Classic spot that's been open since the thirties, but updated enough that it doesn't feel stuffy or outdated. Rotating specials and seasonally updated better menus keep things fresh, but the classics are solid and the staff is friendly and attentive. TVs in the bar area and to the right of the restaurant, but not in the main dining area. Literal steps away from Wabash/Lake stop and open until four AM. What's not to love?

Bumped in to the Millers pub whilst on the lookout for authentic Chicago drink and food place. On the first impression, you could tell there's a history in the building. I have to admit though that my expectation was more of an Irish pub rather than restaurant but I can't say I was disappointed. The service was good, food and beverage selection was also extensive.
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that we felt rushed out a bit once we finished eating.

Food is good. I ordered two eggs (over medium) with hash browns (extra crispy) and ham. My food was cooked all wrong. Egg yolks were hard, the hash browns were soggy, and the ham was cold. It was edible, but when I approached the lady at the counter, she gave me an attitude. Poor customer service! I won't eat here again.

1 for the service. 1 for the ambiance. 1 for the beer menu. 1 for the fries. 1 for the mushroom truffle and 4 alarm burgers.

Great, quick spot to grab a bite and a drink.

I went to the Taste of Chicago on Sunday (7/10/16).

I purchased a smoked turkey leg, from MILLER S PUB, and it was HORRIBLE to say the least. Not only was the meat tough, it was tasteless and blood was near the bone. It was garbage and I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!

VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

Excellent place to eat! Service was top notch and the food was outstanding. The portions were large and we only had to wait for a short while for our food to get to our table. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Chicago.

This is a very typical place for tourists to enjoy american food and atmosphere. The restaurant is pleasant with wood furniture and pub decoration. I enjoyed ribbs and beer. This visit was satisfying, the restaurant is in the middle of downtown, very close to stores and museum. I recommend it as a standard old school place to have break during your visit.

I have been working downtown Chicago for 5 years and had no idea this jewel existed. The place was charming and absolutely packed on Friday night. The drink selection was good and their signature drink, the"Tom and Jerry", was a favorite of my Wife. The food was superb! They tout world famous ribs, steaks and seafood, but I was looking for something lighter for the late dinner we went there for. (Though I saw ribs at an adjacent table later and they both looked and smelled amazing). I ordered the Corned Beef Ruben and was not disappointed. The sandwich was huge with tender and tasty meat and a perfect balance of cheese, sauerkraut and sauce. The staff was very friendly and service was appropriately paced. I highly recommend trying this place out if in the area.

This is a classic tavern style restaurant with quality food. It's hard to pick from the menu because there are so many great choices. The Reuben sandwich is among my favorites, but Greek Chicken is also a strong contender. The waiters are superb and lend a feel of bygone days. Their service is excellent and attentive without being imposing. The autographed pictures of all the stars who had visited Miller's were removed during recent renovation and put in the upstairs banquet facility. The pictures were a signature of the Pub throughout the decades. The atmosphere itself is warm and inviting and induces great conversation. Not too loud and not too quiet. Great Blues music played in the background, a reminder that you are in Chicagoland.

Best restaurant and pub. Excellent services. Decor is so beautiful and the interior of the restaurant is just amazing. Variety of food and drinks are available at reasonable price. Surely i will come again.

Food was good. Service sucked. Not sure if it was because we have tattoos or because the waiter was just bad... wouldn't come back. Worked in a restaurant/bar for too long to be treated badly.

A fantastic Chicago original. It has been Downtown forever. Just a great place to dine or have a few cocktails. Famous for ribs. The ribs do not disappoint. A must when in Downtown Chicago.

I have been going to Miller's since I was a young kid. Having moved from the area, I always make it a point to stop in when I am in town. It has good food and is priced well. Nice place to stop in to have a drink and a bite to eat while taking a break!

Just a quick review of a great bite to eat I had while on a trip to Chicago over MLK weekend. After visiting the Cloud Gate, we were hungry before going to the airport and Yelp suggested Miller s Pub a short walk away.

The place was classic Chicago with a throwback feel that made it seem like the fellas from SNL would be in the back talking about Da Bears . Service was great and on point with bussing and drink refills. While our waIter Matt, could have tried to up-sell me to a steak sandwich he suggested the Truffle Burger and it did not disappoint!

Cooked to order perfectly with a soft and sweet brioches bun, the burger Was not greasy at all with fries and all the burger staples. In addition, we ordered the cheese curds, onion rings, and because people praised the ribs, we got a sampler of bbq ribs. Tender and moist the meat had a great taste and the rib sauce was sweet and tangy adding a great compliment to the taste rather than overpower it.

At the end of the day, we dipped in quick, hoping just to grab something not from a chain but hoping for something good if not great. We landed on outstanding and with more time to really look around, this good easily be 5 stars!

I have been here a lot and its not bad but it does not live up to the hype. I heard there are famous people who come here every once in a while but thats it for me. The drinks were pretty good but food was okay, again it was probably because this was overhyped to me.

Normally I love this place however this trip to Millers was horrible. Service was a joke. Took forever for a family of 4. Had to constantly get up to ask the manager for napkins, sauces, etc.. server was not very pleasant and almost annoyed with us for asking for different things we needed. In the end they gave us a discount but manager could have cared less. Hope they were just having a bad day.

Just arrived in Chicago after a long flight. My family eventually made our way down to The Millers Pub dinner. We ordered a drink at the bar and had a horrible experience with the Bartender Kevin. The bartender Kevin was rude and down right nasty! His disgusting personality does not need to be in the customer service industry. What s even worse was the manager excuse for the bartender was that he Kevin has worked here for 25years and that s how he is. He s own co-workers such as Miguel was afraid to approach him. Avoid this place like the plague or at least Kevin! After 25yrs of working at The Millers Pub Kevin needs a break!

The host was so terrible. He didn t seem to want to serve guests. When I visited here to just drink, the bar seats were full so I told him that there was no seat available and then his attitude was definitely uncomfortable. I never recommend here.
