had a really bad experience here. bought a burger king, took 15 minutes (only one person in the line), even without a bag for take out. there is an extra security check right in front of the boarding gate, had to drop off the drink just bought... the boarding time was one hour before take off, had to wait in another small room before boarding, so weird

Well organized airport. Friendly staff. Has nicely built waiting areas. The airport has sign board with sufficient information. Transport facilities from the airport to Kuala Lumpur city is excellent. The airport has many Muslim pray rooms.

Sharing the things that I didn't like for the domestic departures at KLIA1: 1. A.C. is very cold at a lot of places and there is no way to have the temperature decreased. I asked the available staff and they were helpless too and also couldn't direct me to anyone who can help. 2. Announcements tend to be very loud and frequent. Other general info: 1. Check in staff for Malaysia airlines emohasizes that there are no laptops or other electronic items in the checked luggage so better to avoid putting the same in checked luggage.

Malaysia premier central airport is that - airport with lots of quirks that could either be amusing or downright annoying. Past the first security checks, on the departure lounge, are littered with shops and establishments to cater for your hunger and thirst, however the seating in the departure waiting room could be better as it wasn't ergonomic enough. A cushion and higher backrest would do wonders for the passengers. Current seats looked like they taken it from the bus stop (it was uncomfortable). Apart from this, it is the typical airport

Air Asia sucks, do not fly this airline and don't go through this airport. Rather fly anther airline. The bathrooms are horrible and service is bad as well. I did enjoy however the free WiFi. Every 30 seconds, the stupid lady would say happy journey.

Admittedly I slept on the chairs most times I passed through here, but it is a lovely airport and food is plentiful when you are hungover. I don't know why you'd review an airport but apparently you can, even though there is nowhere else to fly into I suppose its in hopes that someone is listening at the airport for bad stuff I bet they are not. Cheers.

Very fast secure check with almost no hassle. Every one seems to speak good English and very kind and helpful. You can use grab without any problem. Just make sure you go to the 2nd level to be picked up. They also have a lot of stores from famous brands. Good places to eat for a fair price.

Was easy to access NO delays and although an old airport it is up to date with technology .Plenty of food outlets including KFC.

This is no doubt one of the cleanest airports that I have visited in recent times. This is the Air Asia hub for connecting flights and you still mostly get seamless guidance even during busy hours. The food joints are pretty decent and Duty Free offers were good. Do not miss the Dior and Chanel special offers running almost throughout the year. Note: For layovers ,do head to the airport hotel pods inside the international terminal and enjoy the comfort. It is on the expensive side , but the experience is really good.

KLA in the early hours of the morning feels like a giant amusement park with hardly any patrons. As it's the case at most airports at this time of the morning you will find tired travellers sleeping on the best seats. But unlike other airports KLA is mostly a giant glass house allowing travellers to see it parked aircrafts and sprawling tarmac. At SYD travellers can buy things, go to their gate, relax and suck up the electricity juice while they wait for checking in. But in KLA the gates are behind secured screen glass doors, which are only opened 40mins before departure time. This means that travellers are forced to wonder around many KLA's shops and be tempted to buy something. There are only one power charging station at Gate 15, which is 2 USB and 2 electrical sockets. I see a lot of travellers not looking very happy here. Although, they do get KLA's free WiFi.

Very well developed. All amenities are easily available. Emmigration counters are very well organised and efficient. Connectivity through metro and public bus transit is excellent. Getting a Taxi or a self drive car is also very easy. Travel guide maps are available at all sorts of travel related counters.

For all its modernity and how it seems like its the best airport in South East Asia, the 2+ hours of wait time we had to go through immigration certainly did not reflect its claimed status. For the first hour there were only 3 staff that served the whole line with more and more tourists coming they then decided to take action and add more staff to ease the lines. All in all expect extremely long lines in immigration!

Amazing airport. We were stranded here for 12 hours and it was actually a decent experience. Quite a few lounges to choose from. Choice of food is insane. The Popeye's here is so good I ate there twice! Best fries I've probably ever had.

This airport has 2 terminals KLIA and KLIA2. We have been to second terminal. This terminal is maintained well. First one serves international flights and the second one for domestic and Air Asia International flights.Airport is maintained well. There is food court but not many options. Duty free shops are good in number. Our Air Asia departure was through Gate Q. Worst part is all the facilities like Food Court, Lounge etc are outside this gate and you need to rush through as there is security check at Gate Q. They should have had it before entering the gate while doing luggage scans. Both the terminals are well connected via KL Express/Transit trains or you can also walk as there are proper directions. There are escalators almost most part of the airport which makes it easy to reach the point with your luggage. Free porter service is good thing they are doing.

Arrived to the air port after 20 hours of travel. Bags didn't show up for 1 hour. Absolutely ridiculous, they said technical difficulties. Hundreds of people waiting around at midnight.... First time to Malesia very disappointing so far.

The airport is very huge and fancy. But facilities is not better than low cost carrier KLIA 2. For me the vibes is a bit cold and not welcoming here in KLIA but overall the imigration and process to board is so convinient not so long and far like KLIA 2

The International airport is large, clean (too clinical) and ultra modern. Some gates are served by the efficient, rapid and frequent aerotrain. A number of restaurants, cafes and shops (international) serve the passengers. Very long queues for the restrooms (spotlessly clean) and queuing etiquette is flaunted by the locals. Both squat and western toilets (tissues will come in handy!). International in scale and facilities but somehow lacking in ambience

Very nice airport with friendly and welcoming staff and good choice of shops. The signage could be a bit more user-friendly and the security checks could be done once only instead of having to go through the procedure twice for some reason. Overall, I flew from this airport twice and I had positive experiences.

we had more than 3.5 hours to transfer to another flight from a different airline and barely made it. 1.5 hours walking and standing in line for the immigration stamp! On the 10 luggage belts our flight was not displayed anymore but we luckily found it by accident. It was pretty difficult to find out that there is an airport train to bring us to the other terminal. But which one and where? You need local currency or credit card to buy a ticket for going to the other terminal! How stupid! We were able to pay it and had to wait 15 minutes for the 3 minutes ride. Checkin our luggage, security check, migration process & ride another train! we arrived just in time for boarding. the plane left the dock on schedule, but it was standing on the runway for 1 whole hour, so we arrived very late. Signs on the airport are very confusing. But we did never get lost for more than a minute. we had good luck finding everything. There was no time to eat or drink something. Hundreds of super-fancy dutyfree shops we had to walk by, but that's not what we came for.

Taxi desks charge around 120 RM to KLCC and a ticket is required from this desk to get a taxi from the official rank at the airport. However if you go out of the terminal there are some freelancers who'll negotiate a lower price and take you to one of the taxis they work ith...I paid 90 RM...still an official taxi but I guess the commission the freelancer demand from the taxi driver is less than the taxi desk. Journey takes a good hour to get to KLCC from the LCC Terminal
