Awesome time at the Orpheum with my daughter's Facing History program. Mr. Anthony Ray Hinton spoke on his book, The Sun Does SHINE (How I found life and Freedom on death row). An awesome testimony.

Great old building for seeing a show. Nice architecture inside and out. Try to hit the basement restrooms during intermission to avoid the crowds. My girlfriend and I saw a show here and weren't let down.

I always enjoy shows at the Orpheum, from classic movies to intimate concerts, and of course, musicals. It's too bad the seats are made for munchkins. I don't see that changing any time, well, ever, but it doesn't keep me from coming back. Bought tickets for our next show as soon as the curtain dropped on the last one.

Fantastic shows and gorgeous atmosphere. The staff is top notch and the experience is always amazing. The only thing that takes away from the surviving vaudeville theatre, is that the seating is still cramped and the lower cost seats are very narrow.

Always a pleasure to visit the Orpheum. I love watching movies on the big screen. Walk the line was the movie tonight. It was fun to be in the audience at the Orpheum & watch the movie scenes filmed in the Orpheum!

You know what would be awesome is if you CLEANED THE GRAFFITI OFF THE STAGE SCREEN BEFORE CHARGING A BUTTLOAD FOR MELLENCAMP. that'd be swell. The ushers told people they couldnt stand to dance during the show. Sacrilegious. Damn the man.

Our first time to the Orpheus Theater Memphis was for a Brit Floyd concert. I was impressed with the venue. The building was almost a sell out and very crowded but the AC still kept the building comfortable. The ascetics of the building are something to be seen. It was beautiful inside. The acoustics were excellent for a concert. We sat in then middle of the orchestra section (right center) and had great eye lines with the stage. I would like to sell anything else that they put on. The only drawbacks were the parking lot directly across the street jacks the price up during events which is not run by the Orpheum. There seemed to be a lot more women's restrooms than men's.

The play was amazing, the actors were exceptional. The only complaint I have of the Orpheum, is they don't have seating for handicapped before the play starts, and they need larger bathrooms for women.

I enjoyed "It's A Wonderful Life" there! I attended it with friends. Our canned goods, donations, benefited Mid-South Arts Against Hunger. It was a great crowd. Pictures were taken with Santa Claus before the Show. We sang Christmas songs before the Show, too. We enjoyed the movie! The Staff was friendly. The atmosphere was great!

A Memphis must! The Orpheum brings Broadway, films, concerts, and arts experiences to the Bluff City with style, grace, and years of experience. Events can be pricey, so take advantage of student/teacher rush when applicable. Worth it if you can afford!

I really enjoyed seeing Sarah McLachlan here on 2/22/19! I bought my ticket just one week prior to the show and was still about to get a FABULOUS seat in Section J Orchestra in the 9th row! It wasn't like the place was empty either. I think I lucked out because I was by myself and just needed a single ticket. Anyway, the two complaints I DO have are that there aren't cupholders on the armrests because the last TWO times I've been there, someone has knocked over my drink, and that costs me money every time to refill it, and also the upstairs restroom stinks badly! The middle stall won't flush toilet paper all the way down either. One would THINK that with the amount of money they charge for shows and fees to be held at the famous Orpheum Theater, you would find better amenities, such as cupholders and clean-smelling restrooms with properly functioning toilets...

Went to the Orpheum to see Phantom of the Opera. Renovations are underway and the ones that are completed look absolutely gorgeous. The seats are still small with a little less leg room than comfortable, but you forget that once you start getting into the spectacle of the play. The Orpheum has a playbill for each season that usually has at least three plays that I want to see and they also have activities for school children and other activities such as movie Nights for adults. All in all a great place.
