Wife and I went car shopping on the david taylor website a 1-800 number called me asked me about the vehicle I was looking at set up and appointment for us to come and take a look. We were seen and greeted by Jordan, man this guy went above and beyond to get us a good deal I know that's his job but he made it personal didn't just try to get money out of my pocket. He asked how many kids we had etc. To make sure the car was the right fit for our family we were there a couple hours no fault of the dealership just other people were buying as well I strongly recommend david taylor dealership in michigan city and jordan as a salesman.

I came in to look at cars and I didn t feel pressured at all. Everyone there was nice and very pleasant to talk too, not to mention knowledgeable about the vehicles they were selling! I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking to purchase a car, whether that be new or used!

Tabitha was professional, informative and helpful. Her and her team were great to work with and made buying our truck easy.

I live in south bend and I saw a post for a car it turned out to be in Michigan city I said I have no way of getting there its 45 minutes a way and I have my arm in a shoulder immobilizer. The sales man said no problem I can come get you. Buying a car is a stressful experience as is. After like 4 hours we settle on a specific price and then they try to add the powertrain warranty I said look if we can agree to a price that's not much more sure peace of mind. 2 days later I get a call saying I have to come back 1hr and 30 minutes total to resign I get upset. And I feel belittled by Danny when he tells me I can't give up when the going gets tough. He doesn't know anything about me. First time buying a car through credit and it was awful. Steve tries to offer me a free oil change but again its 1hr 30 minutes away.... I'll change my oil in town in the end I have no warranty like i originally planned and my experience started out good but went down hill super fast. I have no problems so far with my car it's the customer service I spent a large portion of my money there Stephen was way nicer then Danny and though He tried to reach out after the conversations with Danny I just felt like I just needed to handle it in person so Danny because he never met with me prior and can see my shoulder mobilizer and how much of an inconvenience it was. Steve said they can try and be there for whatever other paperwork and try to meet me in my town if anything comes up. I think if Steve would have been the first to contact me my experience would have been different since I had met with him n he had seen my broke shoulder.

Bought a new vehicle at this dealership. No big deals here, pretty much paid sticker because I wanted the vehicle. They gave me mid book for my trade which is what I expected. Tried to get $500 less out of me but I did not budge. Sales works in an old fashioned tag team. Internet sales persons job is to get you in the door, has no authority at all. Kinda aggravated me. You deal with a salesman that has no authority, his job is to befriend you. Then you have a head sales guy, he works behind the scenes and the guy that holds the salesman s leash, then the finance guy. They were real covert about the bottom line, kinda pushy getting that deposit then very elusive about out the door price. I already knew, but went along with their game. Finance guy was pretty odd, tried to get me to sign for a $250 brake light flasher which I never ordered. Very slow on paperwork and really tried to sell me a bogus extended warranty.
Service here is bad. I ll let them do warranty work but you best check it out good when you get it back. They do nothing special for you here. I can t say I ll stay here for even warranty service, I don t trust them and caught the service manager in several inconsistencies let s say. Pretty building and all, but be careful here. These guys tag team you, befriend you etc. so know your stuff and be aware of the game. No extras here.

Danielle was a great girl to work with. We came in one day and they didn t have exactly what we were looking for. She called us in a few weeks later as soon as the car got off the truck and took pics for us. She was super flexible with us coming in late on a Saturday afternoon. She also made sure that we got every rebate available. We weren t there all night. It was an overall great experience. She s even called us a few times afterwards to make sure we didn t have any questions!
Side note- josh the money guy was super quick and easy on his part. We appreciated that!

Johnny k. Was awesome!! Helped me out greatly and got me going in a nice vehicle. Greatly appreciated!! Editing my review, due to the service department. Sales department was A1. Really the only ones willing to help out. 2 stars for the service department tho. Purchased the 4 year engine and transmission warranty and the techs at this place did not bother to dig deep enough into my engine to find the knocking/ticking issue I was having. They didn't dig deep enough into my motor and pretty much put on the engine oil pan and told me to drive it since I'm covered until 2024 or 159000 miles. They claimed they wouldn't want me to pay a hefty bill if they couldn't find a cause of failure. THE MOTOR IS KNOCKING/ TICKING. YOU WOULDVE FOUND AN ISSUE. FIND THE ISSUE AND FIX THE ISSUE. Money wasn't a problem in this situation. I would've had the funds to get whatever needed done. The techs are to incompetent or lazy to do motor work. So if you ever need motor work or purchased the warranty that they offer you, take it somewhere else. It's not worth the time. Weeks of my vehicle sitting up there with phone calls back and forth from them to the warranty company. They were saying they are waiting on the warranty company, and the warranty company was waiting on them. LMFAO. Just an honest review from a unsatisfied customer. We were looking to purchase a brand new vehicle from them as well in a few more years. Guess we will take our business somewhere else.

Jonny was amazing, patient, and put me in my dream car thank you a million! Ill be only buying form here from now on! Great people everyone i had contact with, it was specially nice after having a horrible experience before hand at another dealership!

This place was awful!! The salesman talked about eating edibles from the break room and when on test drive he was always on his phone so asking for help with something didn't go very far and the employees swear at each other.

Stephen Nietzel did a great job throughout the whole sales process on my awesome Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited! It was much appreciated!

Went there on the 17th for a very very simple wiring job. Hooking up the wires for towing. Every video online show people doing it in less then 35 to 45 mins. Only reason I went there is because I don't trust myself doing electrical stuff. After my van got pulled into the back 3 people were looking at the instructions that should have been a red flag for me to leave but I stayed. 25 minutes later a guy comes up to me saying "Its going to be about 2 2.5 hrs for us to do the job because it's custom wiring.." I asked why so long videos show it taking less then 45 mins he assured me it wouldn't be that fast. Needless to say I left. Won't be going there very easy to see they love to milk the clock on jobs.

Would be nice if you did not block off the isles so that us Sunday car shoppers can get through to get a good look at all of the cars on a rainy day. my guess it would benefit you guys as well with more car sales.

I was very pleased with the communication between service desk personnel, technicians and myself. They responded immediately when I called for an update. There was an issue with the transmission which was quickly identified. Although a replacement part was not in stock, they had one delivered overnight. The part was installed the next morning and I was on my way.

Me and my family came to check out cars and we got Tabatha it was great to deal with her. She showed us what we wanted and what could get and got us a great deal with our new van, even with the kids acting up she made it quick and easy to get in and out with no trouble it was a great experience thanks again

Really felt they wanted my business. Went to another dealership before visiting Dave Taylor and can honestly say other dear shop was indifferent about me wanted to purchase a vehicle. Matt really cared. Also other dealerships prices were not even close to Dave Taylor prices. I also checked Carmax and Carvana. Their prices were out of touch with reality. Dave Taylor was easily the lowest prices. Finance department who drew up all of the paperwork was professional and efficient. I would definitely buy another vehicle from this dealership, especially Matt.

Went looking for a used vehicle and because of the knowledge of James Parrett and Scott Clausing, I was able to purchase a new Ram Truck. NO THEY DID NOT TALK ME INTO IT. They helped me find the best deal I could get. True professionals! When James could not be there then Johnny K. stepped in and helped. Great teamwork to get me my truck when I needed it to GO FISHING on Sunday. Just Awesome.

I would however suggest that whoever owns the business, find away that when you know that a person is buying a vehicle that you can offer them something to drink. I was their and did not have any change to get something to drink. In know way does this take from the outstanding experience I had buying my truck.

We were a signature away from buying car from another dealership. We didn t feel right about the transaction so we walked out and drove over to BIG. Johnny met us in lot and asked us what we were looking for. He showed us all of the vehicles that met our criteria and we went for a ride. Not once did he come across as pushy. When we decided on the perfect model, he helped us close the deal. Danny was very thorough and even when we decided not to purchase extra warranty, he did not lose his smile or excitement for us. They were able to find us an interest rate 1.5% lower than the other dealership. After we were handed the keys and took off, he still continued to look after our best interests....he called us to say he found an even lower interest rate!

Buying a car is stressful, we all know that....but it should also be exciting! It felt pretty incredible to pull out of the lot in our shiny (thanks Gavin O!) new Jeep Wrangler!!!!

Never had such a difficult time trying to Schedule appointment for diagnostics. Was put on hold for for 20 minutes, then hung up on. Then I called back, they wanted to put me on hold again. So i just decided to drive there, truns out theres three people working the service desk, but only one seems to want to actually help the customers. Stood there for about 15 minutes before i decided to call the valpo dealership. Valpo dealership made an appointment for me under five minutes .

Just bought a car that I actually wanted from David Taylor in Michigan City. This was a process I was dreading, I actually cried this afternoon thinking about it. But Josh Hendrix (aka Jimmy, not David) made my night painless. I spent less than 2 hours going through the whole process, and everyone here is genuine. Would recommend and return when needed!

No star if i could..had cash in my pocket and a trade in and they would not come down from $24 thousand to $22 thousand and my trade in..they insulted me by bringing a beat up Dodge from the back lot and said here ya go would this work..I wanted a chevy they had.
