Amazing global airport. Staff is respectful , friendly and informative. All the required facilities. However, they need to increase charging ports (power portal for mobile phones and laptops). Also, to revise the prices of food and drinks at the lounge to be comparable with Malaysian living cost. Not to high difference. The exchange currency rate differs from one shop to another at the same airport?!?
Massive airport with an enormous number of shops. Operations are well streamlined with all the modern facilities. Staff may not be as polite as in Japan, but can give a decent rating. Wing shuttles are operated to reach to certain gates and the required information could be obtained via the information desk or the notice boards. Lounges are well maintained and spread across a wide area.
Nice airport but chicken rice shop and taste india curry shop are not offering so nice dishes

Word of warning to photographers, if you have any Allen keys in your carry on bag security will not allow you to board the plane with them. Had mine taken away as they were considered tools even though they were tiny being less than 10cm long and were only usable for attaching an l bracket and to tighten the tripod legs
Today 1st time after covid attack and it seams that few shop are move out from KLIA2 and deserted like hell.. Few planes and destination only.. Our country economy is at risk from our government that don't know what to do right now.. Still -ve in economic achievement

One of the worst airports, hot and stuffy and humid everywhere. Not comfortable at all. At immigrations counter, they did not let my wife accompany my 11 year old daughter to the counter.
Clean, palatial and elegant! Loved the infrastructure.
Free Wi-Fi is good throughout the airport. However, the long wait at the immigration queue is a big disappointment. Not all the counters were opened and passengers have to queue up to one hour.

KLIA is a fine and busy airport. With the place being a central hub for tourists and connection flights, it runs smoothly and usually won't be too crowded/slow. You'll find a nice park in the gates which you should check out before your flight.

Very very big airport. Lots of airlines have this as their transit hub. Very busy airport. Well maintained and information desk is helpful. Lots of shops for food and drinks.
Its special thing is little Jungle Theme. And Also monorail ride is good.

Used to be one of the top airport after Changi and Hong Kong but this airport is getting old, crowded, non systematic and un organised. Arriving in the busy hours at 4pm, there are not enough automatic people mover to transfer arriving passengers from satellite to main building, and the some of us had to separated into different line and queue up for buses instead. Long queue at immigration but wait wasn t too long. Signage also very bad. Not a good first impression of Malaysia.

KLIA.1 and KLIA.2 are one of the best airport services in Asia.
For me the experience was nice,well maintained. Can get a temporary phone SIM within the airport. Friendly staff and people. Immigration line was not too big, hardly waited for 15min. for my turn in the queue.

Large airport very well organised. As a foreign passport holder the number of security booths open were ample, the wait time was not long and we were humanely greeted by the immigration officer. We did not feel intimidated as you sometimes feel going to US and other countries
Toilets are clean and plenty, lots of shops, reminded me of Copenhagen airport which I use to travel to often

Good airport but shocking exlerience at a resturant called noodles located near royal selangor. The indians behind the counter are racist towards other indians or people with dark skin. Expect to be ignored if there is a white person standing behind you. Absolute disgrace would not say sorry or give me their name.
The airport security treated us like criminals when we passed the baggage inspection. They scolded and showed unfriendly gestures to us. transit here twice and got the same treatment.
There is a variety of pros and cons that they need to address given how they are a famous tourist destination.we had a pleasant experience nevertheless.

If you are at the airport around 11:30pm, better call Grab instead of going for taxi because there's going to be a long queue due to limited taxi around this hour.
Most taxi drivers are waiting for passengers who booked taxi after 12 midnight with 50% higher rates.
Book Grab instead of waiting for such "professional" taxi drivers. Welcome to Malaysia.
What a delightfully clean and modern airport. I loved it. Well laid out. Good signage, colourful, clean toilets. I'd give 5 stars if it weren't for lack of toilets in our departure lounge area. There was only a ambulant (handicap) one available.

For me one of the best airports worldwide. Well trained staff, organized and clean. Chapeau ... and by the way, also the Low-Cost-Carrier piece, both, the old and the new one are excellent terminals.
Despite looking modern, the airport is filthy. Queues at immigration are unpredictable and officers are mostly nasty. Asian hospitality does not start here. Try to avoid toilets as they are the worst in any county in South East Asia: not properly maintained, most of the sinks in bad shape, dirty, and smelly. Despite this dozens of cleaning personnel running around.

A very average airport, with some parts seeming very dirty
I had to sleep at this airport overnight. It was not pleasant. There are no comfortable chairs or areas for people to stay long term. The staff of the airport were all quite rude, taking their breaks near sleeping people and talking loudly or watching movies without headphones. Additionally, there are very few places for people to charge their electronics. I was really surprised the airport was so terrible, given how wonderful everything else in KL is.

Worst airport in the world.. had bad experience several time. Security staff don't understand english. I have little one and got her hand luggage plus me and my wife hand luggages. They didn't let us to go through the immigration as we have 3 hand luggages. 3 seats 3 boarding pass 3 passengers 3 luggages that's common sense. This happened during our transit. When we went through KLIA for holiday from Australia no one told anything then when we were coming back after holiday it happened. Think about it happened with little one how inconvenience. Please don't choose your transit through this and also Malaysian Airlines.

KLIA /KLIA 1/KLIA(M), all refer the same. It consist of main and satellite building. Aerotrain links between the two building. On arrival before the immigration , there are several mobile booth that passengers could purchase sim . There is also KLIA 2 airport not far away. Free shuttle bus service run in between.
For international to domestic transfer, passengers have to go downsstairs once arrival of international section, and pass the immigration in domestic section. Departure international and domestic gates can only inter-accessing through transit immigration.
So friendly people. Signage is horrible bad. In general Terminal2 is much better. Arriving: I had to wait 2h at the border control. Not much people but only 3 spot where operation. So my overnight stay was short in Kuala Lumpur.
Security concept isn't really thought through. Very loose.
KL airport, though it is located at selengor... Named as KL airport, is quite big to handle passenger traffic. Well maintained and has good ambience. Security is bit rigid, where even water bottles are not allowed after certain point and there is no facility of drinking water beyond the said point. Wish the authorities notice this concern and make necessary arrangements. Well having said that, this airport has got wonderful food court, bookstalls, novelty stores etc. Overall this is one of the best airport in SE Asia.
Unfortunately, unlike last time; This time I was not aware of it at all. In the check-in section, all Iranians were suspended for a long time and were told to fill out a special form at the risk of coronavirus. While this form is not at the airport; Which was given to passengers on the plane. But the person in charge did not accept the person in charge, and delayed all the passengers of Mahan Airlines to Iran for more than an hour, which caused stress and confusion. Because of Quaid, 19 airports were very, very deserted. The train did not work between the two parts and we had to walk a long distance. Only part of it went by bus. The rest was fine

The Duty-Free shopping at here is cheaper than duty-free shopping in the region. It also provide free WiFi.
Worst airport is KL. Highly congested. Stinging cooking smell coming opposite gate L11. Air Asia pathetic airline. Chennai flight AK 13 delayed by 2 hrs. How troublesome to wait at a bad airport, No smoking are, No eating options.
Wonderful airport in Asia and enjoyable environment
Excellent airport with unbelievable collections in the duty free stores. I have been to Michel Kors stores and the collection was simply amazing. As I was in hurry I couldn't watch every place here keenly but I really loved this airport and the security check is so simple even in a line didn't feel I was in a queue.

I would've thought an international airport would allow you to buy something/anything other than water to drink. Then, when you try to buy the water, there's a minimum charge, so you try to buy a bunch of other stuff you don't even want, to meet the minimum, but then discover they only take certain cards. Of course yours isn't one of them. Then there's no ATM in the terminal, so you can't get cash. Whatever you do, do not go in the bathrooms. They're disgusting & smell horrific. Come on KUL , at least pretend to be an international airport.
KLIA2 is international airport of Kuala Lumpur. Far away from main city almost 50 kms. No hassels in clearing immigration and it took only 20 minutes to reach the boarding gates. Clean and spacious area
Impressive facilities, very spacious and clean, well-lit, friendly staff (except for the lady who checks the carry-on baggage). This is one of the most beautiful airports i've seen. There are also shuttle busses going to the main City, all are very organized. They follow the same tariff and no overcharging.
Paying for a lounge is definitely worth it if you are going to stay for more than 3 hours. Toilets have 'hose' bidets. Which sometimes can get messy.
There are quite a number of facilities for transit passengers.
Airport looking good. There free wifi, international restaurant and disability people access. Workers are not much kindly. Even if we ask some question from them they ignore it.

The golden lounge has a nice atmosphere and good food, even if I expected more choice. But staff inside there, is the best.
A bit of a disaster as airport goes. Many twist and turns, so prepare to get lost. There host of design failure like single escalator serving major thoroughfare, walkalator that is elevated instead of same level as the floor, urinal installed too high and host of other issues too many to name here. For a new airport there are somethings already in repair. It feel like it was built to fail so that more people will use the original KLIA instead.
