Great theater with wonderful people and quality shows. Be aware, seats in the balcony are a little tight if you're of above average height.

An iconic and treasured beauty of the city of Memphis!
The decision to not ever show Gone with the Wind again offends me. Buh-bye.
Beautiful historic theater, great place to see a stage show.
This is a beautiful older theatre, nice and cool. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The only downside is the leg room and space between seats, but that is expected for an older theatre. Overall great experience.
My husband and I went back in November to see Alton Brown. This theatre is incredibly beautiful. The details are so intricate and elegant. We would love to come back for another event.
Seats can be tight. All views are great. Great sounds system.
My mom and I went for the Anita Baker concert and she and I had a ball! 3 stars for the Orpheum due to the lack of space between the seats towards the doors. It's like they arranged the seating to pack as many bodies in as possible without considering the confort of the guests. We literally had to get up and out of our seats each time someone arrived. I hated that my mom had to constantly do that. The rows toward the front had ample space but tickets were $200 more. My tickets weren't cheap either and but I expected to be comfortable. The concert was great but the venue needs better seating accommodations.
Went to see the Color Purple and the experience was GREAT! I LOVE THE Orpheum
Great experience, medium theater size for intimate experience
One of my favorite venues for broadway style plays!
I've seen more than a dozen shows here, and I love the atmosphere and classic elegance. A true Memphis gem!
Beautiful building, well kept. Its is best if you can get your tickets early, as the box office is rather small. Parking is almost non-existent, and costs more for special events. The closest lots were $20 even tho the website advertised $10. The lot a block over was $15, and i assume lots further out were cheaper. The horse buggies circle this area and there are several restaurants nearby. The restrooms were spacious and clean.
I love these old historical buildings, absolutely beautiful inside and out, We go to plays about once a month and there's really not a bed seat in the house
It always has great shows. Just avoid the highest levels.
The show was good.and the place was very nice and clean.
When To the price is right show The inside of the orpheum is beautiful
Love the place. Always clean and beverages are on point.
The Orpheum theatre is my favorite place. The musical shows I saw were spectacular. A NYC Broadway experience in Memphis TN. I love the Orpheum theatre
Amazingly elegant look and feel. Lots of concession areas throughout the lobby and so many bathrooms. Plenty off staff to help show you to your seat. Acoustics were fantastic as well. One of the best concert experiences I've ever had!
Errbody needs to see Harry in concert. Symphony was awesome!!!!
Got to see the Anita Baker farewell show! Awesome experience, her voice is still gold.
My first musical, I loved the show, however the system they have with seating and ordering drinks needs to be organized better than this.
Clean restrooms, nice staff. We also visited the Halloran center next door and it was very new and. Nice as well.
I loved the Color Purple Production. Thank you daughter Erica DENT
The Orpheum is a nationally recognized historic venue in downtown Memphis. What I love most is that it has still maintained a vintage vibe and feel. No matter if you're attending a play, a concert, a ballet, a comedy show - you name it and it still feels very retro. Definitely a staple here in Memphis. Everyone has attended an event here at least once. Prices are really affordable also!
International Blues Challenge was there... Victor Wainwright was there. Hope you don't have to ask who Victor is. If you don't know Victor you don't know ........ Blues.
The Orpheum has always been a great venue for performances. The Maze concert was fabulous!!!!
Helpful and courteous staff, excellent venue for a wide range of performances. Parking available in the area, though the price is a bit high.
Visiting Beale Street is a must if you're in the area
We really enjoy going to the Orpheum. Our last visit was to see Harry Connick, Jr. Great show.
I appreciate the Orpheum Theatre for considering the patrons who have voiced their concerns about the traditional viewing of Gone with the Wind, a decision, I strongly believe, that was not made from political positioning but from genuine concern and feedback from regular patrons. These are very sensitive times in Memphis (and the country), and they made the smart and mature choice not to take part in exacerbating the tension. Thank you for doing what's right, Orpheum Memphis.
We visited the Orpheum for the I AM A MAN Commemoration. It was a wonderful experience.
