This is the best Zoo in MN. They have a large indoor trail and they have a large aquarium. This is a must for families. You can also catch so me of their shows, like the bird show or feeding of the sharks. This place is huge so you will need a few hours to get the most out of your visit.

I cannot say enough good things about this zoo. I have fond memories of my time here from childhood all the way to my current "middle age." The conservation and enrichment programs that are run by the MN Zoo are outstanding! They really care about their animals, as well as animals across the globe, and it shows.

The Minnesota Zoo is okay. It is incredibly expensive for a zoo. Especially when you consider its main competitor, Como Zoo, is free. My daughter loves animals, so we go to both zoos. Getting a family pass, if you are going to go more than once per year, makes it affordable. The price of admission is worth it, to me, just to check out the "Bird Show" every day in the summer at 11 and 1. A fantastic and funny 30-minute show that no trip to the Minnesota zoo is complete without.

Fantastic ZOO. Kids love it, parents love it. You can spend a few hours here without being bored.

Splash pad and kids playground is a park favorite for kids to spend downtime (not walking around) before heading to another section of the park.

Come on. A zoo only sucks if the weather is bad. Mn zoo is knowledgeable about the animals. I would rather not see animals locked up, but this zoo is doing a great job to care for them and using them to educate visitors about conservation and protection.

Very disappointed. Not worth the money. Not recommended. Save your money and go to Como Zoo, it's free and highly recommended! I won't go to the Minnesota Zoo again! Hardly any animals to see. Most are inside! Disappointed for a first time going. Wish we'd gone to Como Zoo instead!

It was clean and I was very impressed. It was our first time at the Minnesota Zoo. I normally dislike zoos because I feel like the animals are just packed into cages. This zoo was spacious and the animals looked very cared for.

Very nice zoo it is large and you will easily get in your 12,000 steps for the day. There was a storm and the Staff drive around and got everyone to shelter before the storm stated the down poor of rain. We went to the butterfly area, and it was small, but very colorful.

Was fun, strong smell of pee near entrance, animals were very well taken care of. Did see a fox that was in a too small size room walking in paces back and forth needs bigger room or outdoor. Food and drinks little expensive

Fun

Love this zoo!! Amazing place to bring my grandkids. My only disagreement is over your requirement to wear masks outside. So hot and unhealthy for the visitors! 89 degrees outside..heat advisory and no splash pad, masks required outdoors yet gift store is open indoors. Makes me question their requirements related to Covid.

Live in Kansas City and was in Minneapolis for a weekend getaway and decided to hit the zoo. Very disappointed. Not much to keep the kids entertained (11 & 12 yo). A couple of hours and we were done. Omaha Zoo was far superior. On a side note, little kids (6 and below) seemed to be having a good time. Might be more geared to the younger crowd.

The Tropical Trail packs a wallop into a single building (watching the gibbons brachiate amidst flamingos and ducks was particularly neat), while the rest of the zoo features wide-open spaces for animals to roam. There are also kid-friendly features in abundance: a splash pad, camel rides, petting zoo, etc.

This is a great zoo! The exhibits are very well put together and the animals seem genuinely happy. This is a great place to bring the family, go on a date or just stroll through by yourself!! Very clean facilities that are well kept! The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful! I would highly recommend!!

You can never go wrong with the Minnesota Zoo. Friendly staff and well manicured, clean facilities. Great to see the new seasonal attraction and learning experience for kids and adults alike. Such a shame the IMAX company left, (NOT the zoo's fault). Maybe they can invest in their own projector and show movies, although animals are more of a priority.

Exhibits are wonderful. The volunteers are a hoot and so knowledgeable. Erbert and Gerbert lunch was abominable. Half sandwich and soup combo for $10.50. ONE THIN slice of Turkey. TWO thin slices of tomato and a handful of shredded iceberg lettuce. Chicken noodle soup. 1 noodle, about 1 inch long. 2 noodles about1/4 inch long. Two teeny bits of pink something I think were supposed to be chicken and about 5 shreds of carrot. The rest was broth. DO NOT EAT THERE. Over priced and no quality. Not even poor quality.! I have eaten plenty of poor meals and not complained. I am not given to complaining but this was terrible.

Where do I begin ? This place is amazing , first because you make a donation to enter and not done over priced cost that is unaffordable. Also, the food inside and gift shop are reasonable prices . The animals are interesting and then they gave a fun water area for the kids . Definitely a must visit !
