Beautiful winery! My family and I did the tasting at the tower, which was a fun experience. I wish that it was made more clear on their website that the tasting did not include a tour of the winery. If I had known that, I would have chosen a different tasting experience. If you are going in the peak season, I would suggest that you make reservations at least a few weeks before.

Nice grounds and views. Our guide was very knowledgeable and spent time with us and we did not feel rushed.

However, we brought a camera tripod with us and got told on several occasions, by different people, that tripods were not allowed. We were disappointed in this response as we were not impeding anyone and just wanted a few photos of us together. Given COVID-19, we did not want to ask anyone to take a photo and touch our phone. The attitude of the staff in this way put a negative on the experience. We were later at Quails Gate down the road and had a completely different and friendly experience in this way. Their grounds were scenic, free to roam, and lots of great photo opportunities overlooking the lake.

The views were amazing from this beautiful restaurant and the food and service were fantastic! Our waiter couldn't have been friendlier! The grounds of the Mission Hill Winery are pristine and the wine is delicious. A definite highlight of our trip!

Mission Hill was our first winery tour and we sampled tastings, a paired lunch, and were escorted by our own somolier on a private winery tour. They are professional all the way and I would recommend these options to anyone.

An absolute must see! As expected it is THE winery in town! The grounds are immaculate with beautiful rose bushes and perfectly manicured shrubs. We did the 45 min tour which was fantastic. The tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable and funny. The tasting hostess was also great. Attentive and personable despite the place being packed and busy all the time. The $5 gift shop voucher at the end of the tour was a great little treat which we used for some bottles of wine. This is a cannot miss winery!

Excellent food and service served in a stunning location. The only problem for us was that it was pouring with rain which spoiled the view but also meant that we got dropped on a little - however the staff were very attentive and apologetic for this

Lovely property. Big commercial business. Tasting fees are double what you would pay at a smaller family run estate winery where the product quality is much better. Not really worth your time to stop here.

Very nice winery! Scenery and building are very well thought out. This winery is a little commercial, the wine prices are usually more expensive here than the wine stores. We were here for the festival of trees and really enjoyed walking around enjoying the trees. The food is also good here but can be expensive.

I brought my girlfriend here last weekend to propose. I wanted it to be a surprise so sent an email to Mission Hill. The manager reached out to me immediately and worked with me on a plan to make it happen. They were beyond amazing for helping me with that. The customer service, dinner and views are unbelievable. Highly recommend to anyone- especially those looking for a romantic evening.

If you're travelling with a pet be prepared to be asked to get them off the property. Not just off the grass or outside of the tasting room but remove them entirely from the mission hill. Our group of 11 left to visit another winery, rather than leave our dog in a hot car as suggested by the staff. I guess these guys don't take part in the winery dogs welcome experience. There's so many great wineries that do welcome the family pooch with a nice cool tile floor, water and treats, but Mission Hill isn't one of them.

The winery itself is absolutely beautiful, unbeatable views. Lots of good picture spots. Sadly the wine isn't anything special and the gift shop prices are incredibly insane. Ill be back for sure but mainly for the view.

This venue is stunning. Once you step foot on the property you feel transported to grecian/roman style inspired architecture. The vistas are amazing as well. We visited the winery for a two course wine paired lunch. My husband and I tried four different dishes and two of them were extremely disappointing and fell extremely flat on flavours. The "Unearthed Farm's Greens" and the "BC Wild Sidestripe Shrimp & Fresh Durum Rigatoni" recipes should be revisited. The salad was missing salt and acid; the pasta dish was missing acid, flavour complexity, and presentation. The kale pesto did not enhance the dish and overall, the pasta was so overpowering that the meal tasted like plain boiled pasta. From a visual standpoint, a contrasting colour to the green dish would also help. After the meal, we purchased a bottle of 2016 Reserve Iced Wine Riesling. The day we were heading home we dropped the bottle on the driveway and headed back to the winery to re-purchase a bottle on our way out of Kelowna. When we got to the winery we were told we could not re-vist the wine shop because we did not have an appointment. We were told that at best we could wait around for an hour for the wine shop to "reset" and maybe we could go back in. That was extremely disappointing. We understand that these COVID times are tough and we are all trying to do our best but there could have probably been a way to allow us to re-purchase the bottle of wine rather than have us wait around for an hour in hopes that we would be allowed access. We were extremely disappointed and unfortunately, overall our experience was sub par.

Had a tour (led by Ewan) through the vineyards + underground cellar & lunch. What an amazing experience.

Ewan was a great host, very personable, took photos for us, and answered all of our questions (there were many!) Explained the meals and wines with great expertise, and even took the time to jot down some recommended wines for us to pickup from the store afterwards.

Beautiful property, beautiful winery, beautiful views.

The experience was one of a kind, and unforgettable. Will be back, but this time to the tour with the barrel tasting! Hopefully can get Ewan again to be our guide!

A+, great job guys!

Great experience from start to finish at Mission Hill. We did the taste of single vineyard wines tour and was impressed by the intimacy of the experience, very private. Wines were incredible.

what can I say. huge! and great place for children to run around. They have a huge field where children can run around. But if you are planning to eat at the restaurant try to book ahead. they book up fast

The winery is an absolute must see however the wine is overpriced for what you're getting. To see an event there it is worthwhile however again, the price tends to be on the high side. My experience with the restaurant has been very mixed but friends have greatly enjoyed it.

My son asked me to visit this winery as I talked it up so much.. so we visited this week for my 3rd time, and every time I ve had a great experience. The property is stunning, the wines are great, and the staff and friendly and helpful! Didn t have to wait to have a tasting and the woman who helped us was very cheery and knowledgable. Last time I did the tour- which I would definitely recommend. Getting to see the whole downstairs cellar and tasting afterwards is lovely! Could easily spend a day there. Wines were even better than I remembered from my last visit, can t wait to try the reds I purchased. Kid friendly too! Beautiful views!

At first glance you think you're entering a mansion, modern and vast. The architecture is awesome and the service is impeccable. About the wine I would say fantastic, specially Jagged Rock Chardonnay and I really enjoyed Halibut.

Mission Hill, without a doubt, lives up to its reputation. Opulent, premium, robust, and magical are words to describe this venue and the experience. I've been here at least twenty times over the years and each time they've delivered. The restaurant, location, service, etc. are all excellent. Highly recommended, especially if you're from out of town.

My wife and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary this weekend and decided to have dinner at the Terrace at Mission Hill. We enjoyed a 5 course set menu with wine pairing and it was an experience like no other.

The food was incredible, the wine was delicious, and the ambience was breathtaking. This was an experience you can't replicate easily. I highly recommend going on a date or having a great meal with good friends.

We did multiple tastings in the area over a few days, and this was definitely the best. The experience felt very personalized and staff were friendly and shared a lot of information about the wines and the wine-making process. It is an expensive place, but the grounds are beautiful (feel like you are in Europe or the Mediterranean) and the wine is very good. We reserved our tasting about a week in advance and there was only one time slot left, so booking in advance is needed. I would recommend Mission Hill to anyone going to the Okanagan area!

The service is incredible. You cannot match the atmosphere and view. Highly reccomend the food and wine pairing. Everything was so well timed and the pairings were a phenomenal taste and flavour experience! One of the best dinning experiences I've had! Will definitely be going back.

I took my family here to try their restaurant, when I tried to have a table the girl at front told me that they can only serve 4 persons and we had 5 person, so unfortunately their "4 persons table" is not capable to serve 5 people and does not seems like helping at all, I mean, adding a chair on the side is probably not worth it for them, I came here once a year but this will be the last time

I came to buy wine during the day and it was a stunning winery. The bottles of pinot noir were $33. Booked dinner for my fiance and I. It is a sight to see. However, at dinner we ordered 2 glasses of the pinot noir and then the same bottle. When the bill came the wine was $28 for two glasses and the same bottle purchased earlier was now $60. When I questioned the cost the server said it is common to mark up the cost of wine by 50% in a restaurant. First of all this is a 100% markup! Also, This restaurant is in the winery, owned and operated by the mission hill. The food really was nothing special, and the started of asparagus and sweat breads was inedibley salty. it was well overpriced. It is worth it to visit and take a look around because it is magnificent. ...but I wouldn't take my wallet out. In addition, the same bottle of wine van be purchased in Calgary for at most $25.

What a great winery. Views are spectacular. After going here Its hard to go to another winery as this place sets the bar so high and makes every other winery pale in comparison.

Highly recommend the tour with lunch. Food was amazing and large quantities and they were not cheap with the wine on the tasting. You get your moneys worth

I have to cram the entirety of awesomeness that is the Mission Hill winery in less than 800 words, the limit imposed by Yelp, thus the constraint I place on all my reviews elsewhere. And yes, by introducing the review this way, I ve already wasted 45 words, foretelling 38 more before I actually begin. It s only one winery among dozens in the region, but it s by far the most picturesque. It s been called the best-looking winery in Canada, one of the best in the world. I believe it. Mission Hill is not as much a winery as it is a basilica or mosque, one that pious gastronomes should visit at least once in their life.

I admit the profanity in comparing it to the haj, but every foodie should take such a trek. You pull onto Mission road and scale up the considerable incline, passing mansions on the right and vineyards on the left until reaching the gate yes, the gate. It also has walls, not castle-like, because that would be even more incredible. More like monastery walls, re-enforcing the previous blasphemous metaphor. And like a church, it even has a bell tower, and well there is water and wine. Heaven knows, I felt humility being in the shadows of such gastronomic icons. It s no wonder so many wine companies claim saintly connections.

The entire complex is less a functional processing facility and more akin to art, the result of years and I imagine hundreds of thousands of dollars of renovation. The bell tower marks only one point of interest among dozens, and the tour we took on that hot afternoon encompassed many, beginning at the base of the tower and coming full circle, around and through, ending finally in a wine shop, like any good tour should. Two covered terraces one being the restaurant reviewed separately act as borders for an amiptheater. Beyond the vineyards, Mission Hills keeps gardens of herbs and beehives, often categorized by their affinities to specific wines.

After lunch, we toured the grounds before taking a quick jaunt to Quails Gate, returning to Mission Hill for supper. Practically all day, and what s more amazing is that despite the dozens of wineries we plan to visit on our return to the Okanagan in the near future, Mission Hill is STILL on that list. Despite seeing every crevice, tasting nearly every wine, and after even enjoying a private tour by the head chef (thanks to having connections), we still wanted to return. I m maximizing my word length in this review to justify that level of consideration.

I've been visiting Kelowna and the local wineries. This no doubt had a stunning view of the lake from every angle. I did not try anything because it was packed. The structure is beautiful and modern, all designed to attract the tourist. Would go back for the tasting tour.

Venue is worth seeing because it is unrivalled. The wine is passable, not the best in the area, but still nice to taste if it's not crazy busy. Overall the impression is... positively impressive.

I can't even believe some people gave this place a 1 - 4 stars, this place is for sure 5 stars!!!! We came here for the wine and cheese tour, and our tour guide was amazing and knowledgeable! Amazing view, amazing wine, and amazing cheese.

By far the greatest experience I've ever had at a winery. Excellent, caring, and knowledgeable staff serviced our group in the terrace restaurant. Our guided tour with our sommelier, Tara, was a huge positive experience. She was both incredibly friendly and extremely informative about the wines, land, and the process of making wine. She is truly the hot girl queen of Kelownafornia. Our group is also very grateful that Tara, Katie, and Ian allowed us to taste and learn about the Occulus, Compendium, Quatrain, and Perpetua in the Lounge. Thank you guys for everything.

Wonderful experience. I would define Mission Hill as the ideal winery and dining experience. Visit this one on your next wine tour as a classic bit modern option. The finishing up with their great coffee and macaroons was wonderful.

The cellar tour was both interesting and interactive paired with the wine tastings. I would recommend making a reservation before attempting to go to Mission Hills restaurant "The Terrace".

Amazing views with a touch of great architecture. If you are into wines I will suggest you to take one of their wine tours. Matt from their team took us for the tour and he was knowledgeable and friendly. Keep it up mission hill team.

WOW !! We started with a guided tour which lasts about 45 minutes, super interesting and not too expensive. Followed by a tasting of 6 wines (possibility of less). What beautiful discoveries! How the angelus sounded! We had dinner at their restaurant .... reWow !!! We had a starter of Carpaccio, linguine with shrimp and rigatoni with salmon, everything was SUBLIME! a little expensive (some wine at $ 22 a glass) But it was more than worth it! You have to pay a milking once in a while! ;-) and the decor ..... fabulous !!! Well done!!

Lovely location staff is extremely friendly really good experience. The place is beautiful a most do in the city !!! This was the second winery we try in Kelowna and absolutely delicious and beautiful. The first one was Quails Gate little more snobby in my opinion and the staff is a little more rude !
So Yeap love my experience here I ll come back here in a heartbeat!! Recommend it !!
