Always a fun time to go with the kids. More fun with no Covid19
Lots of fun to visit, recommend getting a membership if you have kids and live near.
Great zoo. Very spacious with animals from all over the world.
Fun zoo, with great attractions! We came when there was construction, so the zoo was not as exciting as anticipated, but still a good time for the whole family.
The Jack O Lantern Spectacular was outstanding! Definitely going back every year.
Awesome zoo with large enclosures -- be ready to walk a lot! Only wish they had more of the typical African megafauna
One of the better American zoos, it has gone downhill a bit since the 90's, but they are trying to make a come back with fairly extensive plans. Well laid out and lots of volunteers to help with all of your questions.
Have loved coming here since I was a child. Great zoo with plenty to see. The standouts are the tropical area and the aquarium part.
They kind of lack in the large animal department like lions and elephants.
Still very clean and well laid out.
Great place to bring the kids, all the exhibits are always well kept, and stay up to date, love taking the kids here, and walking all around, long walking paths, and a couple of nice parks for the kids to play at.
I absolutely love this place and the animals look very happy to be there
There are great trails and fun animals galore. Young adult nights are a fun hangout!
We love that you can get in free with foodstamps but I do not recommend going in the early spring because there are slim to none animals
Amazing atmosphere, great zoo. Probably the best I have ever been to.
Not every exhibit was open but my children enjoyed everything. My son ran his mouth about touching a shark.
Wonderful place to take the little ones to kill some time.
The Imax here is awesome, only place I'll go to see movies
This zoo is awesome! The theater shows new releases in IMAX, and it has a wide range of facinating animals in some really extensive habitats!
We had a great time. A lot of things to see. We were there 4 hours and don't think we saw it all. The shark feeding was interesting!
Really nice they have a splash pad for the kids and a park too...nice lama experience you get to walk along them ....water and food expensive...nice family outing
Minnesota Zoo is such a great place! Friendly volunteers filled with knowledge and helpful staff! Very clean zoo you can tell it's well kept up with and the people there really love the animals!
Have a membership which gives you reciprocity to other zoos too! Always have fun when we come down to visit.
Great experience for kids. Loved it. We have been to the drive through zoo twice this year, once during the day and once at night.
Nice zoo, lots of spots for kids to take breaks and fun adult programming
Its fun but get the season pass it only takes twice or three times to pay for
Good zoo. Very clean. Obviously if you don't like kids go somewhere else.
I went to the pumpkin spooctacular thing. It was really cool seeing all the pumpkins.
Had a great time at the zoo! Reasonable prices for admission and parking and the amount they do charge is for conservation of species. You can also bring in your own food and drink to picnic on the grounds or they have a variety of food offered at different food courts (indoor and outdoor)
There is a playground and splash pad for kids if you need a break from walking around. Plenty of outdoor and indoor exhibits and a different variety of animals than the Como Zoo.
What can I say? It's the Minnesota Zoo! It's a great zoo with many things to see and do. A whole ton of variety of animals to see and enjoy here. A nice little playground and water pad for kids to play at. Food court to eat at, along with "street" vendors with kiosks spread throughout to sell food and beverages just be prepared to do a lot of walking and to fork out a lot of money $$$. That's my only gripe about this place, but I understand it's expensive to maintain such an impressive zoo.
This is a superb zoo. WE LOVE IT! Wish we could visit more often but too far away. Summer at the Minnesota Zoo is amazing!!! Food, service, animals are well kept. Lots to do and CLEAN! Thank you!
Not a fan of zoos but this place does a good job at trying to keep their animals happy, nice selection of animals definitely somewhere to take their kids.
Beautifully maintained zoo, with plenty of exhibits
Went for a concert, it rained all of the first half (I did score a free poncho, thank you Mn Zoo), the bench seats are a little hard, but I loved the concert!
I'll go again, but with a cushion to sit in.
An engaging and edutaining Zoo! They have a plethora of interactive environments for young children including: cool tunnels, crawl spaces, interactive walkways and a splash pad! Always something to explore and wonder at. Staff are very knowledgeable and great at engaging and bringing animal facts alive for anyone who asks.
Mother's Day 2018. The zoo is wonderful anytime- but I wish more would have been open/available today.
Wonderful outdoor AND indoor spaces for the animals.
LOVEEE. My son and I had so much to talk about during and after the visit. Definitely would suggest wearing comfortable shoes. Lots of walking and you're going to want to see it all.
Great place to take your little ones and the bird show is awesome. My only problem is i wish their was more animals
The Minnesota Zoo pass is one of the greatest investments a family good have. Thank you
One of my favorite Minnesota attractions. We took a holiday class with our preschooler and boy did we have fun!
It is a very nice place for kids to enjoy weekends !!!
It was great seeing all the animals and fish and then cooling off on the water spray really good day
It's a really fun place lots of animals and great for field trips
Me and my family of 4 had a wonderful day. Started outside and made our way to every exhibit. Lhama Trek was a blast. Went outside to our car for a trunk lunch and went back inside to cool off in the inside zoo parts. Wonderful day full of memories.
This zoo is unlike most as the animals are not caged up in a concrete cell. Lots of hard work and money was invested in this huge wildlife paradise. It's a little expensive to get in but you will see why after your visit. I will return for another visit after the snow melts.
There was a pretty cool bird show. Almost got impaled by a bird.
There are lots of things you can do here. From sea life, to rainforest, butterflies, apes, cats and more...there are plenty to see. I was there for about 4 hours and was not able to see everything. There is a play area for kids to climb on outside as well as some fountains to splash in. If your not into animals the IMAX is an option. Be prepared to pay for parking in addition to admission.
We love visiting often! Lots of indoor stuff for cold and rainy days. We can go several times a year and see different things. We loved the kangaroo feeding this summer!
Defiantly get your exercise there! All the opportunities to do stuff with the animals and get hands on made our toddlers have a blast
The Minnesota Zoo was amazing! They had a quite a variety of animals. You get to pet the Rays and Leopard Sharks, and if you're lucky some of the other animals as well.. it took about 4 hours to see all the animals, excluding the farm animals, and there were plenty of rest areas along the way. My inner kid came out and I really enjoyed myself there. Definitely a great place for families. They also hosted an adult night that didn't allow children in so its also great for couples
My place to go when the little ones can t get outside. I ve been a member on and off for years. I just recently started signing the 2 and 8 Y/O with classes, and I am even more impressed. We can usually hit 2 areas in one day and the aquarium is a must. Always cleaner than I would expect some place this busy. Food court is pricey but doable in a pinch.
We had a fun time but were a little disappointed that they don't have a wider variety of animals. No lions, zebras, elephants, giraffes, etc. Getting the chance to pet sharks was very cool though!
We've been going to the Minnesota zoo for years, before kids and after. The experience is superb both ways. The exhibits seem to give the animals as much possible natural space while still making viewing easy. Also finding a great spot to walk around indoors during winter, and the giant indoor sandbox for the kids makes it an easy reason to drive in February .
Had a pretty good time here. There were lots of different species, and the grounds were clean.
Large zoo, but we thought it would have giraffe, hippos Ect
