I have the annual pass and have a great time every time I go. I did the seal swim on 5-9-18 at 1:45pm and it was an amazing experience. Kane the seal is so cute and fun. The employees were all so nice, informative and helpful. My only minor complaint was that the pictures that you take should be included with the seal swim package or you should be able to just buy whatever pics you like best. Other than that I had a phenomenal day with the seals!
This is a tough review to write. I have mixed feelings about these Seaquariums. I do feel the mammals are treated with love and care but I also hate that they are in such a small confined space. I don't think my wife and I will go anymore to these but I also feel if I don't spend the money and if they go bankrupt, these mammals will instantly die or be mistreated. Again, mixed feelings. You decide.
I loved it!!! My first-time experience was amazing here!!! Y'all have to come if you can, I HIGHLY recommend it
Super awsome experience!! if your children have never seen creatures of the sea be ready to watch their beautiful faces in awe... bring a hat or something to cover it can get hot.. and maybe a backpack with snacks and for the little ones they have a little water park so bring a towel..and have fun!!!!
Recently had a terrible experience which proves they are just trying to overcharge their clients. I bought my wife a penguin encounter while doing so they had this "observer" ticket that they were offering online while booking the encounter where they stated us guest will be able to observe our family from an "observation area" that being said and haven gone there before and knowing the penguin isle I thought it was a special area and not the general admission one. So I went ahead and bought the observer ticket for $50 and was super excited because I would be able to take pictures during the experience. The day of the encounter comes along and once we got there we asked if in fact my observer ticket had a special area to be on, nobody of 5 staff members had an answer and the manager was not around apparently she was on lunch break at 11:30 am. After asking many times they confirmed the special "observer area that I paid extra for" was just the regular area that you get to observe from with the general admission ticket which I get a discounted rate on since my wife is a veteran. This got me extremely upset because they stated that $49.99 is they admission fee to their park and that is that the observer ticket is for. I called them out on their BS since I had just looked online and have paid the general admission before and their tickets are being sold for $39.99 and with the veterans discount my ticket usually ends of being $33.00 instead of $50. We ended up going to guest services and again no person that could process a refund was on staff on a busy Sunday afternoon (this is ridiculous) and they ask me to call Monday for a girl called Jasmine which should be processing my refund. I have been trying to contact her since then multiple times in a day with her extension number and she keeps on hanging up the phone and not returning call. Extremely dishonest and not efficient staff members at all!! Would not recommend this business to anyone and honestly is not even worth going there anymore. Everything is dirty and old and it seems like they do not spend a dime on upgrading the park at all.
So much time wasted (50 mins) making lines to buy an overpriced ice cream and a bottle of water. It's just ridiculous.
Thank you so much Ilsi and Keilah for your help and information! The best customer service you can receive! They smile at us and made us feel very welcome to the Seaquarium! Save our day!
Somewhat disappointed and saddened. I certainly don't feel that the animals are well taken care of and maintained. The only enjoyable part was a dolphins and they are probably sad too. We could see the ribs on the deer and the sea turtles shells were a mess.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The shows are great especially the dolphin experience. Don't expect too much it's a small park with little more to do than the shows and the presentations but if you like to see dolphins, whales and sea lions up close it's mokes for an enjoyable experience you remember for a long time
I took my grandchildren and had a great time. I haven't been there in 40 years, I will definitely take my grandchildren back.
One extra star for all the dolphin, whale and otter shows. Other than that there is nothing much there.
Definitely not worth the near 50 dollars you have to pay but it is cool just way too expensive for what it is
Zero stars, they don t even deserve one. They don t care about their animals at all, practically torturing them by providing inadequate necessities of food, shelter, etc. Would not recommend to anyone!
Enjoyed dolphin show then came the rain but we still walked around. We enjoyed the park.
Cute place for a family and not so much walking. My mom has trouble walking and was able to navigate the park pretty easy. Only issue was the Dolphin deck is not wheel chair accesible. And there should a seating area for elderly. Over all enjoyed the trip. TOTALLY BUMB OUT!!... That they no longer offer a pic with the Parrots on your arm. I suggest Jungle Island for more animal interactions.
It has a good place and I love it so much you have a good picture of dolphin Miami
Don't expect to see a variety of exhibits, but they have good dolphins, sea lions and other shows. It's recommended to spend a nice day with children...
I wish I could give it a ZERO. Miami Seaquarium has kidnapped your entertainment.
See Blackfish Movie, Lolita (shown in movie), the last killer whale in captivity has been locked in a concrete pool for over 40 years. She is starved so she can perform tricks for you. They have made millions of dollars for over 40 years on her back. It's time to RETIRE LOLITA. Why should suffer for your amusement!

Brought my 11 year old nephew from IL to swim with the dolphins. He had the hugest smile on his face from start to finish! He touched, fed, played with them, and held onto the dorsal fin and took a ride from a dolphin! It was a day that he will really remember!! The rest of the park was fun as well from the shows, to climbing the great big, tall gym of ropes, wires and planks, to challenge his balance and adventure, while wearing a safety harness. We loved it all and got a ton of great photos.
The facility needs a serious upgrade and the animals' habitat/living quarters need to be cleaned.
Rather go to a sanctuary and see happy animals than go to this dump. All the enclosures are tiny, and the animals look sick and sad. Not worth the money to see depressed animals in tiny habitats.
Worst place ever. Should be banned. Save your money go elsewhere
Whale show is incredible. But it's a small aquarium with not much to see
Good place for family. Maintenance is on the low side
This trip was awesome. Daniel M. on the sky trail was great today very patient with my young children and I. Way too much to see in one day. Loved it!! We will be back
They give a d.. about the animals. Do not support them by going there.
A lot of fun for the kids , but in summer the heat is ruf.
Very limited variety of attractions. 2 thumbs down.
Had fun. But I was under they impression that it was much bigger
Pricey for the number of shows that were closed. The adult ticket was about $50.00. The aquarium is closed for repairs and the Killer Whale show was closed. Several food concessions were closed including the BBQ and slushy place.
Overall seaquarium was great for the kids, the show's were nice and entertaining.
However I would not recommend eating at the cafe, the service there was the worst I have ever encountered, the guys serving the food looked like they did not want to be there and so slow. No one bothered cleaning serving trays so we had to carry the food by hand.
Was a complete disgrace, dirty cafe, tables and floor, all in all a zero rating is too good for them.
I must say, I was very impressed with the people and exhibits at the Miami Seaquarium when I took my out of town guests there yesterday. I haven't been there for years and I wasn't sure what to expect. The staff are very friendly and the shows are really fun. True, they are a little hokey and not the same as going to Orlando, but that justs adds to the charm. My guests loved the entire day and I am really happy that I went.
Went swimming with the dolphins, such an awesome experience for the girls and I. Purchased a deal off Groupon, which came with a season pass for the seaquarium. Got wet at all shows & very prepared for it. You ll be sure to enjoy with the family.
Great place for young and old. Loved the whale show.
Nice experience swimming with dolphins, it is the only place in Miami where you can do it, it is better to go on weekdays than go on weekends, recommended!
Great place to spend the afternoon with family and friends. Loved the exotic birds and shows. Another great place to people watch in Miami.
Attractions closed when we went on a Saturday, and half the concession stands closed
It is obvious their animals are well taken care of here and the employees respect the animals. We attended all of the shows and really enjoyed them, especially the Flipper and Friends show. It's cool to watch how the animals and the trainers interact. We came on a Monday and there was probably 100 people, it was so nice, it seemed like we practically had the parks to ourselves. There is so much to see and do. Yes admission is pricy, but you can easily get a discount on Groupon. It would be nice to see the facility updated and cleaned up a bit however. But I really liked how it was mainly outside but they also had some indoor exhibits. It seemed like a learned a lot here. The seals and sea lions were my favourite!
Got our tickets from Get Your Guide, yet we had to be in the q to get printed tickets. Well that was not at all a hastle though. Once you get in its full of fun. The shows are thoughtfully arranged so that you don't miss any. Check out my photos... Have fun...
We had a great time! We bought the summer passes which were an amazing buy! 4 venues and unlimited entry for $57. Loved all the shows. And really enjoyed the Seaquarium with the entire family. The one downfall was the heat but its expected for south florida in the summer. The good thing was that we had the passes so we didnt mind cutting the day short and going back another day.
"Parking and food a bit pricey for a family outing, but good family time spent."
Everyone is friendly, and lots of sea life to see. Swimming with the dolphins is great too
Kids loved it...they are 6 and 4. Prices are a bit high, unless you get a discount. Good shows included for free.
Most of the times you would not buy much here cause they have very expensive stuff, but it must be visited for the experience.
Miami Sea Aquarium is a total disappoinment. Parked looks to be without the proper maintenance, kids Pirate Playground was close, the shows were a total lecture on environmental awareness, I get that as an adult but what the kids want to see is the actual dolphin, sea lions and Lolita perform. With all the talking the kids were bored within the first 2 minutes. The day was a total joke. The $100 in tickets was money down the drain. Giving a rating of 1 star so I can post this review. My actual review is ZERO STARS.
A wonderful place in Miami to expose and educate people of all ages to the wonders of marine wildlife.
We had such a good time here there is much to do and lots of food to choose from as well gift shops
I dont know but i feel like the animals get tired by the end of the day of performing show every other 30 minutes
Getting some memories in before the place changes but field trip days during the summer are not easy there.
There will be really thrilling experience if you are ready to loosen your pocket and spend more time.
If you are considering visiting the Seaquarium in Miami, please re-consider as you are supporting an aquarium who bought their killer whale Lolita from one of the largest whale captures in history. She was born wild and captured at just 4 years old. She currently lives in the smallest aquarium of any other captive whale in the world. Please do not support this aquarium and look for any of the thousands of other things to do in Miami :) <3
It was our fault for booking tickets without looking at all images to realize this aquarium is very outdated, small, and such a let down considering it s in a major coastal city. Atlanta should be hat the heads of this facility should look towards. At least the 40.00 ticket fee would go to taking care of the animals. The staff are very nice, dedicated, the facility is kept up. However as stated it dates from the 1950 s. With parking almost 100.00 for two people is only good to help the animals. Wouldn t recommend or every go back.
I had a blast. Just me and my husband went
And it was awesome. We even get to touch the dolphins the shows are fun. The staff are friendly
I can't wait to take my kids
Due to hurricane Irma half of the exhibitions are closed but they are still charging full price: That is 50$/pers + 10$ for parking. That is a steep price for a depressing aquarium with very little variety of fish presented in poor form. We couldn't see some of the shows because we weren't there at the right time. Save your money and avoid the attraction.
Great experience with dolphins, if you ever do it, be aware of the pictures that they take of you and then solicit you to buy it for hundreds of dollars, yes literally $135 per person for the pictures they take of you. Better have someone with you taking your pictures with your own phone/camera.
Too Expensive for what they offer. They charge $10 for parking which is a rip off. If you don't have cash to pay for parking then you have park, go pay at the kiosk, go back to the parking entrance to show them the ticket and go back to the car to put the ticket on the display. Image doing all this with your kids in your arms in Miami heat. Shame
Free Lolita and all the other animals caged and kept in awful cramped conditions
Nice venue to spend some time with kids, the tanks are a bit dirty
With all the bad reviews, I did not know what to expect, but it was awesome. This is a place to see if you are from the North. The dolphin encounter was worth the money for a lifetime experience. You can really see the Love the trainer's give to the animals. A definitely Must See!
Renovations taking place, nice family place. My son loves it
Boring and expensive, in 2 hours you can finish your tour.
There is no much to see there and it s not clean.
They aren t maintain properly the place and you can see that by a lot of rust all over.
I wouldn t go there again.
Expensive for what you get. $143 for 3 people. Stayed about 2 hours. Not much to see. Whale show was pretty good.
Very expensive for what it is. But still one of the few places you can see a dolphin or killer whale show
Lots of fun shows. It is definitely worth visiting. Very educational, and lots of fun for the family.
Very expensive, not well maintained, outdated and dirty. The animals look miserable there. I finished in one hour and left depressed for the conditions the animals have to live in, it's just terrible. 110 dollars in the trash
Wonderful experience swimming with Dolphins and Seals. All money spent goes back into wildlife rescue.
It was such an amazing experience! The park is on the small side yes, but I do prefer that and even though we were there the whole day there was still plenty to see and try. I especially enjoyed the fact that everyone seemed extremely professional, and that there were plenty information about the animals and their rehabilitation.
The employees are very nice and cheerful, and the overall vibe is so calming!
Great except for services. No one really seems to want to work there.
We had a great time seeing the animals and hearing about their efforts to help sea life. The shows were on a great schedule, everything could be seen in a reasonable amount of time without missing anything. It was great to enjoy the shows with so many people having fun together but with multiple exits we were able to weave around the school groups and move onto the next thing. We did the Dolphin Odessy encounter as a fun treat for our honeymooning. It was so cool being in the water with the dolphins and swimming with them. We were disappointed however that after spending a pretty penny to do our encounter that to then purchase the photos they took during were almost the same cost as the encounter itself. Even to purchase just one photo to commemorate our time with the dolphins was $45. Otherwise we enjoyed the exhibits and all of the animals, there were plentiful food options and great ac when you needed to escape the heat. We would love to come to the Seaquarium again, only next time we will take our own photos for us to remember it by.
Lots of fun things to do. Amazing shows. And very informative.
Free Lolita! Orcas don't belong in tanks! Send her back to her family in the wild!
I swear if the entry price were cheaper I would go every week. I was a child again in this place
unfortunate we don't have the option of a zero stars rating. deteriorating park, illegal living conditions, cruel treatment to the performers and a general disregard for the safety of the audience. modern day slavery at it's finest. but gives one heck of a show if your into watching animals become listless and slowly losing interest in living because that's what you're paying for!
I went one time and I don't want to go back. I felt so sad about Lolita (the whale)I think the tank is extremely small. They are next to the ocean they should have bigger and better tanks for the animals.
Great place for family and good animal shows all day long.
Love this place! My boys love the animals. Everyone is very nice there. I will definitely be coming back to bring my whole family.
Very cool place for our family to visit. So many good shows so come early. We loved it!
