Took the kids (2 and 4) and they loved it! We got there early so parking was a breeze and the animals were all awake and moving around before the heat of the day. Food prices were better than I expected. My kids loved feeding the goats at the farm zone. And the fountain in the front was fun for everyone to play in, but bring extra clothes for after. Have fun and don't forget the sunscreen!

We hadn't been to Minnesota Zoo yet, we knew we needed to get to the Nature Illuminated (aka Zoo Lights), at the least. We were not disappointed. It was delightful and fun, informative, colorful and well worth the time. We would highly recommend it.

We are visiting the zoo during winter. This is a perfect place for winter where some of the exhibits are indoors. The tropics trail in itself is good enough to entertain your family. We will definitely return during summer time to explore some of the outdoor exhibits. The dining room are big but the food options are just ok.

I visited the Minnesota Zoo for the pumpkin spectacular and it was absolutely fabulous! We went just after it opened for the night so the line was pretty long but the people we were surrounded by were great! Everyone had a great time joking and getting to know each other. The pumpkins were AMAZING! I couldnt believe how many there were, hanging from the trees, different themes, different colors. I hope they do this again next year because it was a really great experience overall. Highly recommend 10/10!

It's a zoo. One of two we have in the Twin Cities. Lot to see, lots to do. Doubly so in the warmer months. Certainly more expensive than Como, but a lot of things can be seen in comfort on the coldest winter day.
Would like to see the nocturnal animals section to have more than two exhibits. It feels as if it has been under construction for many years now.

If you like animals or you like learning, this is the place for you. The MN Zoo is amazing, the price not so much fun, but It is worth the cost if you spend the entire day, so make sure you have your walking shoes on so you enjoy the experience.
Packing a lunch and beverages will make the experience a bit cheaper as well!

Adult night is a fun experience and a great way to get your steps in while you enjoy creation and all the wonderful things we often take for granted. If the food wasn't 3 or 4 times what it is worth this would be 5 stars.

We took our son for his first zoo experience in hopes to have our own fun, viewing interesting animals, but we left disappointed and pockets empty. The commercial on TV shows penguins, ant-eaters, and dolphins... None of those were found when we visited on 7-9-16. A lot of walking for not that much to look at. If you don't live in the Midwest, it might be a neat place, but most of the animals were local, which now I understand the "Minnesota" part of the name. We were expecting a few more exotic exhibits, like most zoos. A lot of structures were beginning to look run-down; and don't bother with the Dinosaurs exhibit- a waste of $5 in addition to the front gate fee just to see only a handful of dinosaurs.
