I would not recommend to anyone!

I would not recommend to anyone!

Not only did I have an entire glass of tea spilled on me by my waitress (Amanda)
- There was no apology
- She did not offer to clean up/dry off my chair or my clothes
- My shirt is now stained
- I paid with cash and did not receive any change or a receipt for my order
- The food was nothing special and extremely overpriced

Very unsatisfied first time customer!

This is the first internet review I have ever left.

Came at about 1130a on a Saturday... GREAT atmosphere superb wait staff, excellent food quality and the portions are exceptionally large. Also not a bad price at about a 12/14 dollar average.

EXCELLENT selection of local craft beers and a wide selection of specialty beverages.

The drink menu also features a very cool history of Millers Pub.

Asked for the heaviest drink he could make, and I got the best damn Manhattan Rye I've ever had. Tip him well.

If you are looking for a convenient place to eat or drink in downtown Chicago and want to avoid bland chain restaurant mediocrity, then this is the place for you. They have a great craft beer selection and the food is good. It's fairly loud when crowded, but not so loud you can't carry on a conversation. The bartenders are the best thing about the pub.

So the sloppy joe was definitely quality meat. Although more like a sloppy Joseph as it was not as sweet and simple as a joey the extra star was thrown n due to the fact they have FREAKING PEANUT BUTTER AND CHOCOLATE CHEESE CAKE... I AM forever grateful..

Food was above average. Ambiance was very Chicago, but this particular night it was shoulder-to-shoulder crowded because of a business party. Hostess was rude and impatient. Waitress (Evelyn) was unacceptably rude and it felt like we were inconveniencing her the whole time. This place used to have good service but it hasn't lately apparently.

Nice vibe. Very busy on friday night which is super fun!!! Had so nice beer and drink list. I and my old frnd had such a great time. People there (customers and employees both) were awesomely friendly and social. Good place to visit if you are in downtown chicago. Highly Recommend!

All the dishes here were very well cooked and seasoned. The draw back to our visit here is that the staff was subpar. Our greeting was unwelcoming. Then our waitress did not listen to our orders. Most importantly from one of guest at the table said no croutons please they are gluten free due to medical conditions and it came with croutons and another that dressing on side and it had it on top but the person next to them had their dressing on the side and didn't request it. Waitress was also not around to fix these items or checked in.

DO NOT GO HERE, unless you are hunting an authentic Chicago atmosphere and an exceptional experience. Dimly lit Edison bulb chandlers, illuminate the dark interior of this Chicago institution. Walk in the black slate doors and peel to the right for a picture perfect 1940's bar and high tops, or continue to the left for main room dinning.

No matter what you prefer, an expertly made cocktail or one of the finest beer lists inside the loop, you'll find it here. The bar manager has great taste and definitely takes pride in maintaining rare and unique brews inside the tap lines. Ann (our server) was fun, smiling, and offered great advice. She was up to speed on everything available.

Its easy to settle in and imagine Bugs Moran and the rest of his irish mob bellied up to the bar.

Enjoy great portions and mouth watering eats. 10 - 15$ burgers or sandwiches and 20-40$ + for dinner entries. Great steak and seafood as well as a solid selection of traditional American grub. (One of the top 5 best Reubens in town and definitely the number 1 best for less than $12)

The food is spot on. You will want to enjoy every last bite. Even the coleslaw is amazing, I usually hate coleslaw....

What are you waiting for? Why are you still reading this? Get over there. You won't be disappointed, especially if you're from out of town and/or looking for old style charm in the windy city!!

Very good and large selection of draft beers but, unfortunately, my white beer arrived with no head (foam) on the top, as it should be served.

My reviews are mixed and they aren't even considering the food, because, well, I've only been here after 10pm for some post drinks cocktails. So let's give it points for it's history and longevity. Assuming that all the reviews are accurate, sounds like they offer a good menu so points for that too.

Now, for the cocktails. Every time I've been here, it's been nearly impossible to find a spot at the bar. The last visit, there were no less than 4 booths with reserved signs on them and yet it was after 10pm and highly unlikely that these tables were being saved for people looking for dinner. I take a star away because last time when I asked the server about the status of the reserved tables, I was told very rudely that some people want to eat. In my mind, I'm thinking and some people want a tip; which I would give you if I were allowed to sit at this table and an empty table equals zero tip. The cocktails seem pretty standard. A few beers on tap, full bar, but I don't recall ever being given a drink menu.

The bar is made up of a lot of hotel staying folks from around the corner so it's a mixed bag of locals and tourists/business travelers. Bartenders have been pretty attentive. Drink prices seem average. I would say it's a staple in Chicago and good for the area, but not sure it would hold it's status in many other areas of the city.

I went here when I was nine. me, my brother and my parents went out to eat dinner before we went to a White Sox game. While we were eating the owner or manager had been walking around and stopped at our table. He asked my family what we were doing for the night, we told him that we were going to be going to be going to the White Sox game, he asked where we were going to be sitting. We told him that we were way out in the bleachers and he stopped us with what we were saying and said, not anymore you aren't, he pulled 4 tickets out of his pocket and said here are you're new seats. It was 4 seats that were the fifth row behind the White Sox dugout . Shout out to the nicest person we ever met on vacation

This pub has been in Chicago since 1935. It's your typical pub with craft beers and a very nice American fare menu. I wanted a good Chicago steak and they accommodated. It was done to my liking. My filet came with sauteed mushrooms. I was disappointed with the mushrooms, I was expecting fresh sauteed not canned. I had a salad with my steak. My drink however was a little weak for $10.00. If they ask you if you want to make it a double for a few dollars more take it as a hint and order the double. Lots of ice not so much liquor for the price. It's also a very very loud place. Overall I enjoyed the meal.

EDIT: Visited again in late December 2019. Sat at the bar and had a few beers. Kevin, the bartender, is a great guy and an asset to Miller's.

After a long morning and afternoon of shopping and sightseeing we stopped at Miller's for a beer and a seat. We chose to sit at the bar but it was pretty packed.

The place looked really nice so we got a table in the back, upstairs. I wanted to be a little closer to the action but, hey, you don't always get what you want. We were seated by a surly looking gentleman who, from his mannerisms and facial expression, reminded me a little of Ed Sullivan. He didn't say anything after showing us to our table.

Our really jovial and attentive waitress arrived and took drink order and left some menus. All the while "Ed" and another waitress were alternately arguing about something and b!tching about other people working there. It was pretty entertaining stuff. Other people might have been put off by it.

I got the lamb sandwich and it was really good, thick slices of meat with lettuce, coleslaw, tomatoes and a pickle on crusty French style bread. The fries were just the basic type that I think might have been store bought but they were delicious.

I washed it all down with a New Belgium "Fat Tyre" beer.

Their beer menu is pretty decent.

I like the interior and the vibe from the place. It had a nice hubbub from all the folks finishing work or meeting friend and having a good time.

This is a great place to go with any company, any age because the menu has something for everybody, and it's all good. Very non presumptuous place. Well stocked bar/tap. Especially good if you're looking for a big meal. Surprisingly, there is a lot of seating here so if you encounter dozens of people waiting for a table before you, be patient. because it wont take long and will be worth it.

Great old-school restaurant that's perfect for lunches in the Loop. Plenty of crowd pleasers such as turkey open face sandwiches, meatloaf, chicken pot pies, etc.

It's usually pretty crowded during lunch but you can still get a table pretty easily. And the service is fast and friendly.

Prices are affordable too. All in all, it's a solid place to have lunch when you're tired of fast casual.

I frequent this outstanding place from time to time because I enjoy the special air that is outline this place. The team is very friendly and professional. The service is remarkablywonderfully quick. Needless to say, the food they serve is highly distinguished. I frequent many times and I was always pleased. The pay is modest. I highly suggest this restaurant to my friends and family.

A Chicago institution. Great place for a bite before the CSO, or after visiting the Art Institute. I love the portraits of the drunkards behind the bar. Best place to stop in for that last call late night drink downtown too.

Great service and decent prices. We had the spagehhti and "famous" ribs. The spagehtti sauce tatsed like burnt ass hairs if you can imagine that... serioisly tho dont get the pasta. The ribs were cooked so perfectly, but then again with the sauce, was extremely bitter and not appetizing. Ended up eaging two ribs and leaving them there. Maybe it's just me but i was expecting more of a sweet and/or tangy flavor but it tasted like i was drinking spoiled milk. Kinda a sad. I had high hopes for this place with the good reviews.
