The Bar.

The Bar.

My wife has always been a fan of dining at the bar. I had always been hesitant, but not because I didn't like it it was due to the fact that for several years I was fighting a "pinched nerve" and sitting at the bar was a pain in the neck (literally).

Thankfully my acupuncturist remedied that problem and am now pain free and able to sit wherever the Hell I damn well please.

Mistral's bar has recently become one of my favorite dinner spots. The bartenders here are not only some of the best, but are the most genuinely nicest people you will ever find. Tamara and the rest of the mixologist made me feel like a regular after (count 'em) just one visit. My wife and I now make frequent visits and instead of taking up space in the dining room, prefer to nestle in at the bar and visit with the bartenders and meet other interesting locals.

If you make a stop by here soon, you will be treated to a special aged blood orange bitters that will your bring your manhattan to different level of enjoyment. But if manhattans aren't your thing, there are plenty of other refreshing drinks that will be sure to put a smile on your face.

Mistral also has a large flat panel TV where you can catch up on the Giants, 49ers and Warriors or any other of your favorite sports team(s). But if you just want to sit and unwind with a glass of wine or cocktail this is the perfect place. The bartenders will take care of you and slide over the perfect drink.

Amazing I had lunch here today with my mother, aunt and uncle for my 40th birthday. Our waitress was excellent. I had the veggie burger with piquillo peppers and avocado with garlic fries and aioli sauce. I had a grand Marnier creme brulee dessert. Suburb service, food and seating in a large screened in sunroom where you can see the lagoon. Simply amazing

Appetizer and entree were quite good. The cocktail was definitely the best thing I had. The entrees took a long time to arrive, possibly because there was a private company dinner also taking place so the chefs were busy.

This place is.....AMAZING!!!!! Highly recommend it. The staff, the service and the food were all awesome. Ambiance is perfect for the romantic evening we had planned. We started with cucumber Uzies and crab cakes. Best crab cakes of my life, seriously. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly, and the entire plate was very well balanced. The seasonal fish plate was, as well. (Alaskan Cod crusted in almonds). The Ghirardelli gnoche was to-die-for. I HIGHLY recommend anyone to try this place and not be impressed. If you make reservations online, request a waterfront table, it just makes dinner that much better. I wish I could give them more stars, they definitely earned it!!!! We WILL be going back soon!

The food is under seasoned, and very few appetizers are healthy. Everything is fried, and way too oily. The salads are pretty good and fresh, and the scallops were decent but a bit chewy. Much better options are available.

Overall, warm fuzzies for this place. Eat alone or as a group, delicious. Will help you out w a quick soup meal before closing. Take your time in a group dinner. I do miss the pine nuts in the house salad (a change over the years), but this place is always in my heart, since moving here almost , wow, a quarter century ago!

The servers are friendly and helpful. The seating outside is safe and socially distant. The view of the canal is breathtaking. The drinks were delicious, as were the hors d'oeuvres. Their bread is delicious. DON'T ORDER THE SEAFOOD! It was way overcooked, to the point of being difficult to swallow. I would go back. I just wouldn't order fish next time.

Nice waterfront atmosphere. Reasonable pricing and good sized portions. A nice respite in an otherwise commercial area. I had the mahi tacos and all three tacos had a decently sized piece of fish. My partner had the shrimp salad and I have never seen so much shrimp on one plate!

We were seated on the patio with a nice view of the lagoon. I had the ahi "tataki" appetizer, nothing special, exactly what one would expect. Now the soup de jour was exceptional. A cream of asparagus soup with pistacio's, mmmm delicious. The pistacios added a nutty taste that made for a richer flavor. I then had the scallops with fingerling potatoes. Sea scallops had a nice sear on the outside. They were served with crispy artichokes over a spinach bed. Then chokes were good, but the spinach was awesome. It was very tastey. Overall a very satisfying meal.
