Just bought and puppy there over the weekend. Lots of choices for dogs. Staff was very throughall from dog food to training and kennels. Was very impressed.

Not to bad of a place to get dog treats. Boarded my small dog there. He did just fine.

Great stuff I go here at least once a month to trim my guniea pig toe nails

I went to mini critters looking for new food for my pet cat. I had no idea I should have been feeding my cat canned cat food for all these years! Kaylee was an excellent help and was very patient with me. She was very efficient and friendly! Overall, I loved my experience at mini critters and I will be returning!

DON'T BUY ANY RODENTS!
I bought a young rat there a couple months ago and I didn't know he had little mites, and he gave them to my other rat and eventually they spread and now my cats have them too. They are everywhere! They are so tiny it is very hard to see them. The babies are practically invisible. I have bathed them over and over with different shampoos and medications but they breed so fast that they become infested again. They're everywhere in my house, I need to gas the place. DO NOT buy pets from this place.

they treat their animals horribly and this place should be shut down

We have just recently gotten our second puppy from them. Customer service was great, very friendly. Had our first vet check yesterday and our pup checked out fine. Our other dog is 6 years old and is very healthy. If I had more space for another puppy I would go back. :) Thanks for everything guys! Look forward to coming in to get more supplies for our dogs.

The staff here is pretty knowledgeable and friendly ! Get all my reptile stuff here normally, and dog food. They get bug shipments on Tuesdays for anyone needing dubia, super worms or crickets and such. :)

I have had some up and down experiences here. The first rats ive purchased were very happy and healthy. But a problem happened when one man sold us two females and one male. I was looking for all males. Later realizing i had two genders, and extra $80 was spent to get a new cage. The next visit we had was to purchase another male for my current one (since rats cannot live alone without suffrage), and we ended up purchasing an unhealthy rat. Now its beyond the petstores control on if their rats get sick, but they shouldn't sell the ill ones. On another note; while picking up the second rat (we reserved him because we were going shopping a bit before heading home) a worker asked a coworker if we were the people who paid for the rat; and he got the responce of "If doesn't matter, as long as its paid for." This means anyone could of walked in and said they were the person who paid for said reserved animal, and been able to take it home.

The folks in here are really nice. The ladies at the grooming part was so sweet to Husker! Thank you so much for being kind to him!

Great local pet shop with plenty of variety. Fish, reptiles, small mammals etc. Many brands of pet food available. Aquarium/lizard tanks, substrate, dishes and anything you could think of to outfit a reptile habitat. Neat shop, we will be back.

We have purchased 2 amazing rabbits from them. They don't have much selection though. Decent little pet store though.

Very smart, young, and willing staff. I was down right amazed to see the knowledge a teenage staff could have. Yes they still have their older leaders to guide them on the right path. But it was made obvious this staff of young teens was trained right. From fish tank help, all the way to feeding the right food for my dog. Incredible staff you have here mini-critters, will definitely be returning!

I went in there to pick up a chain and asked the clerk there where I could find one and he was just being arrogant and rude. And he just wanted to argue with me! Never going back!

Mini critters is now ran by an amazing guy called Ryan who has taken all the staff, gotten all new and did a total 180! I now do frequent business here.

Owners just care about the money and not about the welfare of the animals. The puppies come from puppy mills and have behavior and numerous health problems.

Rude, uninformed staff (especially Eric) and only puppy mill dogs for sale. The puppies being sold are kept in cruel conditions. Over priced. Avoid this place!

Mini-Critters is great. We take our dog there once a week for doggie day care. She ALWAYS comes home tired and sleepy. The people that work there enjoy their job and you can tell. Their treat selection is great too!

Always do a great job grooming and took very good care of our fur baby when we were out of town. Our puppy is always excited to see the staff and they are excited to see her!

Very knowledgeable staff, came in to learn about different brands of dog food. Will and Ryan were very helpful and showed that they cared about my dogs health and knew what was best for my 3 year old spaniel. Very satisfied.

Everyone is always willing to help they will answer any question for you and they have the cutest pets

Came in, could hear dogs yelping and barking from their back room, walked back to the fish area, saw multiple dead fish, mostly betas, left unattended in their containers. Very disappointed and saddened by what I saw. Snakes were kept in cramped conditions as well as were the puppies.

The staff at mini-critters do an awesome job of helping you find what you are looking for and they have a great selection of products to pick from.

My favorite pet store. In a big city like Sioux Falls, it's nice to have a local small town feel. The staff are always willing to answer questions or help find something.

Mini critters also has employees with expert knowledge over pet food and proper nutrition. You also find a rare courtesy at this store which is how the employees always are more than willing to help you carry your stuff to the car! Mini Critters is locally owned by a family who has a passion for animals. Definitely will be returning!!

The staff and services are awesome, top notch grooming, excellent selection and set-up. Everyone there is always willing to help. I also wouldn't board my dog anywhere else....just a great place all around.

Picked up a bunny here.. Good experience, healthy bunny. A little on the $$ side but will seems to be good

The groomer had her very excited pomerianian in the store with her that greeted me in the grooming area and I've never felt so loved and greeted by anybody before. Can't wait to take my doggy back and get to hug that one again.

I have been going to Mini Critters for many years..my best guess is since 1995. Not only would I recommend Mini Critters to others I would encourage you to just stop in to visit the animals! Not only is this good for you emotionally it can help with depression & it helps the animals as well! The owner is very knowledgeable about his product & animals in general! Ty for being such a great place for animals & humans to connect!

Are family got snakes & bunny from there and I loved it there because is was so warm felling and the employees are so nice I haven't been there in a while but I soon hope I can come again. Thank you mini critters

Dogs we ve bought from them all have very short lives. Water on the brain, and heart defects are two examples. It breaks my heart. I will never buy from them again.

I needed a hobby and have always liked watching fish. With saltwater fish being more colorful and having more options than freshwater fish, I decided to go that route. Mark has been assisting me with this new hobby since I started about 6 months ago and has gone above and beyond what he really needs to do to help me out...even cutting me some deals on things! For people thinking about getting into the fish hobby, just ask for Mark and he will take care of you!

My dogs ended up with kennel cough and now I am paying for meds besides the poor grooming and weekend stay.

I hate this place and They sell the worst fish at all. All the employee are rude and chit chatting when the general Manager/owner Mark. As for the fish related The tank was dirty and filthy. In the main tank with the cichlid in They have Ich problems and Mix with different fish. They don't know how to clean the tanks. The fish they sell are sick or have disease. I never ever buy from them at all. It made me cringe how the too many clown loach in one small tank (20 gallon). They haven't special order to you at all when requested. Every week I been there there is no new fish but very weak order. The puppy are weak and Puppy mill supporter(hidden from the public). Mark give me discounts on the large price fish or medium size fish. Suck for them they are losing money to some of the people. There are people who clean their tank is not working there. Some random person was cleaning the tank without Employee shirt or NO ID. For the live birds They have them in worst condition in small cages I think Petsmart take good care for the bird than mini critter. Mini critter sinks I don't like the smell. mark throw some dead fish away in the trash can. Often mislabeled the fish. Last year I got Redtail Hybrid catfish for 9 dollar. Suppose to cost like $29.99. I trick one the employee which didn't know about catfish. Don't support the puppy mill. I read other review on here and different places. They need more employees that have experience about fish, and aquarium. I was the fish place and employee in the front talking. No one to help in the fish section. To the owner and all of the employees YOU need to CLEAN THE FISH TANK and Sell the fish for cheap prices. I been there other months some was worst than petsmart/wal mart. They can get whatever they want. To Mark Don't stand there and do nothing but Help the customer. I wont going there anymore at all from now

They sell local products for my dog that were made in Sioux Falls! Friendly staff and well priced items!

Some friends and I stopped in to look at toys for my puppy. I Myself own a bearded dragon so it was disturbing to see ALL the bearded dragons water/food bowls completely empty and dried up. Then the not for sale ever! sign on their tanks, made me upset. One was clearly unhappy and constantly running into the glass:( I ve never had a problem with mini critters so this shocked me

Top of the line local pet shop. It has puppies and a variety of other animals as well as various fish (salt and fresh) as well as corals. They also offer boarding and grooming. On top of all that they offer supplies for all of those animals, like fish tanks, anything you'd need for them, dog beds, dog food, cat food, bowls, medicine, etc. Always a nice experience especially if you're looking to support smaller local businesses.

They were very nice and helped me find what I needed.

This place used to be great but ever since the core staff left to start their own shop this place has really gone down hill.

Adopted a young guinea pig 3 weeks ago. Staff was very helpful and patient. I adore their staff and the atmosphere in general.

Also, a variety of helpful services including pet grooming, pet hotel, pet birthday parties, doggy daycare, and obedience classes, and water sampling for fish. They have plenty of unique merchandise like pet ice cream, NFL merchandise, and cute boots and sweaters! Mini critters also has employees with expert knowledge over pet food and proper nutrition to keep your pets healthy. Another unique cork is how the employees always are more than willing to help you carry your stuff to the car! Mini Critters is owned by a family who has a passion for animals. Definitely worth your time going and checking out the variety of animals! It's like a free petting zoo!

Cool pet store, lots of stuff for the normal furry pets while also carrying a good selection for the reptile and fish people like me. Friendly staff and good prices too. Nice to see a wide variety of corals.

Groomers always do a great job with our dogs. Quick and convenient!

Mom had to go to the hospital so we boarded her dog where she was purchased. They made it sound like a spa. You could pay extra for niceties. But when I went to pick her up I asked to see her. They took me back to a cold dark pen with a slanted floor that had urine from other animals running down the floor. She was huddled in the corner dripping wet with urine from who knows how many other animals. She was sick after that and never did get over it. Developed urinary stones. She died a horrific death from a bacteria that the vet couldn't get rid of. I think it started there and lead to a horrific death very young (4 yo). I would never do business with them again. Even in a crisis.

They have cute puppies but very expensive 1,200 for a puppy.

Went to get my dog groomed and Lashawn did an awesome job, will diffently be goin back to her!

Nice little pet/pet supply store. I use the self washing station for my lab. My only complaint is that the provided shampoo is pretty watered down so it's tough to get a good wash, even when I used the whole bottle. Next time I'll bring my own.
