We love the zoo, but really really wish they had animals like: zebras, elephants, hippos, giraffes, etc. It's nice to see local animals, but when you pay this much to get in it would be nice to see the more exotic animas too.

MN zoo is the best zoo in MN. They are very active in conversation efforts and their enclosure are appropriate for their animals. Always something new going on. I would highly recommend getting a membership.

They update their exhibits every few years to keep it fresh. The food court is reasonably overpriced, but still worth it for hot food. Tropics Trail is still my favorite after years of attending.

A little spendy, although for what you get it is worth it in the end of the day. If you plan to visit here more than once a year, get a membership! There is enough to keep you busy for a full day so I would say a membership is worthwhile because you could split it up into multiple days if you would like.

I usually am not one to go to a zoo because I don't believe in holding animals in captivity. However, I went to Health Partners/Park Nicollet's event held here for a sighting of 5,000 jack-o'-lanterns. I thought it seemed a little bit on organized but it was a beautiful and unforgettable exhibit. My partner and I are more interested in coming to the zoo after seeing the setup. I had been here once in school and from what I remember the animals are treated well.

It was fun to be there but it seemed like you could only see half the animals and your time there is limited yet there is no discount on the pricing. you essentially have to pay full price for half the experience.

This zoo is a great spot to get the kids out and see something new. It was busy but not crowded when I went and that was on a Friday. Lots to see! Everytime I go I see something new! I didn't try any food, but there are food stands and a cafeteria style place to eat. I had a blast and I am def going to be back!

I have been going to this zoo since I was a small child and this visit might have been the best. There are barely any people even when they are sold out compared to before so the animals are right out in front of the glass. You can say most animals right now but the Barnes are closed as well as most food related places.

Had a big family outing, Was allowed to bring a lunch in for everyone and loved that we could rent a motorized cart for someone who has troubles walking. Only down side was that a lot of the feedings/training were only 30min apart, hard to go from one place to the next in time. It was a great place to send the day

I went during covid... I actually preferred the experience over that of typical. My intelligence is probably very average, but I've always felt lost at mn zoo which makes a day at the zoo much longer. There was a clear path of movement to make it through the entire park without backtracking. Everyone was moving in one general direction so it felt less chaotic. Yes, there were less people than normal too. I appr coated less of the visual clutter of the push of toy sales etc. One improvement would be to sell healthy food options and soy milk...we aren't trying to eat all the sugar laden options but we did bring some things, my lil guy just got more hungry than I had expected.

We got to see the new baby tiger cub and mother. It was amazing to see. The zoo is well done. I feel some of the enclosures are a little too small, but otherwise it seems ok. The kangaroo exhibit was great. The second time we saw it the kangaroos were close to the trail. It was frustrating to see people trying to touch them, when they make it clear no touching is allowed. People today are so ignorant and think the rules don't apply to them. There were too many free range parents that didn't tell their kids not to touch. I hate that people are so stupid they can't follow the rules. I guess they probably can't read or comprehend. I wish there were more zoo employees to deal with the throngs of walking idiots.

Very impressing zoo, lots of space and variety of exhibits.

I would have liked to see better beverage containers (no lids or straws). Very messy to drink and really no way to stroll and drink coffee as you walk in the zoo.

Great Butterfly garden, loved that exhibit. Also the tigers need more 'tiger time' something to stimulate them intellectually. They seem very bored and desperate to have something to do.

Overall I am very proud to have this zoo in my state!

Fun

This zoo has all the usual things you would expect but in addition, they have information at many exhibits about conservation of each animal and suggestions for how everyday people can help. For example, I picked up a seafood guide that gives very specific suggestions for how to support sustainable fishing practices that keep our oceans healthy. This zoo also has many children's programs and some special music in the zoo nights for adults. Visitors to MN may enjoy the MN Trail which highlights our local wildlife and conservation efforts. I would highly recommend this zoo. Enjoy.

There is plenty to do indoors on a winter day! It's amazing how much they can pack into the tropics area, so take your time. They are open 363 days a year. The food offerings had greatly improved since I was last there.

The wife and I can agree: this is the best zoo we've visited, and we've been to a lot of zoos. The sheer size of it allows for a roughly 3-4 hour visit; however, the design of the zoo allows you to easily pick and choose which sections you want to see and which ones you don't.

The exhibits? 10/10. Not only are they the cleanest exhibits we've seen, but they're also the largest. Seeing the bison have acres of land to graze was fantastic. A lot of zoos crowd them into tiny pens--and they're just one example of what the Minnesota Zoo does right. A+ guys, keep it up.

Had a great time with family. We went to see the kangaroos. Since I'm Australian and American, this was much fun. It was also amusing to see how differntly an American zoo presents the roos compared to Australian zoos. The best exhibit was also quite something.

Minnesota zoo has a great variety of animals. There's farm animals, tigers, tropical animals and fish, Minnesotan animals including a lynx, wolverine, eagle and many others. If you choose to walk around the entire zoo and take in a show like the bird show you can easily spend an entire day here.

The food court has a good variety to choose from.
