KLC Financial, Inc. Review

Due to financial hardship, I decided to move out from the rented townhome that I had with KLC and find a cheaper place to live with my son who I am supporting.
I have had an excellent history with the above entity and the owners of KLC, I was never late on payment and kept the place in an excellent condition and at times I got an outside contractors for repairs without asking the property management for help.
I was up front with my decision with them and I told them that I will be finding a sub-leaser for my unit so I can get my security deposit back in full. They were very un-cooperative and they turned down the people that I brought to sublease for various reasons, some of which I could not really understand.
Anyway, they finally approved one and they were very strict on the date the I am supposed to evacuate the house and imposed a $200 per day if I do not evacuate the house on time, knowing that it is in the middle of the week (sept.1, 2016) and knowing that I work at a bank and it is hard to get a couple of days off during the week even when the new renters and myself showed flexibility and willing to work it out over the weekend.
I left the house spotless, shampooed the carpet and cleaning the garage. I received the security deposit check but not for the whole amount. They returned only $530.00 out of the $1350.00.
The charged me 250.00 for additional half day and $220.00 for carpet cleaning, and another $350.00 for removal of screws from walls. I can't understand what type of screws that cost me $350 to take off! I never had this issue with any property I rent before, I always used to get my security deposit in full because I clean very well and leave the place spotless.This is a plain theft, and I cannot find any other words to describe it.
I don't recommend those people to anyone.

The KLC team is wonderful! Everyone there is friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They take the time to listen to the customer to create a solution that fits the customer's needs. KLC is a great partner!

My friend went through KLC Financial to buys a Semi and I unfortunately had cosigned for him. The original loan was for 12,000 dollars.Not even a month after the truck was bought he had already paid 2500.00 on it cause they kept messing with the paperwork and he kept owing more. Within 3 months the truck went into the shop.. They came and repoe'd the truck from the shop after it was fixed. I had received paperwork as a cosigner that they were going to take it to court unless he could find financing for it He had a company that he worked for that was willing to just pay it all off in full so I assumed that it would be done and over with. Well they wouldn't let the guys buy it for what he thought he owed. They wanted almost 25000 for the truck that he had originally paid only 12000 for..I was never once contacted as a cosigner to make any payments and didn't see the truck after they repo'd it. Apparently they were able to resell the truck. well they went and took a judgment out on him and me over this truck after they already made there money back off of it. Not to mention I cosigned for a 12000 loan and now have a judgement against me for 25,453. The agents are arrogant and very unwilling to talk to you and treat you like scum. I would never recommend anyone to go through this company..THEY WILL SCREW YOU OVER!!!!

I have worked with many finance companies in my 29 years in the machine tool business and KLC has one of the most seamless, expedient funding processes available. Spencer is great to work with.

I am disapointed that there are only 5 stars to give. This company and the people who work there are truly exceptional.

Lesley Farmer is an unusual banker! I have nick-named her "spark plug" because she is full of energy, life and enthusiasm to make a deal work. In my experience, too many bankers will tell you what you want to hear as they are crossing their fingers behind their back knowing they can't help. Lesley on the other hand will shoot you straight! If a relationship makes sense, she will bust her ass to make your deal a priority and in a deal-structure that's workable for the immediate and for your downrange plans. Thanks Lesley for helping us with our financing at Sky Zone Elmhurst--we will be looking to you for our next phase of innovation financing.

I have been working with KLC for a few years and have 5 loans with them. I have been nothing but pleased with the entire staff. Lesley has been able to fund every deal I have approached her with. Banks have become hard to work with and it is very nice to have a lender that still wants to work with it's customers! I recommend all of my friends to KLC.

I have been in the equipment financing industry for almost 20 yrs. We have worked with KLC a few times and I like the way they think out of the box and truly want to get deals done, competitively. Their follow up is also great !!

KLC has bent over backwards for me! After a wreck they worked with me to get a replacement truck asap!!!!! Stongly recommond them!!!!!!! 2 years after I posted this review I still highly recommend KLC. I've sent work their way. And will continue working with them for years to come.

Working with KLC was a very professional and pleasure to work with. My own bank that I was working with to sell a piece of equipment gave me such a hard time trying to sell it but Spencer at KLC not only had the patience and professionalism to work with them but he got the job done. If you need to work with a company to purchase equipment my advice would be to give KLC chance you will not be disappointed.

Lesley Farmer did an oustanding job of providing excellence service on our new least. This is our school's third lease with KLC Financial. The process was seamless! I would highly recommend KLC Financial for your leasing needs.

KLC Financial came through for me lending me money in a time many, many banks turned my new startup business down. We ultimately thrived, and continued with multiple projects funded by KLC. We never could have grown to the size we have without funding from KLC, and we are very grateful for all they have done for us throughout the last 7 years.

I used KLC to finance a refurbished CT scanner for my growing veterinary imaging business in 2010. They paid the vendor (then already convicted for grand fraud in the state of Wisconsin) the entire sum of purchase without requiring any proof that the equipment was available or in process of refurbishment. Unfortunately for my family and the two children I had in college at the time, the equipment was never delivered.

The case went to litigation within 12 months, but KLC cowardly hid behind their contract language and took no responsibility for the problem at all. They sold the paper on the loan on the first day and forced the buyer of that paper to collect from my family.

In 2014, I have still not received delivery on the purchased equipment, but I have paid for it ... to the detriment of my children's college education. This was a $45,000 purchase. Not the kind of thing that any family can absorb without some serious pain. But KLC has their money ...they had it in the first day of the contract.

I believe that the folks at KLC are not reasonable and you should be particularly wary of them if you plan to sign a deal with them. I believe that they (especially Jared) must live for the "deal". They do not really give a darn about what happens after they are paid. If you do not get your $45,000 worth of equipment, it is not their problem.

I would want anyone interested in this company to be very careful about negotiating a deal. They are willing to deal with vendors who are already suspect and are careful enough to keep the deal intact for them ... even if it cost someone else a great deal when it is not fulfilled. And I believe they knew all along that there was an incredible risk for me in the deal, but could not look past the potential profit for them.

DO NOT take your business here, I took a loan out to purchase a tractor trailer and after 6 months I wanted to pay my note in full just to find out i owed 10k more than I originally asked for plus they have a lien on not only the tractor but also my classic car. Stay away from these people, for the record klc does not deal with there problems either they have special help from a company called contract care, you don't actually speak to the loan officer you originally started the loan with and if you do by some miracle get in touch with them they will feed you full of lies and never return a call back. Do yourself a favor and don't become a victim to these Crooks
