For nearly 3 years I have been trying to get a home loan modification with BOA. I'm not sure if my disdain for them is worst than IRS but it's a close race at this point. LaChelle Paul assisted me EVERY step of the way. Although extremely frustrating at more times than necessary, we finally got a trial period modification July 2015 after filing Chapter 13 bankruptcy twice just to save the house. Oh what tangled web BOA weaved. In spite of it ALL, LaChelle wasn't having it. She definitely knows the law along with the ins and outs of "legally" handling bankruptcy and loan modifications to benefit the client and make them whole. Found the firm on a Google search. Their website advertised that they offer a free consultation for my specific issue. I called and set up an appointment. I was told that they do not offer free consultations and it is a $250 fee payable with cash or a check. I asked why the website says one thing and they are telling me another and the lady told me that most likely my issue will be resolved in one appointment, so there will be no opportunity for them to charge for services.
I arrived at the address on their website, 5901-A Peachtree Dunwoody Road, #525, Atlanta and the suite was occupied by another law firm. I asked and was told that the Galler law firm moved over a month ago. The receptionist had printed directions to the Galler Law firm's new address located at 750 Hammond Drive, Building 6, Suite 100, Atlanta. and said this has happened previously.
I immediately called Galler and told them of my situation. They apologized for not telling me they moved and not having their website up-to-date. I followed the directions and arrived at the new location a few minutes later, as it was about a mile or so away.
The first location I visited was a large, well maintained multi-building complex that emanated confidence and professionalism. When I arrived at the new location, it was an office complex composed of two story brick office buildings. The Galler office was located in the rear, basement level of one of the end buildings. As you approach the back door, there was a laminated piece of paper for their signage and it was laying on the stoop, not hanging. I opened the door and was in a foyer, which had one bench seat. There was a door, that was open advertising it was entry to a mortgage company and the other door advertised that it was Galler.
The door to enter the Galler office is an opaque white interior door, so you could not see in and it was locked. I knocked and no one answered. I saw a podium near the door that had a sheet of paper that said "Sign in and someone will be with you shortly". But, there was no pen, just a half dozen whole coffee beans lying on the paper. There were two entries on the sheet and the last person who signed was from the previous day in the morning, over 24 hours ago.
I knocked again and had a seat on the bench. While sitting there, I started Googling the firm trying to find more information and that is when I saw that they advertised a Groupon for law services, offering $250 for a consultation normally valued at $600. I thought that odd, since I was quoted $250 without a Groupon.
After waiting fifteen minutes, I left. Between the bait and switch free consultation, sending me to the wrong address, the decrease in office space size and prestige, the paper business sign, no one answering the door, the lack of customers signing in on the sheet - all gave me a bad feeling.
The law firm never called me back to inquire what happened to me. I arrived less than ten minutes after I spoke to them to tell them I was at the wrong address, they knew I was arriving, so there should be no excuses why no one answered the door.

I reached out to your office in regards to a consultation. I spoke with Karen who was unbelievably rude. I told her that i wouldn t be able to attend the appointment that had been scheduled by your answering service ( which i was unaware of). Furthermore, Karen your office manager accused me of disconnecting (hanging up on her) the phone call when i was looking to reschedule. For this being the first time me reaching out to your firm which by the way i was referred too i couldn t believe this experience. It truly felt as though i was being attacked over the phone call. I highly recommend Karen (office manager) being taken out of a role of leadership based on that experience. If she behaves in such manner i definitely would not like to see how everyone else is in the office.
Update: This review was suppose to be updated a few weeks ago. To let everyone know that the previous review was truly a knee-jerk reaction which I m sure every human being has done before! Once you called and explained to me what had happened with your staff and how they were going to be undergoing some more of the managerial training that you had to offer i felt that there was truly hope. For you to say Mr. Galler that i come off hostile you clearly have me confused with someone else. Being apart of the martial arts community and training and studying discipline, respect, honesty, and self control the last thing i would do is look to be hostile. So i take this as a huge insult to my character. I will continue to search for someone that can truly help better my situation. I m not looking for handouts. I have a VA loan with New Day Mortgage, which I did everything they asked of me for a loan modification and soon as my package was completed, they transferred my loan to another company, so they can foreclose.
