Arrogant sales people who do not want to help you with anything to do with a used car. They need to drop the attitude they're selling Toyota's not the crown jewels of the Queen of England.
Yesenia was really great at keeping us informed and answering questions we had over the phone and through text. Jesus, at first, seemed a little put off, as if I was wasting his time because I mentioned we might be going to Livermore Toyota (though it could have been because it was 100+ degrees outside... We were also pretty grouchy...), but he became friendly and helpful, helped us pick out and test drive cars, and helped us get a good deal. The signing process was also quick and easy, and they even have high-tech tables that the contracts are displayed on, and you can sign them right there, no long, tedious printing process necessary. This was a pleasant change from the last time I purchased from Modesto Toyota about 8 years ago, which which wasn't pleasant at all. I'm glad to see our local Toyota dealership has changed so much since then. I'd recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a Toyota.

Once again Modesto Toyota has provided me with the best service I've had at any car dealer ever..... and I've had quite a few over the years. Eric Ramirez was very efficient, pleasant and professional explaining what would be done, and the followup cal the next day from Nicole Morales was a very nice touch. They had my car in and out in the time promised. On a previous visit for routine service I had road tar on one of the door panels. Not only did they remove that without charge, but washed the entire vehicle. I'm very impressed with this dealership and their service department and can't say enough good things about them. Oh, and their recent remodeling has made it so much easier for me since it is difficult for me to walk very far. Great job folks!

The place is really nice and makes you feel like you're at home. The salesman Louis was extremely kind and polite. If it wasn't for the Finance Manager who couldn't take no for an answer, I would have rated this place 5 stars. If you're dealing with customers, I would recommend somebody with better charisma and not a no means yes mentality. Next time I deal with a finance manager I'll make it clear from the start what I want and what I don't want. It would have saved him his breath and 10 minutes of my time.

Never will I ever purchase a car from Modesto Toyota! Their service is horrible. They over charge for their service and don't explain clearly what was done. I called for some input on an issue I was having with my car and they couldn't be bothered. Wanted me to tow my car to their location, but need to make an appointment first. I work and go to school and need my car. I can't just drop everything! All I wanted was someone to answer a question! Guess it's time to trade in my car... since it is paid off.
These guys always take care if me. The facilities are great, love the coffee and tea. The only issue is appointments are too far in the future. Wish we had another Toyota dealership nearby to ease the congestion. Great customer service and no pushy salesmen to annoy you!

If you have a trade avoid this place. They offer you far less then other dealerships in the area. They do have a nice selection of cars which is why I gave then 3 stars but they can't give you the same prices bigger dealerships can offer you.
My husband and I had a great experience. Highly recommend this particular Toyota location over all others in the Northern California area. We were looking for a very specific car and they had the best selection. We didn t feel pressured to at all and were given all options possible. Mike Wilson in the Service Department is the Best..Has been taking care of us for over 20 years...but the guy that checks in the vehicles in the mornings is very very rude with an attitude...seems like he doesn t want to be there.

Dealing with Sales and Finance Department was a relief. Time spent was much quicker than in past purchases of Toyota Vehicles. That is really appreciated! All persons involved in the transaction were very professional. Especially Youbert Amirah, he explained the Bluetooth, apps etc. He had our vehicle tank filled with gas etc., he is very well informed and we appreciate his assistance.
WAY OVERPRICED selection of used Toyotas. I understand that Toyotas keep their value, which is one reason I bought a Toyota before, but their prices of some of their used Toyotas are thousands above market value, and they act like I'm the dumb one, and I didn't do my homework and don't know what I'm talking about...very insulting! And 8 years earlier I'd bought my Toyota Highlander from them. You'd think they'd treat a repeat customer with more respect. They insisted the vehicle in question was aggressively priced...it would be I'd it were the highest trim level (the "Limited' trim), as was my Highlander, but they were selling a base trim level vehicle at a price only competitive with Limited trim vehicles of the same year and model. And the sales person, who was brand new, insisted I was mistaken. NOT ONLY THAT, the first salesman I dealt with took me to see the vehicles I was interested in, and after I picked one to test drive, he left me there, way out in the far end of the parking lot, because he had an appointment with a potential buyer. He told me to go back to the sales office and someone would get the keys for me. He didn't call the office and tell them he was sending me and someone should get the keys for me, he just abandoned me. When I went back to the sales office, no one was available. I got a coffee, and a hot chocolate for my daughter, and we waited. After 15 minutes, I started wondering the showroom, looming for an office with a person in it. I finally found someone and asked for him to set me up with someone who could take me for a test drive, and he was horrified that I'd been left in the car lot like that. So much so, that he brought me to a wall that had all the sales team's photos, and asked me to identify the man who'd abandoned me without calling for someone else to assist me. I felt bad pointing him out because I didn't want to get him in trouble, even though he was a moron. The second man to help me out was fine, except he knew nothing about the true/actual competitive price. He just gave his schpeel about how their cars are priced competitively, and it's a "no haggle price," and they come up with it through a computer algorithm, so the price is what it is, and it's most certainly competitive. So we left. He called me the next day to follow up, and I told him that I've been shopping for this particular year and model, and I know for a fact his base model is over priced. He said, "so you're saying it's priced too high for your budget." I corrected him and told him again it's priced higher than equivalent cars that are even 2 and 3 years newer. He repeated that he believed the issue was that the car was out of my price range. It was almost unbelievable. I thought I must not be speaking English. I became irate, and told him off, and he hasn't contacted me again, yet he still believes that I just couldn't afford his grose base model. Funny thing is, 1.5 months later, I still see his stupid vehicle for sale...no one is going to buy it at that price...not just me, "the poor single mom who can't afford his car." As if!! I would have been very happy to buy from Modesto Toyota again, as my experience buying my CPO Highlander LIMITED was very very good. But after I was treated poorly twice in one interaction, and they hadn't even run my financials yet. They could have sold me on a vehicle $10K more than the one I was looking at, but they treated me so poorly, I would never buy from them again. There's many Toyota dealerships out there, and it's very easy to drive 15 miles further and deal with people,who want your business.

Wow! What a wonderful experience. The customer service at Modesto Toyota is obviously a priority for them as it was exceptional. From the receptionist who answered the phone, to the sales staff and manager Mike Green who helped us purchase our truck literally over the phone, the amazing Sashi who greeted us with a smile when we arrived and had our truck washed, filled with gas, and ready for a test drive when we arrived, to your finance department who helped to get everything signed off, and to the detail staff who was there until 10:00 pm detailing our truck so we could take it home that evening.

Called ahead and made an appointment for service on my vehicle, arrived to a packed service room and was told it would be a three hour wait for an oil change even though I had an appointment. Why even bother setting up appointments if you're going to take everyone in who shows up? I don't understand how you could run a business like that. If I didn't have a pre-paid service contract, I would've left and gone somewhere else. Poor planning.

Really just drove by it. Didn't even go in the parking lot.
I took my Highlander in for 120,000 mile service. They rotated the tires, and were supposed to check one tire for a slow leak. They told me they tightened the valve stem and checked the tire but there was nothing visible.
One week later, the tire was low again. I took it to America's Tire on Standiford and they found a nail in 10 seconds of visual inspection.
I told Toyota I was about to drive my family out of state and I needed to assure the cars safety. I was foolish to trust them.
To top it off, I drive for Uber and Lyft. I gave over 130 rides to customers over the following week. I need a safe car and I go the extra mile to assure my passengers safety and comfort
It's too bad Toyota doesn't care. They jeopardized the safety of a lot of people.
Do not trust this service department. The counter staff tells you what you want to hear, and the service staff simply doesn't do the job. Lies and unsafe service deserve a 1 star review.
Ashur Paulus and Paulo Guzman at Modesto Toyota did an excellent job in helping my husband and I find the perfect car. They listened to exactly what we wanted, allowed us to test drive whichever vehicle we were looking at and all without the pressure of having to purchase something right then and there. We were so pleased with the service that we decided to get two new cars that same visit!
They have a large lounge room with vending machines and free coffee machines. As well, there is a shuttle service offered. Very friendly.
