I wasn't going to give this review because it's no...
I wasn't going to give this review because it's not the review I'd really like to be able to give them. We've been Mission Inn MANY times for Easter, Thanksgiving and Mother's Day - not usually all 3 in one year but one or two every year. Every other time, we've had the dinner at La Hacienda. It is a lovely venue with breathtaking views. The 'grand buffet' there is beautiful and tasty. This year, for family reasons, we ended up making last minute reservations and had to go to Nickers.
Every other time we were there (at La Hacienda) dinner guests wait in a separate room and are given Mimosas while you wait and there's usually some type of entertainment. At Nickers, you wait outside in the heat. If you know to ask for it, you're shown where the 'make-your-own-Mimosa' table is (behind the greeter) and you make your own while people wait in line behind you to make their own - outside. That's not bad but it just didn't seem appropriate for any meal that costs more than $50 pp.
Because we had reservations, we were seated very quickly. I was impressed when we first walked in but not so much after we were seated. We walked through some nice areas but, once we were seated, I noticed little things like there didn't seem to be enough wait staff to take care of the guests. At La Hacienda, nearly as soon as you're seated, your impeccably dressed server comes by and takes your drinks order and gives you a brief rundown of where everything is. At Nickers, no such thing happened.
It was little things like no server greeting us at all (for several minutes) after we were seated (we finally just got up and served ourselves), absolutely no view of the beautiful resort, no salad bar AT ALL, and no crackers with the smoked salmon (I had to go searching for them and found some crackers completely across the room where I had to wait in line again) that left me thinking, "I don't want to pay more than $60 a plate with a gratuity of more than 20% already added on) for this experience. And I definitely don't want to pay that to not be able to eat salad." Like all my girl friends and quite a few men I know, I love a good salad. Sometimes I skip dessert but I always eat salad first. And I prefer a good salad bar to dessert. Not having a salad bar at a buffet is a bad idea. This is not the first year that they didn't have a salad bar and I didn't miss it as much last year but this year the atmosphere, experience and the other food did not make up for the loss of it.
Like I said before, I wasn't going to leave this review because I LIKE this place. I really do. But if they want to keep my business, they must do better. We prefer not going to go someplace that charges less for holiday meals because they're TOO packed. We'd rather pay a bit more and get a spectacular meal in a beautiful relaxed atmosphere. The meal was not spectacular this time, the atmosphere was not beautiful and we were anything but relaxed.
Sorry, Mission Inn. This time, you did not do well.
We love Mission Inn and if you've never been, disregard my review, make a reservation for yourself the next holiday (make it early so you can get into La Hacienda!) and try it out. The Mother's Day Brunch should be awesome. (Better make the reservation now!) My review could be total junk for you. I hope it is because I really like this place, just not this time.

I have stayed at the Mission Inn and Resort many times and I have always had a wonderful experience. My husband and I enjoy having an evening cocktail sitting outside by the gas fire pits and watching the sunset. We enjoy dinner at the bar or in the El Conquistor resturant. We always eat breakfast sitting outside overlooking the golf course and it is delightful. I would recommend this Inn if you are in the area.

Always a delight to stay at the Mission Inn Resort & Club. For golfers it's a paradise, away from the chaotic and busy coast; for swimmers and loungers, the pool offers tranquility and a great tiki bar; and for diners don't miss the lavish breakfast and special dinner buffets. A hidden treasure.

It s all about customer service. Just minutes after I got in my room the front desk called to ask if I had any complaints or needs. That small gesture shows the Mission in understands it s mission. Plenty of restaurants & accomodation in a beautiful quaint setting .

I was there for a Saturday wedding, but stayed Friday and Saturday nights. The inn was about 45 mins from Orlando airport, and the area felt very it of the way, which I guess could be good or bad, depending on what you're looking for. Cheapest room was $135 (single king) and was very nice, except for the lack of a fridge. Great service, with the initial exception that I was at first given the wrong room key and nearly walked in on my brother, his wife, and their toddler (at 3:30am). Lots of amenities. We enjoyed some skeet shooting with the groom and groomsmen, and afterwards they gave some liquid refreshment to the winners, and took some silly photos of the losers. Great wedding location, though an evening wedding will get some very significant sun, so I might recommend a morning/noon event if you can. Still was great, though. Catered food was good, and reception venue was nice. Don't know the cost, but it was an enjoyable event.

One of the hardest course I have played. A premium on been on the fairways, uber tight driving areas. The rough does not appear the be deep until your ball disappears in front of you and you need to hacked out. Played the Blues and should have played the whites or reds (lol). every par 3 was 197-216yds long with very little bail outs.
I would play it again, definitely used more irons of the tees. You want to be challenged this is the course for you.

Initially I was charged for the Christmas day dinner when we were attending the New Year s Day buffet. It took several phone calls and messages to finally speak to someone about having that corrected. It did become frustrating to have to deal with that. The Buffet was wonderful with a large selection of food and social distancing.

Rudest dining room staff I have ever encountered! ...
Rudest dining room staff I have ever encountered! Had lunch with friends at Hacienda. All other diners were on a golf package so we were only paying customers. My husband decided to take the all you can eat buffet. We took Water on sitting down but said we would order wine with lunch.
Husband had some salad and then went for entree. Staff had descended on buffet and were tidying away. We were not told it was closing. One server made a face so my husband put his plate down and went back to his seat. Manageress Joy witnessed this and did nothing about it. Server came with check and when we mentioned we had not been offered wine with meal she rolled her eyes and gave a loud sigh !! She took credit card to be processed and took ages returning. My husband jokingly said we were worried she was cloning it. She walked away throwing her hands in the air gesturing to other staff. Again manageress did nothing. We took it no further on the day but contacted Joy later. She offered a free glass of wine to make up for this awful service. Her superior Mr Trotter then offered a bogo offer on Sunday lunch. Felt none of the management took a serious view of the staffs inappropriate behavior. I returned the voucher and will not be dining there again or recommending to friends. I have been treated better at Applebys!

Played golf at El Campeon. Beautiful course and nice layout. Lots of elevated tees that make for some beautiful tee shots. Greens were rolling very nice. Course was in great condition, but a few soggy areas (standing water in #9 fairway). Challenging holes with small greens. I would love to play this course again. Thank you.

Staff is outstanding, friendly and very knowledgeable regarding all of their products. The facility is very clean and staff practices all the CDC guidelines. I have never felt uncomfortable! This is a beautiful and laid back place. It is a hotel, golf resort, conference center, wedding venue, spa, and different kind of facility.
Sure, it has wonderful golfing, perfect water fountains and landscaping, terraces, and a pool bar, but it is a venue that would be teriffic for intimate weddings with 100 guests. There was one happening as soon as the sun sets here today.
The rooms are clean and the banquet food is good. Definitely a place worthy of consideration if want to be away from the average hotel and venue.

My husband and I spent a long weekend here playing golf and enjoying the area. The resort was fabulous, food was great and the golf was really enjoyable. The mission inn resort and club is a beautiful property. I was there to photograph of wedding and there are so many different photo spots. From bridges to a waterfall. Only issue I had was the staff seemed a bit disorganized and I had a hell of a time getting anyone to pay any attention to me when I needed assistance.

Destination Wedding at Marina Del Ray
I cannot thank Kerry enough! She was amazing from the very beginning!!! I had a destination wedding being planned by myself and let me tell you, it was not by myself. Kerry went above and beyond helping find vendors, keeping me on track with things I needed and if they corresponded with the venue and even gave me a list of possible vendors for everything!! During a Pandemic and things being a never for sure thing, she communicated and helped reassure me and guide me through changes (if there was any) and answered any and all questions! The day of the wedding ran a little earlier than anticipated but she made sure everything went on smooth sailing! Kerry, thank you very very much! With love from now, Mrs. Meza!

Great golf course. I've played there several times over the years. However, on my last visit there, Ibooked a foursome on line. One of the group was unable to make it and so only three of us played and paid individually. About a week later, Mission Inn charged my credit card for the player that was unable to attend. I called and spoke to the pro shop and was told that I would have to speak to their accounting office. They transferred me there and I left a message but no one returned my call. I called back three days later and left another message. That was 2 weeks ago. I have still not received a return phone call. I am very disappointed.

Normal one room suites don't have a microwave in them, but have two TVs for some reason. Hallways smell like varnish and cleaning agent. The bed frames extend out way farther than they should. If you walk around barefoot you are guaranteed to stub your toe horrendously or smash your shin. The property is nice and the staff are great. Rooms are clean and what to be expected.

First this an excellent place when Saturday seafood buffet was at knickers pre-covid now that it is at La Hacendia there some major differences. The variety is no longer. I was told by staff it was about food cost hence the reason limited amount of crab. How is it all you can eat if it is limited?. The selections are not there that you had at knickers so naturally you are going to eat more crab legs. With all that said its a wonderful place to take your family without question. Post Covid too just be aware when we booked our reservations they said everything was the same guess what thats not true. Be upfront with your guests let them no the changes no more whitefish scampi muscles oysters and numerous other items including deserts. This is the reason I took my score from 5 to 3 best wishes with your business model. It went from my daughter begging for our family to go vs naa let's not go back.

I took advantage of some time off in the morning before Thanksgiving. I wanted to try the Mission Inn all you can eat breakfast buffet. They where setting up for Thanksgiving brunch which looked huge. Something I might want to try.
Anyways, this breakfast buffet was nothing I would waste my money on. But, positive note the view was spectacular!

I played the Las Colinas years ago and decided to try the El Campeon course this time. It's a wonderful course to play and have fun: scenic, intrinsic, hilly, undulated greens, forced longs, good conditioned overall. At best it's a 4-star course: a lot of tee boxes are bare bones and the greens are slow. As a resort course, range is not complimentary. However, this course is still highly recommended.

I drive a bus and the day I went happened to be a day I brought my Senoirs to the Mission Inn to eat at the Hacienda. Typical with most places, they want the business of a bus but they don't have parking for a bus, so I knocked off one star for that. Otherwise, the food was great the staff was pleasant and the view of the golf course in wooded area was great.
