piked up some good tips

Just got back from there for a ASUs Gaming laptop repair since I spilt tea on the keyboard so the guy stripped it and took a look and said everything was nothing too major and sorted it all out for me.
Great service

My laptop (over 5 years old) had been showing its age for a while and then just gave a black screen with flashing light on the caps lock key. I looked online for how to reboot (it wouldn't) and potential causes/repairs did not seem worth it for the age of machine. Being new to the Oswestry area we found Micro Plus Computers and took the laptop to them for advice on whether it might be repairable.

Aaron Winson (Technical Sales Advisor) tried different options to revive the laptop and it didn't respond. He consulted with a colleague and explained that they could strip it down and run diagnostics to find the fault but depending on what might be causing the issue it would not make financial sense to replace a motherboard or hard disc if they proved faulty. The cost and likelihood that it might not be repairable were made clear to us.

Having a reasonably recent backup I chose to ask them to scrap the laptop and they clarified how they do so. I asked what purchase options they had for a similar spec (there was no hard sell) and was shown the options. I chose a Lenovo as I have previous experience of Lenovo from a work setting and had liked using them. We also chose a Windows tablet for my husband with attachable keyboard. We were told about deals coming out so that we could make informed choices and went with our initial choices. The prices we paid seemed good value for money.

Once home and starting to familiarise ourselves with our new machines we had some questions and found it easier to pop back to the shop to ask these and be shown what to do (the shop is very local to us). Aaron explained why we were seeing what we were and answered our questions at a level appropriate to our lack of knowledge.

We were both impressed not only with the excellent level of customer service but also technical knowledge. We were not charged for the additional help we sought and when we offered payment this was politely declined. Aaron and his colleagues offer one-to-one and group training and I aim to take advantage of this shortly as each time we are forced to buy new technology (through laptops or phones failing due to age) I find myself increasingly struggling to know how best to optimise settings for performance and security, let alone enjoyment.

We find it rare to come across a company that provides such excellent service and were very pleasantly surprised to do so. As such, it is with pleasure that we submit a review of our experience. We would highly recommend Micro Plus Computers and I am certain we shall continue to be customers.

Nice enough blokes, but pretty poorly organised, and a bit over zealous. They couldn't fix my issue, and I would have like to have had my expectation set at the start. Be warned works chargeable if they fix the problem or not! Worth knowing. The location is a bit out of the way, I went because I thought it might be better than other phone repair shops, sadly I am not sure it was.

The Price is good. Fast work and helpful service. Great shop!

Popped in for a diagnosis on a problem with a laptop under warranty elsewhere - to pick their brains basically. They fixed the problem while I waited, saving me all the hassle of returning the machine. So nice to be able to shop locally and get such excellent attention.

Not a very good service, some of the staff spoke a lot of rubbish told me I needed a new laptop when all I needed was was a new screen. I saved a lot of money going elsewhere.

I have used his company three times, and they are faultless. The assistance they provide is given willingly and pleasantly and they have never failed to sort a problen quickly and efficiently.

This is the second time I have taken my beloved iPad to Jason because I've cracked the screen again! I live near Ludlow but happy to take it to Micro Plus for the repair because I knew they would do a great job. Screens vary in quality and I know with Micro Plus repairs I get a good screen, and a guarantee! Very professional. Would go back again.

Micro Plus certainly lived up to their reputation. Fantastic knowledgeable service from Aaron who explained all the technical details of the laptops in a simple and understandable manner. Excellent value for money and the laptop was completely set up for us as well. We would definitely second the family recommendation and it was worth our trip from Cambridge.

We have used Micro Plus in the past without problems, but an Australian visitor who was with us on Tuesday bought "My Passport" on his credit card. He'd told us that he was buying it for himself, when in fact he was giving is to us as we'd told him we were going to buy a bigger-capacity data stick in the next week or so.

I called the store today (Wednesday) to explain the situation: that we already have an external back-up device, so could we please simply exchange this device for a data stick (we're not interested in the monetary value, and have no idea of the cost of the item), but that the visitor had left and we had no receipt.

I was told by the employee, who was obviously the person who had conducted the transaction as he clearly remembered it, that there was a strict 'no refund' policy. He had asked our visitor if he wanted a receipt, but the reply was no thanks.

So, a brand new, unused item, that we wished to simply exchange for something of much lower value, and the answer is an emphatic 'no'.

So much for "customer service", and we know from whom we will not be buying in the future.

No sales here anymore just repairs but have saved my bacon twice now with recovering data from failed drives. So efficient & friendly, would recommend to anyone.

I attended a course recently on Windows 10, and it was excellent. I am quite a novice on computers, but I found their tuition was very easy to understand. I wouldn't hesitate to attend another one. Dan and Aaron were first class.

The person who helped me was very reassuring, saying that they could definitely fix my printer but it could take up to 3 days. In the event it took about 3 hours - excellent service, will definitely use them again should I need to

I found Wednesday's Windows 10 course excellent. It contained the information I wanted, was pitched at the right level and delivered in a relaxed but professional way.
Dan & Aaron's knowledge was clear in the way they were able to answer any questions clearly, pleasantly and without hesitation. The 90 minute flew by.

happy with the experience of buying a custom built desktop.

I have been a customer here for several years. I need to be on line and mobile most of the day. I need a place where I can talk directly to people who can fix things or set me up face to face on lap top or desk top.. These guys do a great job fast, efficient expert service at reasonable prices. Latest is a Lap Top upgrade all sorted and data and programs transferred in a few hours.

Dan gave a clear helpful presentation and did well to answer ever ones questions.
The initiative to provide these lectures confirmed my high opinion of your service. Well done!
