The zoo is approaching 30 years old so I can no longer call it the "new zoo". It has aged nicely and is a great place to spend a day with the family. Or, take a few hours and go through one of the trails and then came back soon for more. I recommend the Minnesota trail and the penguin exhibit. I heard they are going to repurpose the old IMax theater and the front entrance over the next few years.

Lots of great displays that take the animal's wild environment into consideration. There always seems to be a new display in the summer giving you reasons to come back. We always get th season pass. I did it initially to have early pickings a the concert in the zoo series. Now we do it every year just for the zoo. Parking is free with the pass and after 3 times it pays for itself. And if you've never gone in the winter, do yourself a favor and check it out.

I usually love going to this zoo. But this time all the weeds were way overgrown, they blocked the views so my granddaughter couldn t see a lot of the animals from her stroller and you did want her near the fence cuz the weeds were sticking out. If you have allergies I wouldn t recommend going. I still am having problems a day later. Please clean up the weeds so we can come back and enjoy the beautiful zoo.

Fairly expensive-admission, food, and souvenirs- plan to spend a lot. Also felt it was fairly dirty in the food court- tables were dirty and no staff cleaning them-you take care of your own garbage, staff should be washing tables at the very least with the prices they charge.

It's got pretty much every exhibit it could have. Can be spendy but has really great exhibits such as primates, minesota trail, tropical/ rainforest, aquariums and decent amounts of cool animals in each exhibit. Good day of family fun. Better in the summer. And I'd pack a lunch. Foods pretty expensive.

Good size and good variety of choices. The aquarium section is nice with good touch areas for kids. The Llama trail was neat, though to ride the camel or any other activity is kinda expensive but on par with most zoos. Solid choice for a family day, or half day as you can see the whole thing in about 4 hours. Overall a good experience with the family.

Most the wild animals look depressed as Melania Trump--knowing this is her life and who she is married to. Also, lets close zoos down, huh? Natural conservation areas are the way to go for these animals. Lets do right by them and give them their day.

Beautiful trails lead one to excellent exhibits of animals in a natural habitat. Signs give it interesting information about the animals. The Grizzly Bear exhibit and the leopard exhibit were some of my favorites. Loved seeing a pack of wolves up close, aslo

We love The Zoo and are proud members. Not only for the many informative, family-friendly exhibits, but also for The Zoo s focus on both environmental conservation and the rehabilitation and restoration of threatened species around the world. Minnesota and the entire planet are a better place because of the MN Zoo. Thank you!

Amazing zoo. The whole family gets a membership every year and we never will get sick of it. The Northern Trail is my favorite but the whole zoo is worthwhile to explore. There is so much to this place I can't even say. Check out the schedule for feedings and shows so you can plan your day around them if you want.

I liked the Minnesota Zoo especially because I saw some animals here that I have never seen in any other Zoo.

Also, the indoor and outdoor parts of the Zoo are good for visits during Winter / Summer.

It was a long day experience with a lot of really nice exhibits, the only thing I missed from a regular zoo experience is the giraffe, zebra, and lion experiences which this zoo doesn't have. But it was still very fun for the kiddos!

$100 for 3 adults and two kids, paid parking, the monorail is gone, the dolphins are gone, half of the animals are not on display due to construction, up charge on all the extras, $7 to walk a Llama, $20 for 4 Icees. RIP off, go to Como they have way more animals and it's free.

We have a yearly pass to the zoo. In the summer we will walk the northern trail, go to the awesome splash pad or go to the farm. In the winter, we spend a lot of time at tropics trail. There are so many things to do.

My family has been going here for the last few years. The staff is informative. The programs are fun and educational. The facility is clean with that many people going through the zoo, you would expect the bathrooms to look much worse. But most importantly, you can see different animals at different times of the year being active. It's a great place to take the kids for the day.

This is an amazing place. I just recently had my wedding here and highly reccomend this as your venue if you like adventure. Peter in sales and Cheron in catering are super professional and very organized to help with with the process. We had a wonderful experience and think it is so cool that we will be going to our place we got married for years to come. We love going to the zoo often, we haven't invested in a year pass yet but we are going to look into it. The tropics trail is one of my favorite locations because of the beautiful scenery and lively animals, you are always surprised by what you see. Another one of my favorite parts is the New lama edition. Noelle who works in the lama trek area is super nice and kind, very knowledgeable and friendly. We love the zoo and reccomend it to anyone who's up for a little adventure.

A bit better than the como zoo more animals to see but can be a mad hiuse on the weekend especially if you're not there early. Great spot to be in the middle of the week. I'm always tempted to free the animals. The kids will love the farm and new playground out by the farm.
