wells Fargo. That was not the bank we had agreed on. Samuel did not even bother to give me a courtesy call to let me know or give me other options. On top of that, he said the extra warranty we purchased was full bumper to bumper coverage. It was not. The service department is not any different. I had to take our vehicle there over 5 times for the same issue because they can't seem to listen to the customer in regards to the problem. I love Toyota vehicles because they are highly reliable, however, I will not be doing anymore business with Modesto Toyota, nor will I recommend any family or friend to purchase any service or vehicle with them. I recommend going to Tracy Toyota. They have great service.

This service department was great! Josh Young was my service advisor and he was very courteous and was going be able to accommodate my requests for a shuttle ride at a certain time. Luckily my vehicle was done sooner than promised. It was also great to find out that the service department is open on weekends!

Modesto Toyota is great. They took care of my car recall without charging me diagnostic fees. My car was rained on and dirty when I picked it up BUT I'm still happy as I spent money unnecessarily at Big O Tires to have my transmissions flushed and special treated when all I needed was a recall covered torque converter!

I purchase a used Mazda from Modesto Toyota. My salesman Xavier did a good job taking care of my needs. His manager, Alan was easy to work with. Used Car manager Andrew was also pleasant to work with.

After the sale, I had an issue with the windshield which was replaced upon my request.

All and all, I had a great buying experience at Modesto Toyota. Huge selection, great sales team, great "after the sale" service

While i waited for my car i found a new friend. It was a relaxing time. Modesto Toyota is a busy place but the people who work there are very patient and courteous.

I don't understand why all the prices are higher than any other dealership. The people in the service department also lack knowledge about the products and don't know how to repair things. Having to wait 13 hours for an oil change is ridiculous

Felipe from sales was amazing to work with and found me exactly what I was looking for. Ben from finance was nice and easy to work with. I left with exactly the payment I was hoping for.

I was extremely impressed with the knowledge, personability, and quality of service I received at Modesto Toyota. Khalil was fabulous and was determined that I would not just understand the parts of the car, but during the test drive he ensured that I felt extremely confident in the way the vehicle would handle a variety of situations. He listened to what was important to me and provided options for me. Khalil was very knowledgeable, answered my questions and I couldn't have asked for more.

Judy, in Finance, was also great to work with and provided a very easy and clear explanation as I completed the purchase.

I was incredibly pleased with the price of the vehicle and the financing Toyota offered. I know I've purchased a quality car that will last and I couldn't have asked for a better experience thanks to Khalil, Judy and the great Detail Team!

About a year and a half ago I was with my husband while he was shopping for a new truck at Modesto Toyota. While most of the staff we encountered were friendly, the salesman who assisted us in the lot was rude and unprofessional towards me. He made blatantly inappropriate and sexist comments whenever my husband was out of earshot (assumptions regarding my income and employment status, and generally degrading remarks). In contrast, when talking to my husband he was quite upbeat, polite, and even somewhat helpful.

It was clear that he believed I did not have the financial resources to purchase a new vehicle from him so it was not worth his time to be decent to me (to be fair I should have been flattered to be mistaken as a teenager instead of a financially independent adult). Plus, everyone knows women can't drive so why would I need a car?

Ironically enough I happened to be in the market for a new car around that time and shockingly enough I didn't buy it from them.

After we left I told my husband about his behavior and we informed one of the customer service reps in the dealer ship of our experience. They were very apologetic and polite in response to our experience.

Not sure if that salesman still works there, but because of his complete and total lack of professionalism it is unlikely that I would ever be inclined to purchase a vehicle from them. To be fair, there seemed to be a number of polite sales reps at Modesto Toyota, but that is not who I dealt with and I cannot in good conscience give higher than a 1 star rating based on my personal experience.

Sales people and finance personnel we're helpful and did all they could to make this so easy. Bought our new 2019 Corolla in under two hours. Thanks to Frederico and Sargon for all there help and thanks to Alan for his hard work to get us approved. Thank you guys

We picked what we wanted online and it was waiting for us when we arrived. Jesus Haro worked with us to get us the best price, synced my phone to the vehicle, and has been available to assist with a couple of tech things that confused me.

Hardly a place to get a good deal, for those that are into getting good deals go online and research atleast 4 different Toyota dealers and I gurantee you will make a better deal at Elk Grove, or Stockton or Merced Toyota

It all started when I was crashed into and lost my beloved Chevrolet Sonic. I needed a car immediately for school and work and decided to take a look at the used cars in the dealerships on Mchenry. I was really interested in something under 10k (HA!). So I called over my two best friends and like the three musketeers we went along on our journey to find me a good car.
I stepped into Modesto Toyota in hopes of some options and I was quickly approached by a salesman.
All the employees were extremely helpful and tolerated us very well. From laughter to more laughter everything went swell and I thank Carlos and Ricky for all the help. I was able to get approved quickly and my payments weren't so bad considering the factors.

Bought a new Tundra with a leaking rear tire. Made an appointment at the service center. After 3 hours waiting I'm still here . Dunno how long it's gonna be.

Phones almost dead, didn't bring a book. . I just need a new tire on my 3 week old truck.... Should this be expected on from Modesto Toyota. ??

I grew up in Modesto and my family and I have always steered clear of this dealership when we buy new cars. My mom loves their service department so after you buy a Toyota from somewhere else, feel confident you will get decent service then. First, the sales process always feels like they're trying to get one over on you. We had a pleasant experience on the lot but once we went inside to talk numbers, the shadiness went into full force. I can see through all of their gimmicks typically and when I say something that's contrary to what they're saying, they back down real quick. My day job is heavily focused on numbers so I don't like it when people try to lie to me and act like I'm unaware. We got our car appraised by another dealer and had that to negotiate with, and Modesto Toyota actually came back with a higher price (after they low-balled us). I'm pretty methodical and don't like to rush into things, so the salesperson definitely didn't like that. "We'll give you this price right now." I wanted to research other dealers and see their prices before I committed- maybe they're not used to this. We then learned about the Costco auto program. PEOPLE IF YOU'RE BUYING A NEW CAR- GO THROUGH COSTCO. WE'RE SAVING A COUPLE GRAND DOING THIS!!! Even if you don't have a membership now, it is well worth it to pay the $55 to save $2-3K. And I think this is why we aren't getting the original attention we got before- there's not as much incentive to sell to us when you're commission is lower. We've been waiting a month to find our car or get it built. We got it all set up to order it with all of our desired details and 2 weeks later, the request still hasn't been submitted. This is incredibly frustrating because it takes 6-8 weeks to get the final product. We are now pushed back to after new years. We wanted to take the truck to the snow after Xmas, but now won't have the truck in time, so won't be able to make that family trip. To wrap up my story, we contacted Costco and were routed to another dealership. My dad tried buying a car from Modesto Toyota a few years ago and got so fed up he ended up driving to the bay area and buying it at Dublin Toyota. We would really like to keep our dollars local but when a dealership is as bad as Modesto Toyota, we are forced to go elsewhere.

I have had mixed experiences at Modesto Toyota, but this last visit with Kyna was excellent! She was helpful and attentive the entire visit, keeping me posted with what was happening with my auto. I plan to work with her with anything I need in the future!
