Always have a great time here, and love having the membership to come free whenever we want. Even thought we've been here so many times.

Great concert venue. Well run, good options for drinks and cozy.
A very nice Zoo with spacious enclosures for the animals.
I hung out with my friends but the food is to expensive
I love the zoo. There is something for everyone of all ages to see and do.
Got to see many animals and I got to buy collectibles. But the covid regulations were ridiculous and places were blocked off that didnt make any sense. I had an amazing time with my family though.
Great place to take children, plenty of different animals and activities.
We have had a membership for a few years now. My daughter is the primary on the account so any arult can bring her. We love it here. We probably come once a month. There is plenty to see indoors in the winter too! My daughter loves the bird show!!
I went to Music in the Zoo and saw O-Town. I got to meet them!
The pumpkin Halloween display was amazing. Must see event!
The MN Zoo is by far the best zoo in Minnesota. My kids had a wonderful time. I think Discovery Bay is the best for the kids.
It is always a delight to enjoy the exhibits and the informative staff. It is always a pleasure to see the attendees so captivated by the many animals
Very nice place, hours worth of animals to see, and they have shows throughout the day
Great place to take the kids can be spendy but worth every penny
Imax theater is great in both sound and picture. Highly recommend!
The staff was very friendly and I loved the exhibits.
Lots to see and a great place to go with your family.
It had great animals and a wide variety of indoor and outdoor exhibits! It can be pretty expensive though.
Unfortunately, not having been impressed at our last visit many years ago was disappointing and appears to have changed little. Although I did notice looking at the 2018 annual report they did actually break even. The premier attraction of the IMAX long gone did not help with my opinion changing. The reason we visited yesterday was for the "Circus of the heart" event first time being held here and it was welcome change from previous venues.
This place gets expensive and it's far away from town but it's nice to go out
Not as good as the San Diego Zoo. Better than the Indianapolis Zoo.
Many of the exhibits are empty and the visitors are not informed until they see it.
TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE! So many cool play areas and a splash pad. Great food options without the unreasonably high price tags.
We have a blast every time we go to the zoo. There is so much fun stuff to do. We go at least once a week if not more. There are so many places for young ones to play one could probably work from the zoo while their kid/s play.
Great place to go to as a tourist. Extremely large area to walk around to view all their animals.
Been going here my whole life. So many wonderful memories :)
Kinda small compared to other zoo's I've been to. Still fun. Was a good day date for me and the ole lady.
I thought it was way to expensive to get in, to buy food and the gift shops. I understand the upkeep but no need to charge a fortune for everything !
So many great things at this zoo. Our kids love the splash pad in the summer as well as the big playground area back by the farm. A membership is a great value if you're in the area.
For the kids and the kid at heart. For our long northern winters the indoor trail is a wonderful treasure for all the enjoy and the warmer months bring outdoor activities and summer camps your kids will love.
Get a membership and have a great time while saving money.
Amazing place, I loved it as a kid and now I bring my own kid to enjoy it.
Did the Jack O Lantern spectacular. We all enjoyed it but the wait was a lot longer than anticipated.
Lots of indoor exhibits and animals for when it's cold outside I was impressed.
The swimming penguins were extremely exciting for our 2-year-old grandson! Very entertaining.
Great adults night. No kids. Drinks and food. Great for a date night.
The Zoo was so big, we loved how much room all the animals had! The Jack-o-lantern Spectacular was well worth the 6 hour drive from IL!
I love this zoo! This is the 5th largest in the country and you will get a workout just touring the exhibits. Great place to bring out of town guests, especially children.
A very well maintained zoo with a great variety of animals. Much better than Chicago zoos.
Excellent day out for young kids. Splash pad was a huge hit. Love the kangaroo experience.
If you recieve any sort of assistance you can get in for free you just pay 7$ for parking
Keeps the kids busy for hours & they recently started accepting EBT to get in free! All you have to pay for is parking!
It's always nice to come here and look around and get some exercise. Didnt enjoy the last time we went as it was during a special weekend and it was super busy. If you do choose to go and if you dont like crowds, try going right when they open or before closing time. Also dont go during special events, it gets super busy and you won't get to see much as there is a lot of rude people that push their way through crowds with the strollers.
Recently attending their Light Up Blow up animal display show. It was definitely more kid oriented but still cool to see. Love that they are still doing things.
Great place to take your family. Had a great experience.
Huge amount of both indoor and outdoor environments. I recommend getting a membership.
One of my favorite places to go - with or without children! There are options for animals to see whether the weather is beautiful or freezing. A membership is definitely worth the price if you plan to visit more than once a year.
the price is really expensive and most of the animals were not there and if they were they were sleeping . this is not the best zoo i would not recommend this to any kids or adults
The zoo it's self is nice, but there are no African animals, such as lions or giraffes. The food is also expensive and there are not enough benches throughout the zoo.
I feel that the price you have to pay to get into this zoo is not worth the amount/variety of animals they have. I would much rather go to como zoo. It is free and has a better variety of animals.
Always love this zoo! It's clear every time I come here that the zoo keepers love their jobs and the animals. The animals are well taken care of and the shows are fun to go to. The bird show especially is fun for an upclose experience. Also one of the last places I know not that sell dip n' dots.
Always love going to the MN Zoo! Great place to bring the entire family!!
Today was our first time visiting the Minnesota Zoo. We moved here recently and were looking for a good family outing. The zoo has so much to do and see! Our two kids had a great time and we will definitely be back.
We took the Grand children to see all the new babies! They loved it! They were sad that the kangaroos were not out, but otherwise they had a good time.
It had been years since I had been to the mn zoo and it just seemed like its not worth the price without the dolphins and monorail. The enclosures are beautiful and big which means long walks between animals that you may or may not be able to see. I'll save my $ for sparky :)
Not sure how it is the rest of the year, but I went in December and there were not very many people there. I was able to take my time and watch the animals. There are a lot of inside exhibits, so you do not have to be outside the whole time. Price is about average for a zoo - I paid about $50 for 2 adults, and that is with a parking fee.
Expect to spend quite a bit of time here, as the zoo is fairly big and spaced out. I enjoyed the variety of animals that they had and was able to watch some "enrichment" type activities with some of the animals. The volunteers were very friendly and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed!
Wonderful to visit, even in winter! The grandkids loved it (as did the adults)!
Zoo never fails to impress. This visit highlighted wild horses, taikin, prairie dogs, and grizzly bears. All were extra close and active.
You have to pay for parking in their giant private lot. So not only are you paying an arm and a leg to get in the zoo, you have to pay an arm and a leg for parking as well. Not very easy taking the kiddos to have fun anymore. Its not like we're in a parking ramp downtown St Paul
Things have improved a lot. There is a yard where you can walk up to the kangaroos. The only thing between you and the kangaroos is a long piece of dead wood. The Wells Fargo Barn has some baby animals left to pet. You can even walk into the goat pen and feed them!! There is a Zoo employee there in case the goats get a little rough.
This is by far the most beautiful zoo I have ever visited. The sheer number of different species, as well as the beauty of the habitats is amazing. Although there were plenty of people there, the zoo is large enough to make it feel as if you are not crowded in. The information at each of the exhibits was very helpful, allowing readers to know things that were both important and interesting. I also enjoyed reading about the zoo's conservation efforts, as there are a number of endangered species housed at the zoo. If you are a lover of zoos, this one is a must.
we love this zoo, too many kinds of animals and clean, not too crowded
Love it! We go all the time with our Membership! Thank you!
