We have circumnavigated the shipyard with the MS Papenburg and, unlike other reviews, can only say that
11 euros per person are reasonable,
Fuel costs money. The captain may not come across well, but everyone is different. We also had a dog on board which was easy.
I think with a bit of luck you can better see the ships in front of the shipyard.

Super interesting. One is brought by bus from the tourist information directly to the site of the Meyer shipyard. Very long but entertaining tour of the area. Our tour guide showed us and explained everything with a lot of humor and patience.

How good is that, please, when you have logged in and the forklift driver is already waiting for you at the agreed place. And then the boys also know what they are doing. Unfortunately you do not always see, but here. Thumbs up . The WUG team from Papenburg.

During the visit you are beaten only in a monkey tooth.
When I was there 4 years ago, everything was more relaxed and you had enough time to look at everything and you could reasonably understand the guide.
The bus driver told us that he had over 500 passengers on the shipyard tour that day.

I only saw the Meyer shipyard from the outside that day. It's a huge building that build a huge ship every year. That day another ship was outside. The lifeboats were checked. Many people watched and marveled at the ship. There was also a grill stall and an information booth set up there.

The Meyer shipyard is a star on the horizon and was rumored many years ago that it would be so clean that you could eat there floor, even in our time you could experience up close, truly the happenings, as the staff accomplished this all "to build these cruise giants" and then in the 1980Jahren visitors could actually touch such a ship, but unfortunately there were and are everywhere envious and thus this close-skin experience turned off, now you can walk through a glass tunnel shielded through the yard and just marvel at what for masterpieces to be created there. In any case, it is a must for anyone who is capable of progress, technology of a special kind and what people can accomplish, whether small or big, to look at this superlative. Every year Richtig Weener / Leer of the North Sea vaporizes these luxury liners and if this is a German ship, then in Emden everything that the crew and guests need is equipped with luxury goods and utility stands, otherwise in the Netherlands in Eemshaven , You should also look at Eemshaven, a seaport of a special kind, where you will find special ships in different designs and even marvel at them. In the meantime, the Meyer shipyard is building environmentally friendly ships that run on LPG and have therefore developed a completely new drive technology. But as it is, where planing is also shavings fall and thus the Ems of Papenburg dammed, because of the flow conditions dug and of course by the deeper dredging accelerated the flow "so that the floating palaces can steam through the green meadows" and Years ago, one considered building a relief channel for the Ems, so that the wonderful river is relieved. "Incidentally, the Ems is Germany's smallest river and thus not just a river," but the landowners will probably not want to give up any land. But it is important that the ship technology location of the superlative Papenburg is expanded and thus is a discharge channel for the Ems end survival essential, also by the climate change, the coastline and inland why can not be maintained, our seaports and beyond even something else to come up with Unfortunately, Leer, Papenburg and other inland ports will become seaports and such a discharge channel can relieve the inland.

Very interesting and informative tour of the shipyard. Very nice guide. For children from 6 years already exciting.
I found the guide just a little too fast in some places.
Otherwise, a great tour. To recommend.

I did a sightseeing tour there and I really liked it, the family history is very interesting and how the shipbuilding works is presented in great detail with models and the explanations of the tour guides I can only recommend it. There is also a great souvenir shop at the end.

Interesting tour! Very interesting shipyard. Stunning insights into shipbuilding. At the time of my visit, a ship was almost finished. That's really impressive, being so close to a cruiser.
