My daughter and I VERY much enjoyed our week long stay. Mission Inn was attentive, without being obtrusive.

The biking/walking paths were scenic (on the property). I work with special needs children AND have raised children...and found my walks a luxury. A rare luxury!

Our room was pleasant, airy, and clean. Security had a strong, but background, presence. And the cable guide was easy..

We arrived at 11pm from airport. Reception staff were unfriendly, room smelled, staff said need booking for table to eat in resort restaurant. We ended up driving in heavy rainstorm to find a mall to eat in.

I have now visited Mission Inn twice with two different golf groups and I can't say enough about the facilities, golf experience and friendly and cooperation of the management and staff. I plan to return many times in the future. Priced extremely well. Great deal!

The food was good, but not as good as I would have thought for $35/pp. Maybe that's because I wasn't drinking though. My only real complaint is that there wasn't a changing table in the women's restroom. For such a nice place to not have one was a little disappointing.

This place has a lot of potential. Wonderful setting with picturesque golf courses. Attended a wedding that was well-done. The rooms are very dated and the food quality & service in the restaurants, while not bad, does not command such an expensive fare.

This place is a bit of heaven in the middle of no where. We have been there 3 times and are planning to return. There are two challenging beautiful golf courses in impeccable condition. The restaurants are fabulous. Joe, at Nicker s was so hospitable. The Saturday night seafood buffet was just delightful. Joy, at La Hacienda restaurant was also very helpful. The beauty of this place is just remarkable. We stay in the suites which are well appointed with comfortable bedding. I highly recommend Mission Inn.

Probably the best Florida golf destination I have ...

Probably the best Florida golf destination I have found (this includes resorts in the Orlando, West Palm Beach, and Naples areas). The packages are low cost but comprehensive. The accommodations are comfortable. The building is old but has had recent renovations/new furniture. There are on site restaurant options - one casual, one more upscale - along with a restaurant at the golf clubhouse. The resort is fairly isolated, but it is possible to drive to other dining options.

The five star review is mostly because of the outstanding golf experience. The hotel rooms are on the golf course - our balcony looked out over the #9 tee box. It is a short walk or shuttle ride from the hotel to the clubhouse. They will store your clubs and have them loaded on a cart for you in the morning.

My group always plays 36 holes a day, so we particularly like resorts that offer two full 18-hole courses. Mission Inn fills that requirement very nicely. Their premium course, El Campeon, is one of the top rated courses in the state, and has become one of my favorite courses anywhere. It is located directly beside the resort hotel. For a replay round, the Las Colinas course is routed through private residences on the property, but there is ample room for stray shots, I never felt the houses encroached on the golf experience. Both courses feature excellent conditions on all playing surfaces - tee boxes, fairways, greens, rough, and bunkers. El Campeon especially features a very creative and challenging layout, with several memorable holes.

I've been to a lot of golf resorts, and while there are certainly better courses, better hotels, better restaurant options at various places, there are few resorts I can think of that combine all these features at as high a level as Mission Inn. Howey-in-the-Hills is a little off the beaten path, but definitely worth the drive if you are traveling to Orlando-area golf destinations. In the dead of winter it will be chillier than the South Florida resorts, so I probably wouldn't schedule a trip there in Jan/Feb, but this is a go-to option for me in Fall or Spring golf season.

This is our 5th year in a row coming here for the Florida High School State Championship. The course is always in great shape and the staff is always very nice. The general manager Michael even calls us by our first names the last several years. They give excellent customer service and it's an overall great experience. I highly recommend this venue if you get the chance to play; it's worth the drive off the beaten path. Either course is a good challenge, with El Campeon being the most difficult.

This lovely institution billed me 3 weeks later for a golf fee because we had 3 not 4 golfers. This after pairing us with someone on a course so over full it took 5 hours to play. The attitude at this course is atrocious. It's a shame because usually the course is nice. But the management is horrible. I will never come here again.

The service is awful. Attempted to go to the Saturday dinner buffet at Nickerson Clubhouse Restaurant this evening. We called this evening and got 8pm reservations for a party of two. We arrived at 8pm and the first thing we noticed is that the room was cramped and the buffet poorly laid out. We checked in at the host desk, but the host couldn't find our reservation under our name. Since they also asked for our phone number when we called, I suggested she look under that. She wrote the number down and said they'd call us when a table was available. Since there was no evidence that she had actually found our reservation and there were many peoplewaiting, I asked her how long the wait was. Her response was that she did not know. Awesome.

As we were waiting, my husband went to look at the food stations. He discovered that the large crowd standing around the table was actually waiting for crab legs, which apparently, they ran out of and weren't quick to fill. They were still waiting when we finally decided to leave 20 minutes later. Maybe that was what caused the seating delay or maybe they just can't properly plan out seatings. Either way, we decided the wait wasn't worth it especially since the hostess never confirmed that we had reservations or that she had any intention to ever seat us. I stopped at the desk to let her know we were leaving. She asked who I was and I gave her my name and said we were the people whose reservation she couldn't find. She advised that she had found it on the back of the reservation page. When I told her we were leaving, she just said "okay" with the same lack of interest she had in our previous interaction. No attempt to find out why or indicate when we might be seated for our 8pm reservation. So we left and will not be back.

Knickers Restaurant- Prime Rib and Seafood Buffet....

Knickers Restaurant- Prime Rib and Seafood Buffet.
Well after about 10 years of raving about this being our favorite place to go for special occasions and bringing many people with us, we were served up a disappointing evening. We made reservations and were greeted with deer in the headlights look, like we were trying to pull a fast one. After being seated we noticed a different air about the place as wait staff were standing around and tables were not being cleared. We just kept piling ours at our unused setting. Plates at the stations were not being replenished so people were going to different stations to get plates. We also noticed the quality of the food has changed with the addition of Cajun spice on potatoes and shrimp which my wife is nit a fan of. I am going to guess that management of knickers changed and not for the better. We will be back in the near future to give our once favorite restaurant another shot or go in search of somewhere else. If nothing else thanks for 10 years of great food, service and memories.

We have visited Mission Inn many many times over the last 15 years since moving here. This lovely family owned and operated resort is a staple in Central Florida. One of the the things I adore is the family atmosphere created among staff. Many of the staff have been there many many years, which speaks volumes about the class act this establishment is. The golf course incredible, hotel uber clean, restaurants and attention to details amazing. Can't say enough great things about Mission Inn!

Our stay at the Mission Inn was lovely for my Goddaughter's wedding. The staff was amazing, helpful and so friendly. Our rooms were sanitized completely... even the remote was in a sealed bag with a sanitized sticker. The staff and all guests wore masks for safety. Buffet breakfast required staff and guests to also wear full gloves and masks. The waffles and omelet 'to order' tasted delicious! Our stay was only one night... but it was lovely.

From the staff to the property and the courses this place is top notch.
My wife and I spent 2 nights on a golf package and played 3 rounds. The dinners were perfect, service impeccable, and staff extremely helpful. The rooms were clean and the staff wore masks and gloves due to the Covid. The resort was mostly empty so for a quiet couple of days of golf and relaxation it cannot be beat.
The only negative occurred on the last night of our stay. We played a late afternoon round and were planning to check out in the morning. We put our clubs in the car after the round. In the morning we discovered the car had been burglarized in the parking lot of the hotel and both sets of clubs stolen. We are avid golfers and had many thousands invested in our clubs.
We plan to return again but will never leave our clubs in the car again.

My husband and I love to go to the Mission Inn for a quick "get away." We live nearby so we enjoy escaping to the Mission Inn for drinks with our favorite Bartender, Ellaina, at La Margarita, wonderful dinner at El Conquistador, and the breakfast buffet at the La Hacienda. We enjoy the pool and scenery as well. We stay a few times a year.

I was here in 1967 as a senior in high school with a friend and his family who owned property there. Came back 50 years later and still loved the course, now two courses. Not as busy as Orlando itself and still great golf.

We visited the Mission Inn primarily to play golf and we were not disappointed. We have been there twice and after the Covid restrictions are eased through the vaccine, we plan to return to The Inn once again. The entire package is excellent. Rooms are spacious and clean, the food is excellent and the courses and practice facility are outstanding.

We just had the most PERFECT wedding at the Mission Inn Resort!

Mission Inn Resort was one of our top choices to get married at. After meeting with their team, we decided to get married there and we definitely made the right choice. Amy and Bri were so helpful through my whole wedding planning/process. The day of the wedding Amy, Bri and team helped set up the ballroom and it looked absolutely amazing. I honestly couldn t have pictured a more beautiful room. When I walked into the ballroom for the first time I was speechless. They really went above and beyond to make my day extra special from the ceremony, cocktail hour, to ballroom. The food was also great! After our tasting we knew our guests would love the food and sure enough they did. We received a lot of comments on how tasty the food selection was.

One of the reasons we chose the Mission Inn, was because we had a lot of family coming from out of town and they could stay there. We got several compliments from our guests about how beautiful the resort was and how everyone there made it such a pleasure to stay. The bellman and front desk staff were amazing. The front desk lady was such a doll and the bellman helped load/unload our vehicles.

Hands down best place to get married! My husband and I are so grateful to them for making our wedding run so smooth and perfect!

My husband and I go to the mission every year for our anniversary and it is always a wonderful experience. The spa has excellent service as well as the restaurants. The rooms are large and comfortable and we always have a great time hanging out at the outside areas looking at the beautiful views and sometimes seeing a wedding ceremony. Definitely recommend the mission inn to anyone wanting to get away!
