It's was kinda disappointing even after not visiting zoo in a little over a decade. Needs more animals n better viewing displays. Animals all seem stress (health) and starved to the max (Lonley).

Lots of animals to see and things to do, just be prepared for lots of walking also. They have play areas for the kids and at least one for 3 and under. The only downsides were large school groups and that the concessions closed early (one closed at 2 and the main area around 3). The zoo closed at 4.

This is my favorite zoo in MN. It seems like they take good care of the animals because they all appeared to be happy. They also keep the place very clean. The employees seem like they really like their job and that they genuinely care about the animals.

Great zoo, especially in the winter time. Spent a few hours there and was only able to see a portion of the place. Every enclosure you were able to see the animals in them (a lot of zoos it seems like the Animals are hiding, not here). Great food selections for being off season, they have a food court there with many options. Walked around the tropical part and then the wilderness part which was pretty neat as it's kindof half inside half outside, still I'd reccomend dressing for the season but you will not freeze doing that during the winter. They have volunteers everywhere that entertain the children. Overall a great experience and will definitely go back.

They have a good sized indoor area for the winter! We signed up for a membership to take advantage of having a warm place to go in the winter. The beach party is going on now, so we need to make it out again! We visited during it last year and it was a huge hit!

Needing a bit more TLC these days and updating in a few areas, but the exhibits themselves are still top notch and we had a lot of fun at the summer Llama zone too. Bit on the pricey side for what you get but hopefully those higher costs help go towards restoring/updating the parts that need it!

Me and my family ha e never been to the Minisota zoo until today and we have to say layout wise it is better the the San Diego zoo. But we were sad to see no birds, no hippos, no pilot bears, no penguin not even giraffes. But we had fun anyway.

My wife and I went to the Jack o lantern spooktacular at the minnesota zoo. It was a pretty cold night, but they had hot drinks like apple cider and hot chocolate to keep us warm. There were also various snacks like popcorn, funnel cakes, pretzels, etc. Adult beverages also available. The carved pumpkins were amazing. They did a trip around the world, showing scenes from different countries and continents. The artists who created these are amazing. This is definitely worth checking out!

It's a ZOO! Tons of little kids, if you can get there during the day on a weekday its much less crowded, just moms pushing babies in strollers. Animals are always fun, I like to play spot the chinchilla on the tropics trail.

Animals are more active close to opening ~9 or 10, they get sleepy and nap in the afternoon

Overall it wasn't a bad experience at all! If you have kids, this place is the one stop to let your kids burn off all that energy. There's a splash pad for kids to run through, and plenty of play areas which honestly if I wasn't as old as I am, I would have been all over that playing on the playgrounds. Definitely kid friendly. Only thing that stunk a little was some of the animals must have been in their pens out of view as some of them were nowhere to be seen. But overall, it was fun to walk around and see some of the animals.

A crowd pleaser in every season! My kids are 2, 4, 7, and 9 and they love going to the zoo! We have season passes and they are SO worth it! Always something new to see at the zoo and we can go and find things to do for hours!
