The Orpheum is a class act. Consummate professionals in the Memphis theater scene.
Goregeous old theatre that has been beautifully restored.
Awesome time at the Orpheum with my daughter's Facing History program. Mr. Anthony Ray Hinton spoke on his book, The Sun Does SHINE (How I found life and Freedom on death row). An awesome testimony.
Beautifully restored historic theater in the heart of downtown Memphis. I've seen several concerts here and it's a great venue for live performances.
Great old building for seeing a show. Nice architecture inside and out. Try to hit the basement restrooms during intermission to avoid the crowds. My girlfriend and I saw a show here and weren't let down.
I've done many shows here really love going to this place
I always enjoy shows at the Orpheum, from classic movies to intimate concerts, and of course, musicals. It's too bad the seats are made for munchkins. I don't see that changing any time, well, ever, but it doesn't keep me from coming back. Bought tickets for our next show as soon as the curtain dropped on the last one.
Fantastic shows and gorgeous atmosphere. The staff is top notch and the experience is always amazing. The only thing that takes away from the surviving vaudeville theatre, is that the seating is still cramped and the lower cost seats are very narrow.
Always a pleasure to visit the Orpheum. I love watching movies on the big screen. Walk the line was the movie tonight. It was fun to be in the audience at the Orpheum & watch the movie scenes filmed in the Orpheum!
Beautiful theatre. It seems like there are no bad seats.
You know what would be awesome is if you CLEANED THE GRAFFITI OFF THE STAGE SCREEN BEFORE CHARGING A BUTTLOAD FOR MELLENCAMP. that'd be swell. The ushers told people they couldnt stand to dance during the show. Sacrilegious. Damn the man.
One of the beautiful theater I have ever been to. Ztadd was very helpful and accommodative.
Went to see The Color Purple last night for Valentine's The show was great and the staff is absolutely wonderful
Extremely friendly staff at this Broadway quality, old world theatre.
Like stepping into another time, in a good way! And the show was unbelievably fabulous!
Theater is beautiful. Seats are extremely uncomfortable.
Metal detectors and security present. Beautifully maintained. The staff was courteous.
My first time to experience this grand theater! It was wonderful!
Beautiful historic space. It s great to have a place so close to home where I can see great theatre
Majestic and Classical venue for seeing a Broadway play.
Always great shows. I love the acoustics of rock concerts at the Orpheum.
Play was awesome, theater was very nice but had a bit of audio issues.
Our first time to the Orpheus Theater Memphis was for a Brit Floyd concert. I was impressed with the venue. The building was almost a sell out and very crowded but the AC still kept the building comfortable. The ascetics of the building are something to be seen. It was beautiful inside. The acoustics were excellent for a concert. We sat in then middle of the orchestra section (right center) and had great eye lines with the stage. I would like to sell anything else that they put on. The only drawbacks were the parking lot directly across the street jacks the price up during events which is not run by the Orpheum. There seemed to be a lot more women's restrooms than men's.
Great historical building. We used the valet parking which made getting in and out of the show a breeze. Very helpful staff, great sound and lights. Overall, a top notch experience.
Beautiful audio, beautiful decorations. Bringing very nice shows.
A Memphis Treasure! Have seen many a grand performance here; the staff are always polite and the venue is classic and pristine. Bravo :)
Amazing place with terrific events! Love going to see things here.
Unparalleled! The theater itself is beautiful and the workers are friendly and helpful. Hamilton was sooooo fantastic!
Awesome place, would love to see more shows there.
The play was amazing, the actors were exceptional. The only complaint I have of the Orpheum, is they don't have seating for handicapped before the play starts, and they need larger bathrooms for women.
I enjoyed "It's A Wonderful Life" there! I attended it with friends. Our canned goods, donations, benefited Mid-South Arts Against Hunger. It was a great crowd. Pictures were taken with Santa Claus before the Show. We sang Christmas songs before the Show, too. We enjoyed the movie! The Staff was friendly. The atmosphere was great!
I really like the Orpheum. This year we saw Phanton of the Opera, Les Mis, Band of Horses. The seating options are varied, but generally good. Only complaint is of the overpriced alchohol.
A wonderful historic theater. I love just being in the building.
A Memphis must! The Orpheum brings Broadway, films, concerts, and arts experiences to the Bluff City with style, grace, and years of experience. Events can be pricey, so take advantage of student/teacher rush when applicable. Worth it if you can afford!
This is an absolutely beautiful theatre. I love that it is smaller because it feels more intimate. It's location, right off Beale Street is perfect.
I went to see the Broadway Musical Hamilton and I loved it!! It's a must see. I do wish the seats had more space.
We went to see Hamilton. The play was awesome. The theater was a little warm. We were able to see the entire play without any problems.
I really enjoyed seeing Sarah McLachlan here on 2/22/19! I bought my ticket just one week prior to the show and was still about to get a FABULOUS seat in Section J Orchestra in the 9th row! It wasn't like the place was empty either. I think I lucked out because I was by myself and just needed a single ticket. Anyway, the two complaints I DO have are that there aren't cupholders on the armrests because the last TWO times I've been there, someone has knocked over my drink, and that costs me money every time to refill it, and also the upstairs restroom stinks badly! The middle stall won't flush toilet paper all the way down either. One would THINK that with the amount of money they charge for shows and fees to be held at the famous Orpheum Theater, you would find better amenities, such as cupholders and clean-smelling restrooms with properly functioning toilets...
Rent, another great show at Memphis' premiere stage!
If only I had money I would go to every show I also love going to the summer movies
I was actually filming outside on main but I've always been inspired by the theater!
Uncomfortably close seats. Other than that it's a beautiful venue!
Wonderful, friendly and helpful staff. Very clean. Highly recommend seeing most any show here.
Been several times..if you are more than 205 lbs. Best not try these little seats
Very classy venue for any event. Consistently good customer service too!
Easy to get to on the street car. Close to lots of stuff to do. Amazing shows. Decent seats. Show was amazing
First time I've been since I was a kid and they've made some major upgrades. Service is great, and everything is clean and nice looking.
Love this place! Got to catch Fiddler on the Roof with the original cast, Joseph as well as other plays.
Beautiful place! GET ON YOUR FEET the Gloria Estefan story was great.
It is so beautiful inside. We had balcony seats pretty high up, but had no trouble at all seeing and enjoying the play.
Saw David Feherty. Great show but the seats are kind of tight.
Beautiful venue. Check out their site to see upcoming events.
Went to the Orpheum to see Phantom of the Opera. Renovations are underway and the ones that are completed look absolutely gorgeous. The seats are still small with a little less leg room than comfortable, but you forget that once you start getting into the spectacle of the play. The Orpheum has a playbill for each season that usually has at least three plays that I want to see and they also have activities for school children and other activities such as movie Nights for adults. All in all a great place.
Lots of great fun though out the years musical concerts plays ballets and etc. !!!!
Have season tickets for years. Great shows and history
Broadway shows beautiful historical building and the best stage hands in memphis
I was very pleased with the hospitality I received st theOrpheun Theatre
