Did a great job reconfiguring the zoo during the pandemic.
Did a great job reconfiguring the zoo during the pandemic.
The Llama trek was quite good. I will return. The facilities were clean and well maintained.
Good place well laid out. Good selection of animals and treated well... No sad feelings like some zoos.
Great fun for the whole family and plenty of stuff to do, plan the whole day.
It's was kinda disappointing even after not visiting zoo in a little over a decade. Needs more animals n better viewing displays. Animals all seem stress (health) and starved to the max (Lonley).
Lama lama inside joke sorry but this zoo is amazing :)
Lots of animals to see and things to do, just be prepared for lots of walking also. They have play areas for the kids and at least one for 3 and under. The only downsides were large school groups and that the concessions closed early (one closed at 2 and the main area around 3). The zoo closed at 4.
Light show is good and interesting. Be sure to listen to the narration.
Nice and clean with more natural habitats for the animals
Lots of cool different animals, but beware there is a lot of walking.
The zoo is always a pleasure. The membership pays for itself in two trips.
This is a pretty big zoo.they have restaurants, wash rooms, ice cream stall ,gift centers.you will see lots of animals but as compare to area of the zoo its less.sufficient parking lots .
Went to the Jack-o-lantern Spectacular. Wonderful! Early evening is highly recommended.
This is my favorite zoo in MN. It seems like they take good care of the animals because they all appeared to be happy. They also keep the place very clean. The employees seem like they really like their job and that they genuinely care about the animals.
Awesome zoo! So many fun and fascinating things to watch and do! Easily spend the entire weekend here!
Always fun to go too the zoo. The animals were very active when we went in March!
Beautuful day with my grandkids! Well worth the visit!
It's an ok zoo very spread out with no train but they offer golf cart ride for 4 bucks one way to the farthest attraction.
Great zoo, especially in the winter time. Spent a few hours there and was only able to see a portion of the place. Every enclosure you were able to see the animals in them (a lot of zoos it seems like the Animals are hiding, not here). Great food selections for being off season, they have a food court there with many options. Walked around the tropical part and then the wilderness part which was pretty neat as it's kindof half inside half outside, still I'd reccomend dressing for the season but you will not freeze doing that during the winter. They have volunteers everywhere that entertain the children. Overall a great experience and will definitely go back.
Nice Zoo with a wide variety of animals. Clean and well kept. Great destination for the whole family.
Lots of exhibits and plenty of places to get food and sit down to relax
What a wonderful venue to see a concert. Tonight's was Steve Earle and the Dukes.
Well worth the price of membership. Lots to do here
BEST ZOO EVER! Wish we traveled with my kids this time around, they would have LOVED it! My husband and I enjoyed ourselves immensely!
They have a good sized indoor area for the winter! We signed up for a membership to take advantage of having a warm place to go in the winter. The beach party is going on now, so we need to make it out again! We visited during it last year and it was a huge hit!
This is a large zoo, except there are not any elephants or giraffes.
And the admission price can be on the higher side of things.
Bug over all its a good zoo.
The illuminated nature drive-by display was fabulous.
Great place and a great value for local families! Seriously, get the year pass don't even think about it!
Needing a bit more TLC these days and updating in a few areas, but the exhibits themselves are still top notch and we had a lot of fun at the summer Llama zone too. Bit on the pricey side for what you get but hopefully those higher costs help go towards restoring/updating the parts that need it!
So big an great for summer fun with the family also cool discounts programs available so more affordable for you to get in based on level of income cry out self
The Jack-o-lantern trail is definitely worth going to. Just remember to get your tickets ahead of time, early and dress warm
Awesome Zoo Experience. NEW exhi its and upgrades coming soon! Can't wait to see the difference
Wonderful family fun and very clean. Animals in large areas and well cared for.
Me and my family ha e never been to the Minisota zoo until today and we have to say layout wise it is better the the San Diego zoo. But we were sad to see no birds, no hippos, no pilot bears, no penguin not even giraffes. But we had fun anyway.
The zoo is always a fun place to visit. Even though it was a rainy day on our visit, there was still plenty to do and see when my wife and I took my daughter there.
My wife and I went to the Jack o lantern spooktacular at the minnesota zoo. It was a pretty cold night, but they had hot drinks like apple cider and hot chocolate to keep us warm. There were also various snacks like popcorn, funnel cakes, pretzels, etc. Adult beverages also available. The carved pumpkins were amazing. They did a trip around the world, showing scenes from different countries and continents. The artists who created these are amazing. This is definitely worth checking out!
Beautiful moment that we spent enjoying the night lights at the zoo!!!!!
Not worth the price if its a really hot day. All the animals hide in the shade and a hard to see. Best food court is inside
What's to say? The mn zoo is a bit pricey, but our littles love it
It's a ZOO! Tons of little kids, if you can get there during the day on a weekday its much less crowded, just moms pushing babies in strollers. Animals are always fun, I like to play spot the chinchilla on the tropics trail.
Animals are more active close to opening ~9 or 10, they get sleepy and nap in the afternoon
Worth the price! Large variety of animals that are treated very well. Very educational as well
I always love visiting Minnesota Zoo. There is something for everyone and they are always adding new, seasonal events. My daughter and I visit twice a month or more.
Had a fun family trip to the Zoo. I rode a camel for the first time ever and I'm 32 :) Such a fun experience even if it was just a loop around.
The Jack o lantern exhibit was awesome! I loved the themes and the music. It was great to have multiple drink stands along the way. Overall was a great experience.
Very family friendly. Tons to look at and learn. Only down side is the price, but worth it.
Overall it wasn't a bad experience at all! If you have kids, this place is the one stop to let your kids burn off all that energy. There's a splash pad for kids to run through, and plenty of play areas which honestly if I wasn't as old as I am, I would have been all over that playing on the playgrounds. Definitely kid friendly. Only thing that stunk a little was some of the animals must have been in their pens out of view as some of them were nowhere to be seen. But overall, it was fun to walk around and see some of the animals.
Family friendly and good place to wear out the kids.
That is a very cool place and especially de tropical part
My son's favorite place to go on weekends or when daycare is closed. We are fortunate to live 5 minutes away and have a family membership.
I enjoy The amazing up close visuals an interaction with the animalsb
Lots to see and do. Has the most amazing outdoor playground I've ever seen in my life - I know who goes to the zoo for a playground, but wow. Great aquarium, the kids and I loved it
A crowd pleaser in every season! My kids are 2, 4, 7, and 9 and they love going to the zoo! We have season passes and they are SO worth it! Always something new to see at the zoo and we can go and find things to do for hours!
We had another great day at the zoo, it's always fun to come and see all the wonderful animals here.
I had a great day out by myself. Random event, glad I went!
Needs better signage! Smaller post that say shortcut, 25 steps, 2,000 steps bathrooms, footsteps on the floor - something cuz that place is huge and expensive.
